Greetings from the East Pacific!
The Stabilizing Force of 1 Infinite Loop is in the 513th day of his delegacy, and the population of the East Pacific is currently 6822 nations.
Role-play
In "Ekibiyo", the Neko Flu seems to have reached a dormant stage, where no new infections are surfacing. As in real life, however, be prepared for the virus to mutate at some point and the process to start all over again.
In "Peacekeepers", the Dannistrians are handing over control of southern Tyrsis Imperium to FPS. Meanwhile, the media from the highly respected nation of Kelssek are accusing Dannistaan of staging a conquest rather than a peacekeeping operation. Accusations are hurled about certain officials in former Kelssek governments having sold chemicals to the Emperor of Tyrsis Imperium. Meanwhile, the Dannistrians have authorized "Stardust" a 'go' in Norden Tyrsis City. As far as what it is, right now, your guess is as good as mine!
"War of Eternity" has become frightening for those rooting for East Malaysia. Of the 200 ships sent to help Vantex, only 28 returned unscathed having engaged the West Malaysian fleet. One of the EM ships managed to locate Malay Prime, but in relaying that information back to the Empress, gave away the location of East Malaysia. Kandarin's fleet has come to the aid of EM, as has the fleet of Phoenix 1 (the Mechans) as the West Malaysian fleet moves into the solar system. Another 152 East Malaysian ships have come limping home. Meanwhile, the Empress has left EM in the Eastrovia, the oldest ship in the fleet, headed for Malay Prime.
A thread that started back in November has picked up again. Aquinasnet is a nation run by a tyrannical computer. During the Dov war, Aquinasnet and the Pax computers went head to head, temporarily weakening the machine and allowing a few resistance groups to get a message out and arrange to have one of their members picked up offshore by FPS. The Aquinas human, Magnus, spoke of a "Satan-machine" which banished religious groups but wasn't able to stop the faith from spreading. Brother Samus, a high Priest or commander, says that the machine is about to invade Seekers of G-D, a nation close to FPS.
In "Out of the Mist", Commander Rainer has met with the Grand Vizier of the EP, and is meeting with those diplomats still remaining in Rillanon. The Coalition also arranged for a ship to land in EM to help transport civilians.
Off-Topic Forums
Topics in the Lounge have ranged from "Stupid Computer Fun!" through "Neener neener, Macs got a virus..." through to "Jokes" along with other things in between.
Whew! Well that's it for this week from the EP! As always, if you have any questions/comments/complaints/etc., please feel free to post them here and I'll do my best to answer them, or find someone who can! Have a great week! :waves:

March 2nd, 2006
Greetings once again from the East Pacific! My apologies for being late with my report. Somehow I lost a day this week...
The Stabilizing Force of 1 Infinite Loop has served the EP as delegate for 521 days, and the region currently sits at 6817 nations.
We have lost one of our long time members, Krechzienko, to outside commitments. He was not only regional Consul to the EP and an outstanding role-player with his phenomenal background in history, but was, and still is an incredible person to talk to. He will be sorely missed.
Off-Topic Forums
The Pacific Interactive Forum has been busy this week, although the lounge has been relatively quiet. Many of us visit the South Pacific Forum, or, of course, Hyrule.
Role-Play
In "Out of the Mist", Commander Rainer of the Wachovian Coalition continues to meet with various diplomats still in Rillanon.
The travelling Shiro students have now arrived on the island of Dannistaan where they are staying at the home of one of the group's family. None of them had realized that this particular group member came from a very wealthy background indeed! Back at the Academy, students continue to register from various nations for the start of term.
In "War of Eternity", the East Malaysian fleet is being aided by the Kandarinese and Mechan fleets in their fight against the West Malaysians. Meanwhile, the Empress, aboard the Eastrovia, is being followed by a West Malaysian ship. They're headed into an area full of temporal distortions in an attempt to reduce the time necessary to reach Malay Prime.
In a related thread, the East Pacific Treaty Organization (EPTO) has held an emergency meeting. The motion currently on the floor is whether or not the EAF should activate, offering the military assistance necessary, and if the EPTO should offer humanitarian aid, led by the Humanitarian Wing under the guidance and direction of Kangarawa.
In "Peacekeepers" it would appear that the accusations hurled at former officials of the Kelssek government were false. It seems that only a couple of business men in Kelssek were involved. Riots have broken out in Dannistaan over the peacekeeping operation, and Kelssek has sent humanitarian aid into Tyrsis Imperium. The Dannistrian troops are still battling insurgents in the north.
And that's it for this week from the East Pacific. As always, feel free to post comments/questions/concerns/etc. and I'll get back to you with an answer or find someone who can. Have a good week! :waves:

March 8th, 2006Greetings once again from the East Pacific, home of alcoholic squirrels :squirrel: and fridge owls! The Stabilizing Force of One Infinite Loop is in the 527 th day of serving the region, and earlier today, the nation count in the East Pacific was 6681. We seem to have temporarily misplaced our new UN Liaison, Noctaurus. He was last seen in mid-February. It's been very quiet on all fronts this week, both on and off forum. What has been extremely interesting to watch in the role-play this week is the way in which three or four of the threads have become intertwined. Telling you about one means I will have told you much of what has happened in the others. The "Shiroettes", as the travelling Shiro students are being referred to OOC, have hit their share of problems. Justin, son of Empress Glendale Jung of East Malaysia, has watched the battle over his homeland in the night sky. He also overheard a news broadcast describing the destruction of the Endeavor, one of EM's flagships, just as he caught a flicker of light in the spot where the ship was to be crashing off the island of Dannistaan. Lacking sleep, he then passed out. The entire group left to go shopping, and unbeknownst to themselves were being observed by a new race of wanderers, some of whom had settled in Dannistaan. As the students reached Nordu Dannistra City to shop, they discovered that the northern end of the city had been hit by a terrorist attack. The suspect - a Tyrsisian insurgent. In "Peacekeepers", in a friendly-fire incident, two Kelsekkians were killed and one critically injured as a Dannistrian flight crew attempted to fire on a Tyrsisian insurgent who had downed one of their planes. Countless citizens of Tyrsis were injured and frightened. Meanwhile, a Tyrsisian posing as a refugee, arrived in Nordu Dannistra City in Dannistaan, and with himself in the car, blew it and a huge number of innocent bystanders to their deaths. The Packilvanians (remember The Borg in Star Trek?) have stepped into "War of Eternity". They have fired on the West Malaysian ships, and their lunar based troops are preparing their assimilation gear. Mind you, just who they are preparing to assimilate has not yet been made entirely clear. Well, that's it for this week from the East Pacific. As always, feel free to post any questions/comments/etc. and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm able to. Have a terrific week! :waves:

March 15th, 2006Greetings from the East Pacific! At present, our delegate, the Stabilizing Force of 1 Infinite Loop has served the region for 534 days, and the EP consists of 6965 nations. Elections for the EP's 3 rd Magisterial Assembly are currently underway. The Assembly, once elected, will then elect from its ranks a new Consul, a position formerly held by Krechzianko. Results should be in by the time I make my next report. The Grand Vizier, Free Pacific States, resigned from his position effective March 11 th for personal reasons. The duties of Grand Vizier include bureaucratic duties such as keeping government files in order, acting as adviser to the delegate, and being next in line for the position of delegate. FPS will, however, continue in his role as RP Administrator. Our new UN liaison, appointed February 7 th, Noctaurus, has now been missing since February 15 th. The 4 th East Pacific Hockey Championships are being held in Xiopothos this year. (Loop's bid came in too late for consideration!) At present, nations are registering their teams, and in some cases, their team line-ups. The Championships will be held between the 14 th and 22 nd of April, possibly later depending on the number of participants. Shiro Academy is still welcoming new students for the academic year, while the ten students travelling prior to the start of term are still in Dannistaan, dealing with the aftermath of a terrorist attack by a Tyrsis Imperium insurgent. Two of the students, one a Dannistrian Neko and the other a Mechan, are helping out by giving medical aid, while a third, training to become a journalist, is learning the true meaning of what her chosen life will be by observing the horrors around her. In "War of Eternity", the battle between East Malaysia and West Malaysia has taken some startling twists. As the Kandarinese, Mechan, East Malaysian and now Pax space ships battle the West Malaysian fleet over East Malaysia, West Malaysian revolutionaries have made an appearance on West Malay Prime. Aided by an East Malaysian operative, they received enough explosives to stage a successful coup against the existing, corrupt West Malaysian government. Calling themselves the People's Republic of West Malaysia and Allied Systems, the attack against East Malaysia has been ordered stopped. Once the Pax entered the fray, there was always the question of whose "side" they were actually on. Pax drones exist throughout FPS as citizens. FPS had made the decision to give military aid to East Malaysia even though theirs was but conventional weaponry, thus making them a target for the West Malaysians. As a result, all citizens were ordered into bomb shelters. When the Defcon was lowered, and the citizens emerged, it was to find that the Pax drones had taken over most of the essential services in the cities, and had plastered signs all over declaring the present government weak, and that only they could protect their brethren. The current president of FPS, Terrus, then made a bold decision, ordering that all drones involved be arrested, thus sending a clear message to Packilvania that it did not own FPS. Interesting move on the part of Packilvania considering that actually has a drone running in the upcoming FPS Presidential Elections. Keep in mind that the drone mind is a hive mind. In "Peacekeepers", Dannistaan's attempts to subdue the insurgents in northern Tyrsis Imperium are still having repercussions. A tape has been given to an FPS reporter by the insurgents and is currently being analyzed by the Dannistrian Intelligence. And that's it for this week from the East Pacific! As always, feel free to post comments/questions/etc., and I will do my best to answer them. 'Til next week. :waves:

March 22nd, 2006
The East Pacific is currently comprised of 6868 nations, and the Stabilizing Force of 1 Infinite Loop has been serving as delegate to the region for 541 days.
Magisterial Elections
To date, eight members of the 3rd Magisterial Assembly have been elected:
Hoar Chall Bolshikstan Kangarawa East Malaysia Xiopothos Jericho and Neblus Kelssek Dannistaan
One poll has yet to be opened. Once all magisters have been elected, they in turn will elect a Magisterial Consul from within the Assembly.
The Embassy of The Lexicon in TEP has been closed.
Our UN Liaison, Noctaurus, has been involved in dealing with issues within his own region, thus explaining his absence from our forums. On a personal note, I wish him well.
Role-Play
With six teams set to go, the EPH4 Championships are ready to get underway. The travelling students from Shiro Academy are still in Dannistaan, ready to visit the nation’s capital. Two of the students were incredibly helpful in humanitarian efforts to help citizens after the bombing by insurgents from Tyrsis Imperium.
Peacekeeping efforts in Tyrsis Imperium are still not running smoothly. A group of anti-Imperialists have rallied to support the peacekeepers against Imperial troops, and the Dannistrians have called in the UK for support.
In the battle for East Malaysia, The West Malaysians decloaked a second fleet of ships, and eliminated the shields over the city of Eastrovia, causing massive destruction. The EPTO has shifted into high gear, sending both military and humanitarian aid.
That’s it until April 3rd. I am away from a computer from March 24 ‘til April 1st, but as always, feel free to post questions/comments/etc. and I will do my best to answer them. Take care. :waves:

Thank you for the update! I find it quite coincidental that you share the same time off as one of the ministers here, Tasmanyaya. Congrats on being elected to the Magisterial Assembly!
