Ok. First off, it's been over a month since I last made an update. No good thing, as I'm sure you lot realise. Why haven't I not made one for so long? Because I'm very forgetful, plus I just haven't made time. I have a very large tendency to get incredibly side-tracked. No good thing, eh? Anyways, down to business... Numbers Europa has now crested 289. Hopefully, after a bit of recruiting today, we'll be into the 290s, but that may just be a bit of hope. But ya never know... Do compare it to the amount of changing in numbers we have done over the last few months, especially to our "Dark Summer", in which we went down to 200. Internal Affairs Fairly hectic. Pirilao, Adaptus, Tamurin, Ide Jima and Rekamgil were elected to the Senate, but Tamurin resigned shortly after due to him only getting one vote in the election. We're going to hold another election for the fifth Senatorial position, but, as yet, only Tamurin is standing for it. Once the final Senator position has been filled, we will be able to get onto our Ministerial appointments by the Senate, from candidates who put themselves forward. Foreign Affairs We've concluded a non-aggression pact with Great Britain and Ireland. We're in the process of sorting out the details of an Alliance between us and the region of Jethnea. We're also in the process of sorting out another Alliance with our long standing friends, the region of Q102. As you can see, I'm finally doing my job as Foreign Minister. Roleplay Well. A lot has gone on. The Dacvi Conflict ground to a halt as it became very confused. The Eclipse of an Empire also ground to a halt, due to my lack of ideas, but I've posted a new post. Ide Jima and that friendly Belgium, Haken, are attempting to start another pan-Europan war over a small island to Haken's east. I've started what must be our first spy thread, Dude, Where's my Tank? For all that, and more, check out our Roleplay SectionWell, until next time!

Owkey. Well, another update, another excuse. Exams, exams, exams. I think those three words are a fairly adequate explanation for the lack of updates, no? Numbers At the moment, we stand at about 280-odd. We’ve been around this number for a good long while, not quite getting back into the heights of 300 we once had. But there are only two Europans recruiting, so that’s probably to blame. Internal Affairs Last time I did this, we were yet to hold that election for Tamurin’s vacant seat on the Senate. It was a good election, with a damn good selection of people going for it, all good people who would have done a good job had they got the position. However, Tamurin was re-elected to his post that he resigned from. The candidates were: Miiros, Deltannia, Vocenae, Nan GorgWaith and Italgria. Oh, and Tamurin, of course. We’ve now got a full senate again, and I re-applied for the Foreign Minister position, and got it again. But, we’re yet to appoint the rest of the Ministers, due to absences and the like. Our current focus of attention in EurGov is the re-establishment of TEA, The Europan Army. Foreign Affairs Busy, busy. We’ve begun talks with Q102 over an alliance, formalising the good relations our regions have had for several years now. We’ve opened up a consulate for the Alliance of Capitalists, Conservatives and Economic Libertarians, as well as the Concosian Union, who are rather anti-Gatesville, who are a member of the ACCEL. Erk. We’ve also had a request for a consulate from Liberalia. And now for one of the more annoying things that have happened in Foreign Affairs over the past few weeks. A region called Eastern Islands approached us, asking for an Alliance. We explained to them that we couldn’t start an alliance straight away, as we need more of a history of relations before we entered into such a thing. They, however, took it as if we were allied with them, and as they considered themselves an invader region, they attempted to involve us in an argument with another region, called New Folsom. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Eastern Islands planned to start a “war” between us and New Folsom, which sort of back fired when we refused and even got on well with New Folsom. It was an episode which did make me quite angry with them. Roleplay Quite a lot has gone on in this section over the past few weeks, including wars and a comet landing with a star gate on it, although that’s a parallel universe. If you are interested, please do check out the section yourselves, as it’d take me ages to write it all out. z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?c=3Until next time!

Numbers At the 290-mark last time I checked. The recruiters from Europa have been doing a good job at keeping the regional numbers up. Internal Affairs Adaptus has been appointed Minister for Defence, in charge of all things military in the region, whilst Fleet Admiral Connor Grey (whose nation is Deltannia) has been appointed General of the Europan Army. We hope to get the TEA back on track after months of stagnation and a series of generals who didn’t perform their job properly. We’re also discussing how to make the inner workings of the region much, much more open to the non-governmental members of the region, to improve interest in all Out-Of-Character and governmental aspects of the region, in which member activity is down a lot. Foreign Affairs Mild activity in this area of Europa. We were asked by the region Stewie Griffland to enter into an alliance with them. We made it clear that we would only enter into an alliance with them once we’ve had a long period of relations, but we also turned down commencing relations with them. This was due to the fact that, although they called themselves “defenders”, they also freely admitted that they would invade a region if they didn’t agree with how it was being run. A region called “The Land of Kings and Emperors” has also contacted us with creating an alliance in mind. Roleplay As always, one of the busiest areas of Europa. There are several small-scale wars happening over various islands in the region, including Tinian Island and Tarragat Island, both of which have the potential to kick-start a pan-Europan RP conflict, what with the complex web of alliances and the refusal of some sides to come to the conference table. Another popular thread is A Gateway to the Stars, in which a Stargate has been found in the region and is spitting out gribbly aliens – all in a parallel universe, so that it doesn’t interfere with any on-going conflicts or politicking. Until next time! Tagmatium, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Numbers We’ve had a sharp decrease in regional numbers. We’re now down to 260-odd, which is a very dramatic decrease. It has lead to me to place a bit of a rant on the RMB: Internal Affairs We had a bit of an invasion scare last week, with one member, called Ravenhelm, equalling endorsements with our long-standing delegate, Orioni2. He strenuously denied any attempt at taking the delegacy, even though a member called Trotskyiana posted on the RMB, calling for an over-thrown of Orioni2. Tamurin, a senator, spotted it just in time, and we were able to take measures, including asking our allies to be on standby for any attack on the region. Our allies, Q102, Jethnea and Belgium all responded admirably. Ravenhelm continued to protest his innocence, but also made an army of UN puppets to take the delegacy for short while before being deleted. Read all about it here: z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showtopic=2844We’ve also announced another round of Senatorial elections, which can be viewed here: z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showforum=132Foreign Affairs Apart from the mad scramble for support linked to the above, we have had a quiet period in Foreign Affairs. Roleplay As usual, the most busy part of our forum. Tarragat has become a frenzy of activity, as has our other on-going war, Tinian. Both are struggles for control over various islands. Tamurin’s interesting and unique RP following applicants to the Tamurinian air force continues. There have been several other major happenings, but there really isn’t enough room for me to go into them here

Numbers Thanks to a huge bit of recruiting by myself, we’re now back up into the 270s, after quite a steep decline in the 250s. I’m still going, so hopefully we’ll be back into the 290s and maybe 300s again. Internal Affairs We have had no major dramas like two weeks ago, where Orioni2 lost the delegacy to an army of puppets. We have had the third Senatorial election this year. The new lot are Rekamgil, Pirilao, Italgria, Vocenae and Mongol-Swedes. The new faces are the last three, and the first two are now old hands. This means we can now get on with our Ministerial elections. Tamurin has already put himself for Minister of Internal Affairs, although he is the only candidate to do so, so far. Presumably, Adaptus will put himself forward for Minister of Defence, but he’s now on holiday in Turkey, after apparently forgetting that he as going. Whoops, almost forgot. We’ve a new system of awards up and running, although this last month didn’t attract much attention, sadly. z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showforum=133Foreign Affairs We have had little to do in the sphere so far this month, although that does by no means excuse my usual lateness in updating. Sorry! Roleplay Both Tarragat and Tinian are still continuing, but interest in Tinian has apparently petered out. Adaptus started a Roleplay about a crisis in his nation, although he remembered he had to go on holiday and so hasn’t really got anywhere with it yet. z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showtopic=2990On my part, on the 6th of August, I went on to a trip to Silchester to take part in the excavation of the Roman town of Celleva Atrebatum which is just outside of the village. Here’s my thread on the subject: z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showtopic=2856It was damn good fun, and I would recommend that, if anyone has a chance to do a similar thing, jump at it! Also, on Thursday 17th of August, all British kids got back their results for A2 Levels, pending upon which we can go to university. I didn’t quite get the grades needed, but I gave my University of choice a ring and they let me in, anyway. So in October, I’m off to university! Woo! Until next time, Tagmatium, Europan Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Numbers Back down to 266, but then no-one has done any recruiting for a long while. Our second arch-recruiter, Pirilao, has returned from holiday and is now once again spreading the word of Europa into the feeder regions, to get our numbers back up.
Internal Affairs After our Senatorial Elections, we have now had our Ministerial Appointments. These work by the candidates putting themselves forward to the Senate and then the Senate deciding who the best candidates for a specific Ministerial post are. The posts are:
Minister of Foreign Affairs – In charge of Europa’s interaction with other regions Minister of Internal Affairs – In charge of the internal happenings, such as making sure there are no attempts to stage a coup against our long-running and popular delegate, Orioni2 and immigration. Minister of Defence – Organising the army of our region, in cooperation with the General of the Europan Army
Only three candidates put themselves forward, me for Foreign Affairs, Tamurin for Internal and Adaptus for Defence. The Senate agreed that we were the best candidates for the job, so we were made Ministers, although Adaptus had been emergency MoD, so he kept it, and I was the previous MoFA, so I kept that.
Foreign Affairs We have been contacted by the region of Genosha, asking if we can make a consulate for them. At the moment, there has been no opposition for the creation of the consulate.
Roleplay The RP about Tarragat Island has finished, and was one of the most fun we’ve had.
There have been several civil war RPs kicking into action, including one about the overthrow of a fascist government and another taking place in a nation that is a tribal confederacy.
