UKFA Press Releases - Secondary Group Stage, Match 6 of 6 A Report from Costanzia's FACJV AdvancesIn the final two matches of this round, the Costanzian Football squad looked nearly unbeatable. Both the games looked to be exceedingly difficult for Costanzia as both their opponents had a lot on the line coming in to these matchups. First was the game against Postboxes FC. In order to stay alive and in contention for advancement to the next group they needed a win over group leader Costanzia. However, Postboxes hasn't had the form that carried them to so much success a year ago, and they were no match for Costanzia. "It almost wasn't fair, honestly," stated Zizou after the game. His team netted two quick goals in the first half. He then decided to reign in his team, for fear of embarrassing his friend at the helm the of fellow UKFA Top 10 team. "It was out of respect really." With advancement locked up, now CJV had its eyes on winning out the group to get a favorable draw for the next round. Second place Cowardly Wanderers were waiting for them, as the two teams looked to lock horns in a grueling match. It was just two weeks ago that these two teams clashed and the match ended on a tie after Sacamano scored on a controversial penalty kick. The embattled ref, Marco Scutaro, got a vote of confidence from UKFA officials and was slated to again ref this match. Seeking revenge, Cowardly Wanderers were far from it, as Costanzia looked to drive home the point that they didn't need to pay off officials and that they are simply a superior squad. With a 4-0 drumming of CW, the Jonnies easily showed they are the better team. Zidane was not as kind to CW as he was to Postboxes, as he encouraged his players to score as many goals as possible to try and embarrass the other squad, after they tried to discredit his. Zidane publicly, and proudly, admitted to this, and the CFA immediately looked to take punitive actions against Zidane for unsportsmanlike behavior, with a fine of 20,000 poisoned envelopes. CFA officials hope that no further injunctions will be served from the UKFA. It should be noted that ZĂ©nadine Zidane is the most fined individual to date in both the CFA and UKFA. Fines aside, Jon Voight Nation is looking forward to their next match, in the Cup Quarterfinals against Posulian Puffins, a team that had defeated Costanzia last summer in a friendly. UKFA HQ

UKFA Press Releases - UKFA Cup Quarter Finals, Preliminary A Report from AFC DMCD's FAAFC DMCD roared up for derbyShawdom stadium ready for one of the biggest matches in its historyShawdom stadium is sold out for a game which looks set to explode with passion and excitement but police have warned that bad behaviour will be met harshly and swiftly. The local rivals have never met each other before and many expect a classic match. One supporter we spoke to said "this is going to be one of the greats, the UKFA will not have seen a game like this before, lets hope its a good one and a clean one". DMCD fans however have been slightly angered that only 800 tickets where allocated to them. "we are not trouble makers, we simply want to watch our team and have fun" said one dissapointed DMCD supporter who missed out on tickets. Shawdom police have however responded by saying that this is purely a preventative measure aimed at stopping the possibility of crowd trouble. They have also warned fans without tickets to stay away. Patrick Oshea looks set to announce a slightly changed squad from the one that lost to Atletico Mittsville in the group stages. Academy graduate Michael Johnson looks set to replace suspended Michael Appleby and Paul Douglas looks set to return after 3 months out injured. Commenting on the derby he had this to say "What a game this will be, I would like us to simply go out there and play some good quality football. We have the quality and we have the belief, I just hope we bring it with us on the day" I for one am looking forward to what promises to be a great game. An official press release from Shawdom International's FADoctor ready to perscribe DMCD with a derby they will want to forgetThe doctors harsh comments and Patrick O'Shea once linked with his job this derby is bound to be a historic clash. Shawdom fans are already getting ready for this big match. The doctor was within 24 hours of loosing his job success here will comfirm that his job will be safe. He said today "We have proved we can beat the big teams like racing this will not be easy but it is a tie I wont be complaining about. This is a winnable tie with the injurys and Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) Playing out of his skin we are bound to be victorius" DMCD fans are reminded anyone traveling to Shawdom must show their ticket to get onto the plane and assist the police by respecting the No Drinking policy in Bramhall city centre and in all pubs. Fans will not be allowed in certain roads due to the possability for home and away fans clashing thankyou Shawdom *** RUMOUR MILL I would like to confirm that we did approach DMCD if we could have talks with the manager Patrick O'Shea as at the time there was alot of trouble and the Dr had threatend to resign. Obviously Patrick is a very ambitious manager and we wanted to talk to him The DMCD board said no and we left it at that. I think we have made the right decision. The two teams meet in the quarter final and it looks to be a massive game. Both teams looking good maybe shawdom look the better side but who will come out on top in a local derby. Fans are out in force and police are on high alert as shawdom fans do have abit of a reputation. but Adam Le Fondre the Shawdom Wonder Kid who has had a few teams interested in him will want to score being a Shawdom lad through and through This is a must see game An official press release from Atletico Mittsville's FAMittsville qualify for quarter finalsMittsville International NewsThere was celebration on the streets of Mittsville last week as the national team pulled off a momentous win that, with other results also going Mittsville's way, secured a place for the team in the knockout stages of the competition. One goal against group leaders AFC DMDC, by striker Ben Carlson, was enough to give Atletico the win and bring them to 9 points from 6 games. Mittsville's manager, Andy Gordon was quick to criticise this record after the game. "We are extremely lucky to qualify for the last 8 of the competition, because we should not have lost three games. We are a better team than that, so hopefully we can improve and keep up our winning run". Andy Gordon has rights to be worried for the teams chances. Out of the 8 teams, they received the lowest points total in the group stages, and their nine points in the second group would not be enough to continue in any of the other groups. They also lost three games in a row in their group butting the team bottom at the halfway stage. However, Atletico do have that "bouncebackability" and pulled it out of the bag to win their final three matches to come second in the group on the tense final day of the season. The next round pits Mittsville against former league champions Betelgeuse XII over two legs, where Mittsville will need to play at their best to continue i the competition. An official press release from Brightonburg's FA" Hello this is Capt. Erica Stone IBNN news, with the news flash Press release from Coach Jeorg Miller-White! "Greetings ladies and gentelmen of the international press corps, I shall be brief, we have won a very important game Brightonburg United 3-0 Eintracht Kiermark ,Eintracht Kiermark is Important rival back home in our home soccer league, so it is important to get a win against them, they beat us on the home league a few times so it is important to get wins anywhere we can. UKFA Press Releases - UKFA Cup Quarter Finals A Report from Costanzia's FAEasy. Breezy. Beautiful. That is a very good description of how Costanzia looked in the latest round of play in the UKFA Cup. After a prolonged hiatus, presumably so teams could garner some rest during this grueling event, Costanzia came back and easily dispatched their first Knockout stage opponent Posulian Puffins. Both teams had high aspirations coming in, and Posulian had bested the Jon Voights once before in friendly competition. The first match was close, and CJV was only able to seal the deal with their second goal of the match with a late header by midget midfielder Mickey Abbot, who notched his second goal of the tournament and has been a real surprise as of late. Zizou has been incredibly happy with his play of late, as the team appears to have righted the ship on their quest for the Championship. The second match was not even close however. The Puffins played hard, however Captain DaVola was stellar in the goal. Bob Sacamano, the teams leading scorer, and one of the leagues premier players, almost had himself a hat trick in the closing minutes of the game, yet his flashy bicycle kick sailed just wide of the net. The move was booed quite loudly by Puffins fans as they feel as though Sacamano was trying to rub it in. While there are no league rules against running up a score, it is widely considered an "unwritten rule" not to embarrass the opponents by piling up the score...not on purpose at least. Sacamano has also been letting his ego get the best of him lately. After receiving recognition at the end of the last season as one of the games top strikers, Bob has been acting a lot differently. He's been more showy and flashy on the field, trying to go more for highlight reel plays than actually winning games. He has also been accused of not giving 100% at times when it looks as if a game has gotten out of reach. There are also rumors floating around that Sacamano is unhappy with his current salary and may consider holding out for more before the start of the next season for the Premiership. While he has publicly denied such things, managers and chairmen from across the league must have been salivating at the prospect of stealing the best player away from one of the top teams in the league. However it seems as though the newest "prima donna" of the league might come with more headaches than most teams would want. Regardless of any perceived off the field problems though for Costanzia, they are rolling on the field and look forward to their next match, the first leg of two against AFC DMCD in the semi finals. A Report from AFC DMCD's FAAFC DMCD 2-0 Shawdom International(AFC DMCD 4-3 Shawdom International after second leg on aggregate) OSHEA IS JUMPING FOR JOY!!! Patrick Oshea was thrilled this weekend as he saw his team reach the UKFA Cup Semi Finals. A stirling performance which saw AFC DMCD come back from 3-2 down on agrregate was topped off by very well behaved crowds partying the night away. The magic started when a brilliant long range shot by Taros Marinas whistled into the back of the net leaving the Shawdom keeper helpless. This brought the match to 3-3 on aggregate and caused the crowd to lift the roof with noise. Shawdom supporters where also in fine voice as there them pushed to get the away goal that would put them through to the next round. They did infact come very close and forced a brilliant save from Jack McGlen in goal making many DMCD fans have there hearts in their mouths. The victory was sealed late on however when a brilliant set peice from Luke Newton was flicked onto the chest of Stephen Stirk who then vollied a fabulous goal into the back of the net. This sealing the win and putting DMCD through to the next round. Manager Patrick Oshea said after the match "This was one of the classics, both teams played brilliant and Shawdom where very unlucky not to get something. I think our defence was sound and our supporters where the 12th man. Hats off to the Shawdom support though who where in fine voice and very well behaved, they are a credit to there team. I now look forward to the Semi Final and lets hope we can keep up the good work. We still have a hard road ahead." AFC DMCD will now go on to play Constanzia in the next round in what many feel will be the toughest test yet. Patrick Oshea added this " Constanzia are a very very good team who I have the uptmost respect for. We will continue to work hard and take each game as it comes. It will be a fabulous game and I look forward to playing them in what promises to be a very big challenge."
The Kits are the first to feature new sponsors BoyleSports and have met with approval for their good design Rain and gloomy skies did not deter the hundreds of DMCD fans who flocked to the Priestfield Stadium to get their hands on the new DMCD 3rd strip and Goalkeepers kit. The queue stretching back as far as the eye could see was enough to convince the first keen punters at the front of the line that they were right to have been waiting there since yesterday morning. At the front of the queue was 15-year-old Gareth Downes from Shiney Row, a season ticket holder in the South West stand who had been waiting outside the stadium since 11am. Gareth, later joined by dad Steve, 43, said: "I'm not that bothered about the rain, if you're a DMCD fan you'll wait in all weather. Friend Ryan Moran, 15, said: "We'll camp out if we have to. We were getting a bit bored earlier on so we bought a little football from the shop before it closed and we've been kicking that about." The rain continued to pour as queues for the barbecue and refreshment stalls almost rivalled those for the strips, and the bad weather didn't keep children off the bouncy castle and out-door games. The chairman Paul Mac made a rousing speech an hour before countdown, telling the fans that the strip launch was their celebration for DMCDs promotion rather than a "show off" parade around the city. "This is your party guys, enjoy it, it will go on long into the night" UKFA HQ

UKFA Press Releases - UKFA Cup Semi Finals, Leg 1 of 2 A Report from Cowardly Wanderers' FACowardly Wanderers 3-2 Racing Club de Betelgeuse XIICowards all over the nation were up in arms to support their team as the newly-promoted league one side earned a surprise victory over Premier League runners-up Racing Club. Manager Sashov, most likely under the influence, had this to say: "I'm so proud of my boys. I love 'em. I love 'em so much. They're my best mates an' I love 'em..." He then proceded to hug his director of football before leaving the room, pinching a female police officer in an inappropriate way as he left. The game was, perhaps, as gripping as the press conference, with most Cowards interviewed outside the stadium saying they would be happy with a draw... Their fears appeared confirmed in the 12th minute, when Racing's stars simply overpowered the Cowards who, despite their defensive formation, were caught by a lovely through-ball that set up a magnificent strike to beat the keeper. Racing's second came just 5 minutes before half time, with a defensive error by Sukov allowed the ball to roll to a que of Racing strikers, the goal being scored from the rebound after a superb save by the captain Ivanov. The Cowards' first came 4 minutes later, perhaps unsurprisingly from a free kick. Sashov decided to pack the Roacing box with bodies, an the low, in-swinging free kick from Witheringspoon was prodded home by Kirov, who has been in fine form recently. After the break, the Cowards seemed to find a second wind and, helped by the introduction of the excellent Gregor Fukov, soon got back on level terms, the right winger providing a tricky cross that somehow swerved into the net. There will surely be calls for him to start more games next season... The winner came in the 88th minute, with the Cowards widing out a period of sustained pressure to hit the former Premier League champions on the break, the sheer pace of Kiki Nosov taking him clear of his pursuers before a neat pass set up Kirov for his second. Although this was a great result for the Cowards, they conceded two away goals, and so travel to Betelgeuse XII knowing they need at least a draw to secure a monumental Final place. UKFA HQ
