My nation has been decreed a "Compulsory Consumerist State." This is probably because my citizens have few political freedoms, the economy is robust and civil rights are good. However, I don't quite understand how this is compulsory consumerist. From what I understand, this type of government lets you do anything, as long as it doesn't interfere with the established government. Do drugs, be poor, be rich, whatever. Your opinion?

Uh... yes, I realize what "compulsory consumerist" means. What I fail to understand is how a nation that has lots of civil rights is considered to force "consumers."

The people are not "forced." The gubbermint creates an economic environment whereby the peeps want to buy stuff. They think they have freewill. But in reality they are compelled to spend their hard-earned dinero. Such is the glory of the compulsory consumerist state.
