Marcus Theafer:
When we catch Al Gedi, I would like to have my men 'talk' to them, especially the leaders. I will aid you in catching these bastards, but in return my men need to be alone with them, unsupervised, before you (presumably) execute them. Remember that I lost people too, Shadow Valley was closer to Bangor than Riefort, and most of Bangor was lost. Also, besides working together on capturing the terrorists responsible for this atrocious act, we will have to cooperate on rebuilding the destroyed sections of the MCCNH.
My condolences to you, your citizens and the families of those lost.
- Emperor Macarono

"Whats our situation Field Marshall?" asked Hess
"Well mein Fuhrer, we still have 5 doomsday B-52's in holding paterns at their final call stations, 20 of our 'Spirit' bombers are armed and ready to take off at a moments notice and our borders are still closed.
"We also have received the photographic imaging from our blackbird recon sorties. Its not good, Bangor has been devastated, as has Shadow Valley. Estimated death tolls are reaching 500,000 combined with close to £50 billion in damage to infrastructure.
"We have also received satelite imaging that shows the missile was launched from just West of Austria. God only knows how, but it seems a missile site we had decomisioned was breached and used. Our allies intelligence say it was launched by a terrorist unit known as Al-Gedi. We have a mechanised division ready to move against this site immediately should you desire to. I suggest we attack now before the victims of this tragedy find out it was one of our old silos the terrorists used." answered Jodl
"Jesus christ Jodl, why didnt you tell me this before? I want that silo obliterated now! and send in one of the old Soviet mobile missile launchers, I want that to be in place instead when people start looking for where this came from. Everyone is going to be too busy giving aid to think about an investigation for the next couple of days, weve got to get this right.
"And send some aid to Macarono as well, I dont care what, just make it look like we are helping out in the community ok?"
"Ja mein Fuhrer!" --------------------------------- 30 Minutes later, West of Austria:
A squadron of A-10 Thunderbolts prepare to attack
"This is Flight 202 leader Schmidt, we are approaching target, we have target lock, requesting weapons free, repeat requesting weapons free."
"This is Field Marshall Jodl, you have weapons free, repeat weapons free."
"Danke, weapons are armed, bombs away!"
8 Paveway smart bombs detatched themselves from the 4 aircraft and fell in alomst perfect unison on the target, lighting up the night sky in a massive fireball. The Al Gedi agents who had remained to celebrate stood no chance.
"This is flight, target destroyed, repeat target destroyed. We are heading home, send in the Panzers, not that I think theyll be needed. Why are we destroying this anyway sir?"
"That is classified and you know it Schmidt, now return to base."
"Very well sir. Wait, sir, we are being attacked, someone out there has a target lock on us! Taking evasive action!"
But it was too late, Schmidt was the first to be hit, swiftly followed by the rest of his squad. The firery wrecks of the A-10's plummeting out of the sky with no survivors.
Then through the carnage flew their attacker, a single F-117 Nighthawk, the first of its kind produced in Robengrad, "It is a shame Jodl, they were some of my best pilots." came the voice over the radio.
"Yes Reichsmarshall, but it was neccesary. And you have gotten to test your new toy as well. Im impressed that after all this time you can still fly those things."
"Just like riding a bike my friend, I will be returning to Eisenstadt now. Remember, we need to get that old SAM site here soon, and some of those Al Gedi prisoners we have, have the Wehrmacht make it look like they were found and killed by them, but it was too late for our interpid pilots. I am returning to base."
OOC - This might sound like a bad episode of 24, but I'm thinking that would be the most logical place for them to have launched, and now I want to distance myself from it......Hope it reads ok.

Emperor Tojo has been taking constant surveillance of the site, to see if there would be any more activity. If there was the slightest bit he would take his bombers, outside of Austrian air space, and destroy it. His satellite pictures astonished him, when he saw Robengrad bombers destroy the site, and then one of their new types of planes destroy them. Finally he got word that they switched the site with an old Soviet one put in its place. He sent this message to Hess:
Attached I have surveillance photos of what happened at the site today, after the attack. It seems as though you destroyed it and replaced it with a soviet SAM devise. I am all for framing the Soviets on this one; however, your actions are curious when you destroyed your own bombers and killed the pilots. I do not know who else was watching the site, so I decided to keep this secret for now to see what else occurs. Emperor Tojo

Air Force Command
After seeing the devestation caused by the unknown fighters through the satellite feeds, General Harver was not amused. "Al Gedi will get revenge for this. They have two more missiles and that's just the ones we know about! Send a message to all nations, warning them of this. If another strike occurs, it will most likely be against a major nation."
Message to all nations
A fighter attack was commisioned at around 0200 hours Clamparapan time. We believe this attack was to destroy Al Gedi but we mut warn you: Al Gedi has two more missiles, likely fueled and armed. I don't care who did this but it was likely that the missiles were moved after the attack to another location. If Al Gedi figures out who did this, they will not only launch a missile at you, they may start a guerilla war against you. I am just warning you. It was a good thing those missiles weren't there or our radiation detectors would be going off the fritz. We need to secure those nukes before we do anymore bombing.
General T. I. Harver

Once the CIA got wind of this they ordered complete surveillance of the entire nation through what ever means needed. Satellites roamed the night sky to see if there were any activities and ten regions look like they could be the ones holding the missiles. Emperor Tojo agreed that overhead spy plane missions were needed from the U-2 now, but only on Marcus Theafer permission he sent this message: To Marcus Theafer: I request permission to fly my spy planes over your nation at ten sites that look like thy may be holding missiles. The satellite's pictures show these are the only ten, but for my intelligence organization to be sure we need better pictures. Please respond as soon as possible. Attached are the locations and satellite pictures of the ten sites. Emperor Tojo

Dear Emperor Tojo
I assure you, we had a FAC that went over the missile site and that went down over it as well. The pilot reported that there were other missiles in the area, three to be exact, that were being transported by trucks. These trucks would have had no way to get to Clamparapa, even if they did get through our security, in the time between now and the first missile launch. We ill check these sites ourselves, however. Please do not enter our airspace.
Highest Regards, General Secretary Marcus Theafer

To All Nations of Hyrule,
We express our deepest condolences of Clamparapa. We assure you that we did not fire that missile. To the nation of Robengrad, we acknowledge your concern-but remember we did agree to stand down on our problems. I assure you all that we will find the Al Gedi, and hunt them down to the farthest reaches of Hyrule. ============================================== West of Austria
The Soviet fleet steamed towards the western half of Austria. The fleet had a 3 carriers with a full fleet of fighters, bombers and XR-71 spy planes ready to search and destroy any Al Gedi establishments. "My Admiral, we are approaching land soon, and our M-1 Abrams and Mongooses are ready." Admiral Kruschev smiled. "Good, I want them to scour the land for these Al Gedi bastards, and spread their blood across our vehicles. Then, I want them to string the skeletons on the tanks... so they will learn never to frame and insult the Fatherland!"

Nakar Kor followed closely behind Lucian. His forces landed near Lucian's tanks. Some of the soldiers expressed disgust at working so near these infidel contraptions, but Nakar Kor quickly silenced these complaints. "Our allies will fight their way," he said, marching in front of his troop columns, "and we will fight ours. Find these Al Gedi scum and make me a cloak from their flesh! Do not hesitate. Show no mercy. Blood for the Gods and death for our enemies!"
The Nakaran warriors cried out in bloodlust, fifty thousand swords to bring the fist of the Gods down on Al Gedi. His warriors spread out swiftly in search of their foes. Some hitched rides with Lucian's troops, while others struck out on foot. There would be nowhere for these filth to hide from the fury of Nakarak. Nakar Kor himself stood beside his friend, Sanar Lucian. "These terrorists cannot stand against us, Sanar Lucian," he said, folding his arms across his chest. "None will be alive by sunset."

"I don't care for the situation." said Hess, "Stargate seem to be trying to blackmail us, while we have a massive Soviet landing of forces West of Austria, when the Wehrmacht is already in the area. We had this covered, they did not need to involve themselves. All it would take is one over-zealous Soviet to make this far worse.
"Have a squadron of A-10's make a fly-over of the Soviet column. Arm them to the teeth, and have 3 more squadrons ready to launch if things go as I fear they might. I want to show the Soviets who the dominant force is in this area of Hyrule. Send in Panzergruppe 15 as well, I want the area well stocked with our forces.
"Coalition or not, I can never trust a Soviet."
"Ja mein Fuhrer." replied Jodl, "Oh and one more thing mein herr, the Doomsday bombers are still at their stations, am I to assume I should inform Reichsmarschal Goering to provide in flight re-fueling?"
"Ja. They are to remain in the air as long as this drags out. Ready 5 more B-52's to replace them in 12 hours. I want to be ready to respond to a nuclear threat as it develops. If another missile is launched at us, we will respond with a strike upon the nation harbouring these terrorists. This time there will be no negotiation...The wrath of The Empire will be rought upon those who challenge it."
Hess sat back, the man who only weeks before had been pushing for nuclear disarmament was now ready to deploy his arsenal at a moments notice.
Above the Fuhrerbunker in Linz the mood was tense, and as more and more troops were deployed in the major cities of the Empire the people knew the final stages of the militarisation of society were close. But still the people knew this was neccesary if National Socialism was to survive this turbulent time in Hyrule.

"Sanar" Lucian looked at Nakar Kor and nodded. "We will do our job here and get the hell out. I do not plan to reside here. Instead, I will soon take residence in Corneria. I only wanted to see my fleet landing." Lucian then looked up at the horizon. "Ah, it seems Robengrad is here to keep a eye on us... wave hello." ====================================== West of Austria-25,000 ft 5 Squadrons of Soviet F-22's flew in perfect unison. Captain Cero Naia commanded his squad with the upmost precision. "Not much we can do here, group. We have to wait for the siege boys to paint some targets."
"I agree, captain", Wraith 2 replied. "Man... with Robengrad, Clamparapa, and whoever else hits the skies... I hope we all know we are here for the same thing, get rid the Al Gedi."
"I'm sure that they all know that, 2," Cero replied. "But vigilance is best be on your guard. Squad DarkSky are you ready?" DarkSky was a B-2 and FB-22 bomber squadron that carried anything from nuclear, chemical, biological, and more recently, modified conventional weapons.
" Sure are, Captain. We have found some targets on ground-3 Al Gedi bunkers."
"Fire at will, DarkSky." 5 Minutes Later....
"Wraith Squad, this is DarkSky. We have hit and are successful. Repeat we are successful."
"Anyone left?"
"Negative."
"Good, DarkSky. Very good. Go ahead and head back to Fleet 1 and fuel up."
"Copy." =================================== 50 M-1 Abrams Soviet tanks drove in single file along a dirty, windswept road. The Mongoose TT-5(4 wheel mobile unit) Squads were already in front of the column, reporting they have had sporadic engagements with the Al Gedi. "General Lar, we have a situation."
"What is it?"
"General, it is a message from General Saren, pertaining to 15 miles west of our location."
"Okay... keep the chatter down on the radio.... we don't know if the wrong people are over our radio. I will talk to Saren soon. We have to push on for the moment."

50 M1-A3 Abrams tanks roared out through the sands to the west of Austria. Along with these tanks, which made up the 62nd armored division, were elements of the 45th Quick Advancement Corp. These 100 or so humvees were in between the tanks, protecting against any infantry that might attack. As the tanks/humvees advanced, each soldier felt uneasy. Suddenly, with screams and shouts, 30 pickup trucks came raging over the dunes. Al Gedi warcries were heard as the trucks sped towards their targets. The humvees opened fire on the trucks but only 13 of the 30 were stopped. The rest of the trucks sped through the hail of gunfire and struck a different tank. The bombs on the trucks erupted into flames and destroyed 17 tanks. The convoy stopped and were delayed by this event. More units wuld need to be rushed up in order to assist in the attack on Al Gedi...

Many warriors escorting the tanks were killed in the explosions, but the rest, injured or not, were thrown into a battle frenzy. Drawing swords, they sped off in the direction the trucks had come from, cleaving the charred corpses of the suicide bombers as they passed. Four hundred warriors, half of which were injured to a lesser or greater extent, charged across the landscape, in search of prey.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, another group of fifty warriors came across an Al Gedi convoy. Twenty or thirty trucks were transporting ammuntion, as well as around seventy terrorists. The warriors descended upon the stunned terrorists, flinging firejelly at the trucks. All but four were disabled or destroyed, with six or seven exploding spectacularly, killing all inside.
At this point the terrorists struck back. Armed with automatic weapons and fearing for their lives, they did their best to hold off the bloodthristy warriors. One went down with a dozen rounds in his chest. A second collapsed with a hole in his skull. Still they did not slow, and when the warriors engaged the terrorists in close combat, the battle became a slaughter.
The warriors were brutally efficient. Eight terrorists escaped in one of the functional trucks. The rest were promptly massacred. The thirty five surviving warriors buried their dead, piling the weapons of their foes at their feet and covering them with dirt, forming a line of seventeen mounds of earth. The living warriors then returned to the corpses of their foes. They decapitated their personal kills, stripping the heads of flesh and tying the skulls on their belts. The rest of the remains were then burned, and prayers were spoken to the Gods to safeguard the souls of the fallen and the lives of those more fortunate. They then set about the task of tracking the last truck. None would escape from the Gods' chosen people.
Post by Porcu on Jun 24, 2007 23:07:42 GMT -5
Field Marshal Messe strode into Il Duce's office at the Kremlin holding in his hands the latest reports from MI6. After the news of the nuclear attack Il Duce had returned to Rome and resumed his day to day rule over Porcu. Events began to transpire quickly as different nations readied themselves for war against Al Gedi and surprising to many in the media the Empire of Porcu still had not geared itself.
MI6 had tracked the movements of the different armies and this was the bulk of the message Messe was to give to Il Duce. Messe knocked and entered and then proceeded to hand Il Duce the report. Il Duce took it and within no time began questioning the Field Marshal.
"Is the Empire prepared to undertake such an endeavor?"
"Yes, Duce...The pride of the Empire, the Marina Fascista, is ready to go at your orders. An Esercito Fascista task force will take longer to prepare, however I can guarantee that it wouldn't be long."
"What do you suggest?"
"Right now, I would have the entire Marina patrol the waters around Clamparapa and Macarono. Permission shouldn't be a problem from Macarono, however we may need to persist a little with Clamparapa..."
"What about ground forces?"
"Ground forces can be deployed quickly and will work well with any of the other belligerent nation's troops, but I believe that enough forces are on the ground and fighting to the west of Austria. I will order the Marina Fascista to cover the coastline and there will not be an inch for the terrorists to go unnoticed. Coastal bombardment may also be needed and I'm sure no other naval force can do a better job than the Marina."
"One last thing Giovanni...I read in a report a few weeks ago that you completed your latest project with the Escercito. What was it exactly?"
"Well Duce, what I proposed to the Fascist Grand Council is an upgrade for our Stridsvagn 103. I also proposed that we increase the number of these and make them our foremost battle tank. They are very reliable weapons and, as you can imagine, battle tested and proven. I can even recall General Lemarque stating during the First Outremer Conflict that the Stridsvagn was a unique and remarkable tank."
"What will be different?"
"We are upgrading the weapons system to include a larger caliber cannon and machine gun. We are also upgrading the armor and engine. Most 103s have already had the renovation and the rest should be finished within 5 weeks time. We have significantly cut down on Leopard 2 production and I am in the middle of negotiations with Robengrad and am hoping that we can cut Leopard 2 production entirely and focus on the Stridsvagn 103s, buying any Leopards we need from Robengrad. I can assure you Duce that the latest and renovated 103s are as capable as any other main battle tank..."
"Good...You may inform the other respective governments and military high commands of our involvement..."
With that Field Marshal Messe saluted Il Duce and proceeded to exit his office before heading towards his own to begin the Empire's involvement...
The column of the M-1 Abrams tanks continued to roll along on the dirt road. The entire column then in simultaneous action rotated their turrets to the left and fired at a Al Gedi position. The Al Gedi returned fire, hitting several Soviet troops walking with the tanks. The column stopped, while the Soviet troops began to engage the Al Gedi. The tanks then fired another salvo, exploding the bunker and spraying the sands with machine gun fire. General Lar then ordered his troops to the position and clear out any resistance left.
He then shouted," Bring the bodies and hit them with flame throwers! I want their skeletons on our tanks to make the Al Gedi regret what they did!"
To All Nations Concerned,
The Empire of Porcu wishes to announce its official and formal involvement against the terrorist group known as "Al Gedi". While Il Duce will be the person to talk do about diplomatic affairs I will be in charge of the Empire's military matters. Thus, I ask you now...How may Porcu be of assistance?
