Jeez Krits, take it easy. I was serious.
In fact, I think my distaste for mods locking threads on a whim is about equal to my distaste for word filters.

Last time I checked I am a Mod on these forums, a position granted to me when I was elected MoIA and MoR. I also believe I am charged with keeping the peace as MoIA which is what I will do when this sort of situation flares up. So far, despite my better judgement, I have not locked any threads that have gone wildley off topic in these forums. Personally I despise word filters as much as J.C. I am a big proponent of free speech and only use them when I feel like a laugh, however I cannot stand threadjacking or spam.
So heres the deal, anymore joke posts here and this thread gets locked, any more concerns anishinabe PM me and I promise to look into them. The same goes in the areas I specifically mod, but I will make a new post about that in the morning.
Play nice people.

Rob, I'm asking Ness for a response regarding the implementation of word filters on the word "rape" after I'd initially posted it in this thread.
Once she feels ready to ready to reply as to why she felt the need to implement such a filter at that point, feel more than free to close the thread. I believe Ness said it should remain open until I requested that it be closed.
I'm just looking for answers, the same way every member of this forum should be. Believe it or not, it was never my intent to turn this into a circus. Just a few people seemed to want to do that, and thanks to both you and Krits for pointing out that there's a time for hijacking a thread, and a time not to do so.

I think the Steelers will rebound from last weekend's loss to the Jaguars and come out on top against their newfound rivals, the Bengals. If anyone else has any thoughts on this important matter, now would be the time to post about it.
what?

You implied that you wanted that word to be on the swear filter in the first post you made, so I added it. It has been removed now, if you want to know.

why wasn't deletion of the phrase: "rape or be raped?" deleted as Tas asked when first arriving on these forums? ROFL! Interesting reply, Ness. Tas asked that question when she first arrived on the forums. No filters were imposed then, although Tas did ask that the person who had made the posts be spoken to about them. At that time, nothing was done, other than a post, in the thread, 3 or 4 days later, saying something to the effect of, "Don't post that way again", lol. It was a game thread, Ness. Who reads back six or seven posts? And if you truly believed that I was now asking a word filter be imposed in a region I know doesn't ever use them, surely my subsequent posts would have indicated otherwise. I kept asking about those edits, and you most certainly were reading the thread, but declined to reply. And why remove the filters now? My asking would have no effect, so it can only be that others posted very clearly in the thread how much they disliked word filters. And you, Ness, will always do the popular thing.Rob, I'd ask that you close the thread on Sept. 26. I wish you luck in dealing with JC who again tried to turn this into a joke thread by hijacking it, despite having been warned by you, Krits and Ness. But then JC is a defender of Ness, so my guess would be that he'll get away with it. Only those who disagree with Ness tend to have difficulties when trying to get straight answers, or doing simple things like having an Embassy opened the first time it is applied for. Which is really too bad. Ness, you've always been one of my favourite people. I sometimes forget how young you really are.
