Nintendo and Sony generaly do different kinds of games and which one you get depends on the kind of gamer you are. I'm going to get a PSP because it will play music CDs and most of my favorite RPGs.

I played my friends DS the other day, and I think it is shaping up to be Awesome. The only thing I dont like on the DS is the D pad, it hurts your hands after a while, but controlling with the stylus isn't completely unatural, just takes a while to perfect.

To tell you the truth the PSP d pad really hurts your thumb (I played in shop) you need to put a lot of force just to push it down.

I have both of them, and both are good so far. The games I have played are very fun.
However, I like the DS better. More games, more comfortable, and less expensive.

At the moment on the DS, only Mario DS. Metroid prime hunters will be good when it comes out, I have played the demo, they need to tweak the controls though, make it so that it is a button to jump, coz quite often when you want to turn you end up jumping instead and maybe a button for morph ball, so you dont have to stop momentarily before moving on.
