Here's the new update for you, the people of Hyrule! Numbers At my last check, we were well into the 270's. This is the first time ever Europa's reached this sort of number. Hip-hip! Horray! Etc. Well done us. Internal Affairs Well, we've our senatorial candidates become senators. There was too few to hold an election, as if one didn't get in we would only have a tiny senate, defeating the point. This lack of interest in the Senatorial elections has led to the production of a thread on the future of Europa, and how to get the many new members active on the forums. Here it is. (That should work. I'm usually incapable when putting working links into things ) It includes a discussion on how to get more people roleplaying, and catering for new members. Any comments people from this region have will be most welcome on this thread. I invite any of you to post ideas on it. Please! Oh, here's the correct ( ) link to the crazy woman: ...Foreign Affairs We've opened a consulate with Canada, as they have with us. Welcome, Algal States! Roleplay All of the threads of last week are still continuing. Nevareion (of Q102 fame) is in talks Tagmatium, HalKu and Akiiryu over the setting up of nuclear power in Tagmatium and HalKu. I also apologise to Scicronisi, who's name I spelt Sci last time. Oops! Until next time! PS: Please do post any ideas in that thread!

A nice, new update on Europa for the good people of Hyrule! Numbers We have reached, and broken, the 280 mark. As it stands, at the time of me typing this, at 280 nations. Which is nice. Internal Affairs Nominations for the Ministerial positions are under way, although I'm not actually sure when the final elections/appointments take place. Some good updater I am... HalKu, a new nation who said he was an experienced RP'er was exposed as to his real identity, namely one The Chosen Nations who was booted in December. Nice try. We expect him to try again soon, though. Our re-vamping discussion is still going apace. Please check the link to see what is going on, and if you can help. Foreign Affairs Still sorting out who goes where, and removing embassies that are inactive. Both The North Pacific and Greece have been removed. Vanarambaion has volunteered to be the diplomat to GB&I, and other positions have been filled, but there are still some more to go. Roleplay The Deltannian Civil War, Ide Jima's Historical 1932-1956 Long War thread and the Nimarci WMD Conference are still going strong. The HalKu/Tagmatium Nuclear Power thread has more-or-less stopped, due to HalKu being exposed as to who he really is. Nevareion Nova, the Q102 colony in Europa, is having ministerial elections, which, after a slow start, is now witnessing quite a lot of international interest. See it here. We've also had a bit of a re-vamp in the RP section. See it hereas well! Ok, this is Tagmatium, signing off. See ya lot next time!

Again, another busy week, especially in our Role Play section, has meant I haven't been able to make an earlier update for the viewing of those esteemed regions that have me as the representative from the region of Europa. This, combined with a visit to the University of Reading, which as a damned good place, if I may say so, has led to the lack of an update for the past fortnight. Numbers We have fallen below the 280 mark, and are now at 270-odd. This isn't so bad, as it's something to be expected with newer nations having a lack of interest in the game, and older ones being swamped in Real Life. We have had the return of an older member, Kant, which is always good. Internal Affairs Europa’s also completed the final part of its government reform. The candidates for the various ministerial positions have been voted in by the Senate, and they now stand as thus: Paranoid Schizo as Minister for Internal Affairs, Vanarambaion as Minister for Security and myself as Minister for Foreign Affairs. We have also had a visit from an older, but very unwelcome, member. See it here. Foreign Affairs For a Foreign Affairs minister, I’m actually fairly bad, as I can’t remember what the hell we’ve done in the past few weeks. It’s probably just sorting out the last few ambassador positions and the like. Could I also push for an update from this region Roleplay Ok. So this is the section which has demanded the most of my attention, both as a player and as a Moderator, for the past two weeks or so. Mainly Europa is concerned with the fate of a small Europan kingdom/empire of Hidaya Miliki. It’s a very long story, but I’ll attempt to sum it up thusly: Xheng reported genocide in the nation and proposed intervention, whilst Akiiryu and Tagmatium opposed any intervention, for two different reason (Tagmatium’s one was entirely selfish, and concerned with people not finding out about weapons trading). When Xheng invaded, Tagmatium declared war, quickly followed by the majority of the Alliance. This then blossomed into war. View the IC thread here and the OOC thread there. Other happenings have been in our region’s new Newsroom. I’m particularly pleased with my own thread. Well, see you lot soon, and everyone have a good week, especially you British lot who should be having a half term now.

Hey, sorry for the lateness of this update. Things have been getting fairly hectic with all the college work I’ve got at the moment, so I’ve had little time for my own region, let alone the four I’m diplomat to! That’s no slight towards you lot, of course, just I’ve got so much to do, and so little time to do it in. OK, first up, as usual, is an update on the number of nations within Europa as of when I’ve made this update. Numbers Have been at a steady 270-odd for a while, and we have got an increased number of active members on our regional forum, which is always a good thing. Internal Affairs Quite, again. Although we have had two ejections from the region. The first was the Xheng Dynasty, due to his admittance on another region’s board that he was, in fact, deliberately trying to annoy people in Europa to stop a role-play going ahead as he was too busy. Why he couldn’t have asked for a suspension of the RP until a time he was not busy, I don’t know. The second, of a nation called Gehennalemm, who featured the letters “KKK” in his flag. He claimed ignorance of the meaning, saying that it was the initials of an independence movement in his native country of the Philippines. A quick search confirmed this. A bit of a mistake on our part. Foreign Affairs Nothing out of the ordinary, although I have been attempting to get enough ambassadors for our last two embassies, one in Equilism and the Proletariat Coalition. Roleplay Another new look for our boards. We now have separate sub-forums for the different alliances and organisations, and a greatly-expanded Historical section, which now includes a bit on the future of the region. Here’s the link. You can also see the many going’s on in our regional roleplay section by following that link. See you all next time!

Gah, have to use the same excuse for what must be the third time running… Basically college work is taking up a lot of my time, so I haven’t really been able to spare the time for an up date. Plus I’ve been forgetting. Hence, this update is over two weeks late. Sorry about that. And this is coming from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well  Numbers We’ve once again crested the 280-mark, with several nations coming in to the region. I and Pirilao, who is also a Senator, are pressing on with recruitment. More members have promised their help, but this is yet to materialise Internal Affairs Quiet. Too quiet. Nothing has really happened in our Internal Affairs department recently, apart from one of our members, Rhomanoi, has proposed a new UN Resolution, which is still making its way through our region at the moment. It would be a great help if, once it is submitted to the UN, people from this region can take a look at it and help him out. I’m not sure of the procedure in the UN, so I don’t really know what goes on. Here’s the resolution Foreign Affairs Again, nothing out of the ordinary, except that our diplomat to the region of Belgium, Joe Dov, has had to retire from this position due to not having enough time to handle the extra work that this has meant. I, as Foreign Minister, will have to find a replacement soon, unless he is able to return. Roleplay The Hidaya Miliki conflict has ground to a halt, and the Deltannian Civil War has finished. We’ve begun polling for a new map. This is fairly urgent, as it does effect all of the on-going RPs or those about to start. There has also been an outbreak of violence in Ide Jima, as well as several other incidents. Well, that’s all for this week, see you again with a much more regular update this next one!

Ok, here’s the update for the region of Europa, since the middle of March to the beginning of April. Once again, I’m sorry about the lateness of this update. Numbers Well, due to the latest 0 of 0 crisis, we officially don’t have any nations. D’oh! But, last time we did, we had 281 nations. Which is nearly our all-time high, I think. Yay for us! Internal Affairs We’re gearing up for our second round of elections this year. This will mean that it’s the third time a democratic election has taken place in Europa. The 1st of April marks a nine-day period of reminders for the up-coming elections. The 10th marks the beginning of elections, when candidates put themselves forward for the position of Senator. After eight days, the real elections begin. But of course, this is still a long way off. I, Tagmatium, have also been promoted to Admin-in-Training. Soon my reign of terror shall begin, and Europa will tremble before me. Mua-hahahahaha… Oh, you should probably ignore that… Foreign Affairs I, as Minister for Foreign Affairs, have been trying to get more people away from the roleplay boards and into the realms of Foreign Affairs. With little success. I’ve also asked some one to make a more regular regional update, also with little success. We have also been considering opening up relations with the region of Jethnea, where one of our older members, amongst others, now resides. Roleplay I’ve been usurped from my position as an RP Moderator, in favour of Akiiryu. Who will hopefully do a good job. Map discussions continue, but we are now nearing the end of the long and winding road that has been the Map Discussion! Suverina, a new member, has devolved into civil war as some northern provinces rebel in the Dacvi Conflict, which is attracting the interest of all the major powers in Europa. I’ve also started an RP explaining why Tagmatium stopped being a major Europan power until the 2000’s, in the Eclipse of an Empire. I think the title is nice and poetic. Well, that is depending on if Tagmatium hasn’t been destroyed by the 0 of 0 thingy. Well, until next time! Tagmatium, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Thankies Tagiewegie! I really hope no nations get messed up, and can be restored from a backup - at least, that's what happened the last two times.

Thanks for asking, Ness. We were fine after the 0 of 0 thing, but several days later we had a die-of of about 17 nations. D'oh! Numbers After a peak of about 281, we’ve sunk back down to 267. This is because no-one else actually bothers with it, other than myself and Pirilao. I may get criticsm for that, but it’s true. I suspect that there is someone in most regions who knows what I mean Internal Affairs From tomorrow, to the 18th of April, runs the Senate nominations for the third democratically elected Europan Senate. Out of the old Senate, which consisted of Adaptus, Akiiryu, Ide Jima, Pirilao and Tamurin. Of these, only Akiiryu is not standing a second time. We await to see if there are anymore possible Senators to come forward. Although they do have another nine days. Foreign Affairs We’ve opened a Consulate for Jethnea in Europa, and they have opened one for us over their way. Pirilao is our ambassador to them. Other than that, ‘tis been a quiet week. Arrrr! Roleplay Map places coming along nicely. It’ll be completed before long. Voting for the maximum number of plots also has been closed, and it stands at 4. Suverina’s Dacvi Conflict is rolling along, as is my Eclipse of an Empire, although I think I’ve run out of ideas for this one. Until next time! Tagmatium, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Nooooooooooooooooooooo.. I had actually hoped that one was going to last a while know that the whole map thing stands at 85% finished. Btw: Hi everyone. I decided to stop sneaking around, reading all your fancy-shmancy posts, and actually take the courage to actually register at this board. I know I've bookmarked about 50 NS forums by now, but there are always some more that are really worth it. :_dancingtogether:
