While Paq discusses UTI...
The PM attempts to kick start the CoS
In Politics
Well, as is customary in these parts, an election has caused a bump in activity with the new government promising activity, leaps ahead in foreign policy and hope for the region. It has gone unnoticed that such early day activity also characterised the Sir Dingle Foot government and almost all other governments this year, with the possible exception of Gilliland's controversial term in office.
The one difference this time is that with both Paquerettes and Flake being deemed worthy of another term in office, this government has the advantage of hitting the ground running. In both cases, ministers who caused little controversy last term have been brought back in, possibly as much due to their universal acceptability as their excellent records.
Apart from those two, it is difficult to see how PM Posul's desire to form a government of "all the talents" has actually panned out. The choice of Fenchurch as FS, along with the attempt at restarting the CoS, is most likely a clear signal that this government intends to forge even closer links with TNI and wishes to try and find ways to launch even more battle operations. This appointment will also be a relief to Fenchurch who has already shown her willingness to play this role, no matter which office she holds. This time, her links to other regions will be well used.
Gilliland on the other hand, has probably landed the job he has always deserved. In his battling term in office he showed how good a General he really can be and it will be beneficial to the region to see him actually in this post. His inclusion adds a softer side to the hawks in this administration and it is hard to foresee anyone objecting to him getting this role.
In short, the PM, in his choice of cabinet, has published as clear a message as he could in any speech. The creation of a new post of Private Secretary is founded on either an optimistic belief that so much will be going on this term that it will require two people dealing with the paperwork, or a simplistic ploy to keep the HoC at bay for another term. I am sure that with his support for accountability, it cannot possibly be the latter.

For those of us who thought UTI was a college in America this week produced a shock. I will spare you the details but long discussions have now sprouted on health complaints small and large. Never mind, at least Riddim is on hand to give us advice.

Fen shocked the region yesterday by saying that Donchatryit reminded her of a previous boyfriend. Donchatryit's press spokesman refused to comment.

The UN has been changed to the World Assembly. Is this a joke or real?
