It is with sincere regret that I feel compelled to hand in my resignation as Minister of Immigration, and to move Tasmanyaya from Hyrule.
For two months now, I have watched the forums change. I first moved a puppet here because as an Ambassador from another region, I loved the atmosphere, and the fact that I was made to feel welcome. As an Ambassador, I will still be in and out of Hyrule, but only to make reports and play on the Interactive Fun Dodecahedron.
Despite AN and JC's assertions that everyone should be allowed freedom of speech, etc., some things go beyond the pale. I have automatically accorded each and every individual in Hyrule respect. I do not believe that I have done anything that should have caused me to become an object of disrespect, but that, unfortunately is the way I feel.
In the Court proceedings, Krits posted that in the mediations between AN and WP, Tasmy (a name that only AN refers to me by) "only tried to moderate". Anyone who can read English understands what is meant by that inference, and Krits is extremely intelligent. This is the response I sent him by PM, because unlike some of you, I do feel the need to fight on the forums themselves. However, since I will not be here, I think it only right that all of you, see this. JC, I would not want you to think that something was going on behind closed doors.
"Krits,
You wrote:
"Oh, well, no offence to anyone, by trying I just meant that you tried to do your best (and I'm sure you did), but to AN it felt like you were against him, and thus didn't really help him and made him feel more picked on."
Unfortunately, that is not what you said in your first post. Your first post quite clearly stated that "Tasmy was only trying to moderate...". The implication, Krits, as you are well aware, is that I was not doing my job. Had I not posed my next question, you would not have had the opportunity to try and cover up your intent. You are extremely intelligent. You knew exactly what you were writing, and how it would be interpreted by anyone else reading it. What you wrote amounts to libel.
I am probably the eldest person on the forum. FYI, in RL, one of the things I am qualified to do, and get paid for, is to act as a professional mediator. I am both well paid for it and in high demand because of my reputation. My reputation does not include "only trying". Person-to-person or group-to-group mediation is much different than trying to conduct the same over MSN, particularly when one of the parties refuses to abide by the ground rules set.
Throughout the mediation, not moderation as you referred to it, AN was trying to talk to me privately on MSN. As you should be well aware, something like that is reprehensible, and, if as you have stated, you have read the transcripts, then you are also aware that I kept posting what he tried to say to me privately in the mediation thread.
I was a neutral party. AN had explained his position. WP had explained his. When I set out the ground rules, AN was the first to break them, and continuously did so throughout the session. He continued to type regardless of whether or not I was attempting to say something or WP was. As for WP being indifferent, I would strongly suggest that you go back and reread the transcripts that you should not have a copy of. WP was anything BUT indifferent. He was, however trying to keep his temper. This was something even I was having difficulty with, and I like AN. English was not a factor. Courtesy was. And having a brother who travels to Portugal regularly on business, courtesy comes naturally to the Portuguese.
I will not yet send a copy of this PM to Gnid, but I am awaiting a response from you.
Tas"
The ruling today by SM has left me both shocked and confused. One judge rules, the Chancellor agrees, everyone and his brother jump in knowing nothing about what has led to the present situation other than what AN has told them, and a free for all ensues.
It has been an honour to serve as Minister. It has been a privilege to bring the region of Hyrule from slightly over 320 nations when I took office to over 400 nations now.
Do each other the courtesy of respecting those you elected to office. You have no idea of the hours Gnidrah or Ness put into Hyrule. Instead, some of you, like AN and JC, openly insult Gnidrah. Be nice to one another, or else volunteer to do the job yourselves.
