Im starting to think that as a region we are all a bit too close to one another on the map. All us RPers are the only ones to use it and we all seem to want to be slap bang in the middle.
Is there anyone else here who thinks we should do something about this? If we were all a little further apart then maybe things like trade etc. would become more prevalent in the RP. Also by splitting people up we create chance for expansion, and if necesary a war that doesnt just happen by invading the nation next to you. If you see what i mean.
Does this make sense?

Well, I don't really think there is anwhere to really go. Unless we somehow make another map or something...

I agree rob. In fact, I had sent a PM to Macarono about this lol...Spreading people out will definitaly make more things more prevelent in the RP like trade. I think there needs to be more "Continents" in the map. If we make several islands that could house about 4 nations total (like 12 plots) then it ll cause everyone to be spread out, and there will be less land locked "Crap" area that will cause everyone to be fighting over the same area...
I think we should make a new map...itl get rid of all of the clutter and all of the updates and things.
I also think that we should put resources on the map, that way people cant say they have this and that, it forces them to trade and interact with others...

I meant a second map. One that would ALSO be used as well as the old map.

I feel like a new map altogether.

i agree but what happens when say like an island becomes completely full, meaning that nations cant extend their land on the island.

Why is, it that I have to be the one that disagrees? -shrugs- Someone always does.
I feel that we should keep the current map. In-my-opinion, just because something has a few issues, does not mean it has to be trashed. Just because nations are on top of each other does not really require a new map; nothing is ever perfect.
Their are other way in making space, like removing inactive nations that are no longer in NS, or adding another part to the map; that is basically showing another part of the region. Something like that at least.

Good idea. Maybe we could open up the south a bit...

we could add to the south...that may work. I still like the idea of a new map though. When someone has taken up an entire island...they will have to seek land elsewhere. I guess its almost imperialism in a way, but it will work. Its not like people claim plots to expand everyweek. It takes time to gain a billion people in your NS population. I also think that people could RP war over their own plots. If you lose a plot, you could request one elsewhere, but that would allow for people to RP territorial changes and things like that. People could sell plots ect. ect. ect.

I don't really want to change my plots though. I like the shape of my nation...

Me too! But, I dont care if the shape changes, just as long as the cities are in the same general place and it's the same general, curvy-rectangular shape

My nation, at this time, is still really small and insignificant compared to many others. I did, however, choose a spot on the map where I would have a lot of room to grow because I noticed that it was going to be a problem down the road. If you can't get rid of certain people who don't take part of NS anymore, then I would say trash the map and start from scratch.
