For
We often talk about the difference between RL and NS. It seems that the two are definitely interfering in the case of the opening of this particular Embassy.
First we had the problem of having "abstain" interpreted as "no". If you check a dictionary, you will find that they are two different things. In Robert's Rules of Order, "abstain" simply means that an individual wants it on record that he/she is not choosing yea or nay. This Embassy should have opened on the first vote.
For those of you who don't know, I've had this puppet in this region for quite some time. I used it to go out after people who tried to recruit on our RMB.
I'm Tasmanyaya.
EMC was a respected member of this forum. Because she resigned in a way people were not pleased with after being accused of letting RL issues and personal conflicts interfere with decisions here on the forum, she went to trial, doing everything she was told to do by Gnidrah.
Hyrule has embassies with Q102 which has 94 nations, with EuroIslanders which has 74 nations and with Peaceian which has 32 nations.
The Great Land of the Moon has 90, and is apparently still growing rapidly.
In the past, the only reason this region has turned down an embassy request has been instability in the region. I know, because I have checked many regions for Ness. Now, it seems the request is being turned down because people cannot separate RL issues and personal conflicts from game issues. Odd how history seems to be repeating itself.
Hyrule prides itself on allowing freedom of speech. I would hope that my words are still here when I again check the forum.

I will abstain, because whilst it is technically okay for me to vote, I will not as it could be interpretead as biased voting (as the Foregin Minister for the region in question)

I have decided to change my vote to abstain instead.

Since most people voted for the opening, an embassy shall be opened. Thanks to all who voted!
