The Embassy Report
-Volume 1-
The source for news from FA
Welcome to the first edition of the embassy report.
Brian Jacobs of the E.P.o.Steenia reporting.
Elections are finalized!
Yes, FA has just finished it's first official democratic election cycle, the original positions being filled through postings and picked by the Founder. Up for election were the five Judge positions, the first FA Historian and the Diplomat.
Just a few days before the Aoin Guard got together an elected their general, who chose her sub-lieutenant.
Following is a list of the new Governmental Officers in these positions. Let us give them a hearty welcome to the FA Governmental family!
The General of the Guards- Karakarim (taking away 7 of the 9 votes cast)
The Lieutenant of the Guards-Xiuhtecuhtle (chose by the General)
The Judges:
Yayon (8 For, 3 Against)
Gryphon-Dragon-Sphinx (11 For, 0 Against)
Yogurt Drips (10 For, 0 Against)
Decentralisation (7 For, 5 Against)
Sbabek (14 For, 0 Against)
The Diplomat- Penguin Dictators (15 For, 0 Against)
FA Historian- Xiuhtecuhtle (12 For, 0 Against)
We wish the outgoing judges and diplomat the best and have given them lovely watches that tells the time in 25 different regions.
UN Matters:
We have a FA region putting together a UN proposal. Pontinia is trying to get the wording together for a Proposal titled: Universal Laws of Conduct, a Human Rights issue. He is currently being helped with wording by many of the fine nations of FA and we hope to see this report hit the UN soon.
Also in UN news, the last UN Proposal (Freedom of Conscience) was approved by FA nations by a vote of 6-0. We hope to see better turnout in future debates.
The resurfacing of an old friend:
For those who have not been made aware, the region of Dun Eideann has lost its Founder, finally freeing it from the slow death it was experiencing. With the old Founder gone, many of the alumni of this once mighty region have come baack to help her grow strong again.
We show confidence in the ability of the Delegate Richard2008 to make this work, and a government is being formed at this moment.
FA's own NewService:
We have the staff of The Palantir conducting interviews for several upcoming articles soon, and look forward to seeing what they report. When such reports become available we will link them here for your viewing pleasure.
Alliances in the works:
We are currently in discussion with the ASE about a possible alliance. Currently the wording of the agreement is being scrutinized, but in the words of Roger Steenia: "We are sure that these minor issues, being merely ones of wording, shall be quickly resolved. The ASE are good people and we look forward to working with them.
We have also entered the Genoshan Accord to offer military assistance to Dun Eideann if the need should arise.
And Lastly:
The Art Fair is showing minor successes with a few new members recently joing and one of them posting some lovely oil paintings under the name of VanGogh. Advertising through the Pacifics continue anmd people are encouraged to take the time to come and look, or even post some of theire own works.
Also only two regions have taken the opportunity to post links to their regions within it.
