Ultimately, the allied forces of Nakarak, Canton Rouge, and Clamparapa had been able to defeat the forces of the Pacific States Coalition. Unfortunately, this had come at a high cost as the PSC had been able to maintain an early advantage over Nakarak, and if such a thing were ever to happen again to the country, they would need a way to counter such an entity again.
Therefore, the proposal had come from the Canton Rouge Army to host a simulated war game with Nakarak to better prepare them for any future wars against a modernized army. It was hoped that they would accept this offer, as what better way to be trained than by an army who had faced the Pacific States twice and won.
After much consideration, and allowing time for normalcy to return to the region, President Voorjent and head of the 1st Army General Leuster sent out a message to the Nakaran Danakar...
To the Nakaran Danakar,
As you are well aware of, our armies have stood the invasion of the Pacific States together and emerged victorious. But as the future wears on, Nakarak could face potential greater threats from armies that may have more force and atrocity than the PSC.
To better prepare Nakarak, we wish to have a long standing tradition between our armies, something called the War Game. Our hope is that should you choose to accept this offer, our armies will face each other in mock combat, where both of our armies will better benefit from each others tactics.
President Jacques Voorjent United Provinces of Canton Rouge
General Leuster Canton Rouge 1st Army

General Leuster,
Danakar Kric has been placed on temporary leave for insubordination. From now on, direct all of your inquiries to me personally. It is I who rule Nakarak now.
As for the war games, we would be more than happy to train with you in these war games. We believe that an ideal location would be the Tangle. It is an expanse of untamed jungle and wilderness in western Nakarak, unpopulated and with terrain typical of our home. Any opinions you can offer will be welcome.
Nakar Tan Leader of the Kingdom of Nakarak

OOC: This is all played out after the Gamna outbreak and clearing up.
The general only needed to hear the words of confirmation from the new Nakar to know that it would be on. He had already formulated a plan of how the war games would play out on the helicopter ride to the CRSS Valkyrie, a transport ship that would provide the seaboat that would sail him into the capital, and from there, to Nakar Van.
As soon as the helo landed, the general removed the helm to show better the true face of Canton Rouge's premier general. Only 44, he had seen the worst of the 2052 and 2075 wars against the Pacific States Coalition, and the Gamna outbreak, and still kept his cool. It didnt matter to him as he boarded the sampan attached to the vessel as it made its way over to the island.
As soon as the vessel made landfall, the general started to make his way through the city to the Palace, where Nakar Van would be eagerly awaiting the general. he therefore wasted no time in hurrying through the city, which once again, was full of all classes of Nakarans, now returning to life as normal.
Once arriving at the palace, he identified himself to the guards, who led him to Nakar Van, and after thanking the guards, turned to the young ruler, and said, "So, you must be Nakar Van. Pleasure to meet you. I am General Morgan Leuster, head of the Canton Rouge 1st Army, here to discuss the war games with you."
"First off, your suggested location would suit perfect for us. With no civilians, collateral damage will not be a problem. But continuing on, my proposal is to split it up into two phases. Phase I would have your army on the offensive, while we would repel your attack to our ability. Phase II would switch roles, where we attack and you defend."
"Before we go further, one matter must be brought up. Since this is a mock battle, I trust your warriors will have non-lethal weaponry of say, wooden swords or something like that? Because I don't want to have to return to Paris with thousands of cut up body parts. From our army, we will be using paint rounds, which do not hurt, but rather leave colored marks, humiliating the soldier in that he did not do his duty by staying alive. And one more thing, to avoid major destruction of the land, we are only sending infantry to the Tangle. This is what I have, what are your suggestions, honorable Nakar Van?"

Nakar Tan, despite his youth and extreme shortness compared to the towering Nakar Kor, had all of the presence of the former Nakar. He saluted the general with one knee on the ground, with a hand over his heart and the other in a fist on the ground. The traditional salute of the Duna class, it marked him as different than the previous Nakar, a leader who had lived all his life as a servant to the greater good.
He listened to General Leuster's input, and said, "We have rounded blades made from the bones of the great wolves that roam the Nakaran jungles, although you can expect more than a few taunts from the warriors. Such blades are used mostly by infants, barely out of the creche. When Nakaran warriors fight, they fight with bare blade, and if you die, then you meet your destiny that much sooner. But don't worry, I'll handle that."
"Just be sure that your warriors have some real weapons. the Nakaran wilderness is not a place to go unarmed. One of my crechemates was killed by a snare vine, and two others by wolves. Trust nothing in the jungles. If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't, kill it anyway, just to be sure."
"The general details will be arranged by the Dumakar. If there is anything else you wish to add, I'll pass it along to them. We can commence in two days, if I bypass the beauracracy. It amazes me how much red tape there can be in a society with an absolute ruler. I will show you to your quarters, and I can show you the sights, if you desire. I won't be able to cut through all the tape, so we might as well put the time to good use."

"Yes, that will do. My men will keep their pistols with live fire, but only to engage any hostile fauna. They will not fire on your men with live ammo. If they do, they will answer to a harsh tribunal court, with swift and brutal punishment. These men are disciplined and will know better than to defy a direct order."
"Meanwhile, while we tour the sights, my men will bivouack out in the plains, so as to not disturb the populace. I know very well how you prefer to keep things calm and peaceful, and that we shall respect."
"One more thing before we set out, that I hope we can discuss while we tour the region. If this goes off well, we may be able to make this an annual thing, alternating locations between your Tangle, and our wooded Alpine Training Center up in the hinterlands of Scandanavia. This is up to you of course. So, anything else that you wish to discuss could probably be summed up while we tour, for it would be nice to get out of this place on a nice day."

Nakar Tan nods at General Leuster's suggestion, adding, "We could also do one years in the Labyrinth of Tarsa Dan, a winding maze of tunnels deep beneath Nakarana Mountain. The Labyrinth is where the civilians hid during the PSC invasion, and is designed to delay attackers long enough for our people to escape, should we be defeated. I am certain that we could find other suitable locations, given time. The idea has merit, but we will see how this exercise goes first."
"But now, let me show you the wonders of Nakarak." First, Leuster was taken to his quarters in a small building near the palace, a room built around a flowering myrshr tree, the fragrance of which is a relaxing agent similar to lavender, while also heightening perceptions and mental acuity. Nakar Tan explained, "This tree was grown here as a sign of good faith to those coming to speak to the Nakar, and as a way to take the edge off of hot tempers. It showed that he had nothing to hide from those he dealt with."
After dropping of the general's belongings, Nakar Tan escorted him on a short journey by foot along a well traveled path down the mountain. After an hour or two, they came upon a most amazing sight. Gesturing, Nakar Tan said, "This is the Garden of Tisara the Fair."
Before them stretched a radiant landscape of beautiful trees, delicate streams, and a panopoly of spectacular flowers. The garden extended as far as the eye could see, and in the center of it all stood a single grassy hill, topped by an amazing tree. The bark was as silvery grey as the moon, and the leaves were the vivid green of polished emeralds. Its slender trunk stretched into the sky, and the thin branches spread out from it like a lover's welcoming embrace. There were few sights as amazing as the Garden, and none as beautiful.

"This place is fascinating, Nakar Tan. I find it hard to believe such a place could stil exist going into the 22nd century. It's a welcome change from 90% of the world, which is nothing more than cities intertwined with one another. I mean, there's the unclaimed wilderness of the arctic regions, but all you can see is snow, and barren landscape. Seriously, this place needs to be protected no matter what so it can be cherished by your people in the future."
The general was about to continue his opinion when he was notified via PDA that his army had begun approaching Nakarak, and would soon offload via boat at a sit far away from populace, so as not to disturb anyone. The general then turned to Nakar Tan, and said, "Well, our men will begin arriving soon enough. I've taken the liberty of allowing them to approach by sampan, so to show that they can't always rely on technology to survive here. Besides, it's easily a covert weapon useful for navigating rivers, unlike inflatable boats."
"But enough about that. I appreciate you showing me the lands, Nakar Tan. It must mean a whole lot to allow an outsider to see the beauty of your sacred lands, and though I, like the vast majority of my people, follow no faith, I have to thank the Gods for their ability to produce such a magnificent place for your people. And it's a shame the Pacific States would want to destroy such a land, but they are ones who can never be swayed from anything. But now, we have given our part to help free the land once more for the flora to flourish."

Nakar Tan nodded solemnly as General Leuster expressed his thoughts on the Gardens. He then said, "Do you see the silver tree on the hill? It is part of an ancient legend about these gardens. Celnan Gilik became Nakar after the death of Nakar Gruln. The Nakar is not allowed to wed or sire children, in order to prevent any dynastic tendencies. But Gilik was in love, with an amazing woman, Tisara Kor. Her hair was like flowing silver, and her eyes glittered like green stars when she smiled. But Nakar Gilik was bound to his duty, and so he constructed these gardens, as a last testament to the one he had loved."
"As time passed, she spent more and more time in the gardens. Driven to solitude by grief and despair, she became a shell of her former self. No more did her eyes sparkle with joy; no more did a smile grace her lips. Time passed, and eventually Nakar Gilik fell in battle. Freed of his obligations in death, at last he could be with his beloved. One night she left her home near here and climbed to the top of the hill. In the morning she was gone, and in her place was the tree, grown to full size in a single night. And so these gardens, and the tree in particular, are blessed by Ynoliyth, the goddess of love, and no harm can ever befall them. Woe to those who would dare to try!"
He laughed then, an innocent laugh that reminded Leuster that for all his sloemn wisdom, Nakr Tan was still just a boy, less than a decade old. Upon closer scruitny, he could see that he was a young man touched by the wisdom of the elders who had gone before, and he wondered at the sight. But then the moment passed, and he could not later remember it.

The general laughed as well, then as the two walked on, he added, "Funny how even the elders can insight wisdom to everyone. Very few know it, but Timothy Matthews is actually a long off descendent of Otto I, the first ruler of a unified Canton Rouge all those years ago. Nobody really knows that because he is not a direct blood relative, but rather a distant relative from the current descendents. He'll never admit it in public, out of being labeled a royalty. He was never one for titles, except for the family estate he had out in the countryside."
As the two continued on, he mentioned, "But I couldnt agree more with ensuring a no dynastic rule in a country. It only leads to downfall. Ancient Egypt fell with its dynasties, and so too did the first Canton Rouge Empire, which became the 1st Republic. But enough politics from my end. Let us continue."
"Anyways, we probably should return. We need to get through the red tape, and I have to radio in and ensure everyone understands the rules of this, and direct everyone from my quarters. I can't stress enough how someone will want to break a rule just for the joy of it. I know it felt brief, but anytime that you don't have to discuss business in front of a standard procedure can be quite rewarding."
