Inc-red-ible Fact: RSN has 99 registered members!
1. After weeks of inactivity, our former Vice President was officially impeached this week. Confusion about the correct impeachent procedure led to discussion about clarifying and/or changing the impeachment process in legislation. The Western Mountain is now out of office and out of power. Even if he does come back, a return to the government is doubtful. His inactivity is known to be because of a heavy workload rather than technical problems. However, no one in the region was informed at all about these issues until weeks into his term.
2. Taking his place will be the consistent Physics Part II, a long-time RSN citizen and contributor. Physics is an Aussie, giving the Regional Council representatives from three continents (and accents!). Physics has been in the government many times before and ran for president unsuccessfully during the September 12th elections. He faced no competition for the interim position as most potential candidates are focused on either the upcoming High Justice (judge) election or the November 12th Regional Council elections.
3. Relations with the region The Land of Kings and Emperors have been terminated recently due to recent developments. RSN is cautious when it comes to invader regions and is not comfortable having relations with a known invader. We were unaware of their military orientation at the time of first contact and I personally apologize for not finding out sooner.
Presidential Address
This week, RED SOX NATION is beginning to move towards our first formal alliance treaty with another region, The Great Land of the Moon. This is a great achievement for RED SOX NATION as we move towards more world prominence.
Relations conducted with outside regions are increasing for RED SOX NATION, we now have over ten consulates with other regions, we have a lively discussion going on with all of them, and we are working towards alliances with several of them.
I am pleased to see the amount of activity on extra-regional affairs, and the emergence of RED SOX NATION into world affairs. I would encourage all nations of RED SOX NATION to go to talk to our allies and further our relations. I would also like to convey the message to all allies that RED SOX NATION is pleased with the progress we have made in our relations and we hope that progress will continue.
I would hope that relations with other regions would improve in the coming months, and that RED SOX NATION will continue to move into the future as a world power.

A new era has come to RSN. The citizenry have started to assert themselves independently of Regional Council influence as with the impeachment of our former Vice President, The Western Mountain, and the upholding of the Unification of the Realm Act. This will definitely present new challenges to the to our elected officials since the people will constantly be watching their every move.
The real question is what effects this newfound sense of independence will produce. Even with new legislation in the works, such as the Campaign Reform Act, and the discussion on whether citizens could gather intelligence independently of the goverment, the effect will be hard to judge. But one thing is certain, those running for office need to keep their promises when elected.

This week we have lost a key member from official roles – My Urinary Tract. He has quit all media forms, the immigration office and his ambassador duties. He says he doesn’t like the burden of an official role. I have one thing to say –AARRRGGG. If everybody did what Utract did, we would have an activity crisis. I find this a poor example set by our highest poster and member of the highest activity. I think we should punish this lack of ‘patriotism.’ But there is no official policy for this, mainly because it would be too hard to implement
