Activity Seen Once Again as Royal Navy Units Get Up Steam 10APR2008 The Royal Navy of Great Britain and Ireland looks to be active again as rumors and whispers point to a big operation being in the works. More gold braid than usual has been seen out and about as ships take on provisions and local pubs report more activity than usual as enlisted men return by the thousands. Detective Inspector Derek Grim also notes the surge in general rowdiness as the sailors have returned to the port city claiming the only way to deal with the swabbies is, “You nick 'em, you lock 'em up and you throw away the door!” Also of note is the lack of movement in the main fleet. Flagged dreadnoughts and cruisers remain at anchor in Scapa Flow, yet this reporter has noticed a slow trickle of disguised units, Q-Ships if you will, leaving home ports and setting sail for parts unknown. It remains to be seen just what sort of action the fleet is getting up to these days, but it is certain that we can expect some exciting news soon and that the sailors and officers of His Majesty’s warships will do our region proud!
