Yeah, those tables are really good! Seems like a lot of work had to be done to create them.

Indeed. Leg-ends worked hard on them. Anyway, not much has been going on at ACCEL this week, although our free trade proposal failed, after the successful one preceding it. Currently, another ACCEL resolution is up for vote. An article will surely be posted soon.

Secretariat Elections ConcludeElections for The Secretariat, the body charged with implementing ACCEL policy, have closed with the winners announced by the Chairman of ACCEL, Windsor-Bainbridge. The new Secretary-General is Wegason, the former Chairman was unopposed in the election, reflecting the strong confidence in the abilities of the then-Director from Coconut Island. Wegason was unanimously elected, receiving 13 votes in favour to none against. The Secretary-General is responsible for administering The Secretariat and informing The Directorate of all important matters relating to ACCEL and is ACCEL’s chief representative to other regions and organisations. Wegason: Secretary-GeneralThe most hotly contested election was for Secretary of War. Given the recent military failures of the alliance the Directorate was keen to elect a candidate with the experience and persistence required in order to whip the Department of War into shape. Secretary-General Posul, of Great Britain and Ireland, ran for the position along with The New Meritocracy Senator New Camedia. The former emphasised his work with as Security Minister of Lazarus and Minister for Defence of GB&I, while the latter could boast almost four years military experience with the Invaders Army. Both candidates emphasised the need for an ACCEL standing army rather than the patchwork of armies currently employed to defend the alliance. Campaigning quickly focused on New Camedia’s links with the raiding community, while many members questioned Posul’s suitability for the role. By the time polls opened it was clear that many Directors were impressed by New Camedia’s credentials and the Senator quickly raced in a seven votes to one lead over Posul. At this point the Secretary-General withdrew from the race, InterMet reported that this was due to a desire to “maintain his record of never having “lost” an election.” The final tally stood at 13 votes for New Camedia with one vote to re-open nominations. The Secretary of War oversees all military operations of ACCEL. He is the Supreme Commander of the army and takes command of the army on the field. The closest race was for Secretary of World Affairs, where former Chairman The Iroqouis squared off against The New Meritocracy Senator Haor Chall. Both candidates campaigned on the idea of increasing interdepartmental co-operation, in particular in areas such as recruitment and UN work. The vote finished eight to six in favour of The Iroqouis. The Secretary of World Affairs sends and maintains diplomatic missions to foreign organisations and works cooperatively with world leaders in order to peacefully expand ACCEL's influence in the international community. The other two contests, for The Department of Trade and National Sovereignty and The Department of Administrative Affairs, saw only one candidate for each position. Gruen, author of countless United Nations resolutions was confirmed as the new Secretary of Trade and National Sovereignty by 12 votes, with two votes to re-open nominations. Donchatryit was elected Secretary of Administrative Affairs with 11 votes in favour, with two abstentions. The Secretary of Trade and National Sovereignty encourages trade, oversees any economic policies of ACCEL and works co-operatively with world leaders in order to peacefully expand ACCEL's influence in the United Nations. The Secretary of Administrative Affairs is largely responsible for recruiting new members as well as communicating policies to existing members. The new Secretaries will now begin appointing Undersecretaries to assist them with their duties. The Directorate are in the process of drawing up the policies that the Secretariat will be tasked with implementing. -Written by Leg-endsACCEL News - ROAR! Rational, Objective, Accurate and Right!

Sorry, forgot to post this sooner (I've been.... busy at ACCEL and here at college RL ) Cuba joins ACCELWednesday 29 November Cubans can now look forward to buying modern carsThe region of Cuba was granted ACCEL membership today – just one month after being liberated from communist forces. The former Red Liberty Alliance member and socialist stronghold was freed by the Axis of Esksfans on the 18th October. Since then the region has been refounded by capitalists and is now “ideologically opposed to communism, socialism, fascism, national socialism and any ideology which advocates the violation of human rights. We are a society which values freedom and believes that the government which governs least governs best.” Under the leadership of Egosphere, Delegate of Cuba, the region successfully negotiated membership discussions with ACCEL. Although conceding that the region “has little to offer ACCEL in its current state”, the Directorate were suitable impressed by the symbolic nature of the region which represents the triumph of capitalism over socialism and the future plans for the region. The Directorate voted by ten votes to one, with two abstentions, to accept Cuba into the Alliance. Egosphere will now serve as Cuba’s Chief Representative, or Director, to ACCEL. - Written by Leg-endsACCEL News - ROAR! Rational, Objective, Accurate and Right!

Haha, VW's are shite compared to the BMW's News Round-UpDirectorate Sets PolicyThe Directorate of ACCEL have agreed upon the policy for the alliance for the coming months and weeks. The policy objectives will be implemented by the Secretariat, overseen by Secretary-General Wegason. Each Department has been given a detailed set of policy objectives in line with their broad role laid out within the Treaty of ACCEL. A copy of the policy document can be found in the Office of the Secretary-General. Junior Judges DecidedSecretary of Legal Affairs, r3naissanc3r, nominated Empires of Earth Delegate, Leg-ends, Objectivist Chimps, Shasarazade, The Mowers to serve as Junior Judges in the House of Justice. Three of the judges already have experience in the role with Objectivist Chimps and Empires of Earth Delegate brought in to fill the remaining two vacancies. All nominations were accepted and approved by the Directorate with the Junior Judges taking their seats immediately, where they will elect a President. Freedom Hall AcceptedThe region of Freedom Hall has been accepted into ACCEL after the Directorate voted by nine votes in favour of their acceptance to none against, with two abstentions. The 55 nation region will be represented by UN Delegate Esperantania on the Directorate. New ApplicantsThe region Anti-Liberal League has petitioned the alliance for membership, under the guidance of their UN Delegate, Harshhaven. It is anticipated that voting on the application will commence this week. David6, UN Delegate of the region Siberian Underground Universe, and Eskenite, of the region Libertarian, have applied to become national members. Amendments to the Legal Code and TreatyThe Legislation Maintenance Unit has been busy under the guidance of Secretary for Legal Affairs r3naissanc3r. Amendments to Title V and VI of the Legal Code are being considered by the Directorate to improve the efficiency and activity of the Secretariat. Amendments to Title III of the Legal Code and Articles I and IV of the Treaty are also being considered to improve membership procedures. Voting on both set of amendments ends on December 20th. Honours Committee AppointedThe following members have been appointed to the Honours Committee: Donchatryit, Jasque, Shasarazade, Wegason, The Iroqouis and West Antioch. The Committee will now meet to award honours to its members who have delivered exceptional service to the cause of capitalism and conservatism, and the alliance itself. UN Drug ActACCEL member Jey has submitted a UN Resolution “UN Drug Act” that seeks to protect national sovereignty. The resolution has reached quorum and will be voted on in the upcoming week. While some members of the alliance maybe upset that the resolution urges drugs be legalised, UN members would not be forced to legalise drugs. There is also a clause affirming “the right of UN member states to determine their own laws with regard to the legality of any activity involving recreational drugs”. This should prevent future UN resolutions outright legalising or banning drugs, upholding the principles of national sovereignty. Voting begins on Wednesday the 20th and member regions are urged to support the resolution. Alliance DeparturesThe regions of Capitalist Paradise, The Capitalist Wing and Alpha omega have left the alliance over the past few weeks. Founding member region Coconut Island resigned following a decline that left the region with just one member. ACCEL AdvertiserLater this week the ACCEL Advertiser will be launched in member regions detailing how members can aid the Alliance. Be sure to check it out to see - Written by Leg-endsACCEL News - ROAR! Rational, Objective, Accurate and Right!

Ahhhhh!!!!! I switched over to Opera 9 for a web browser, and I deleted all of my history in Mozilla, so I had lost your url for a bit. >.< The Risk board was something I added News Round-UpShasarazade Elected ChairmanThe Director from The New Meritocracy, Shasarazade, has been elected Chairman. Elected by votes six votes to nil, with one abstention, he ascends to the role following Windsor-Bainbridge’s resignation last month. Shasarazade had previously ran for the role of Chairman when it was last elected, losing narrowly to Windsor-Bainbridge of Great Britain and Ireland. The Chairman is responsible for administering all voting, ensuring that the Directorate deals with important matters and follows its own rules of procedure. Thousand Voices Elected Secretary of WarThousand Voices, of Elite Conservative Circuit, has been elected Secretary of War by nine votes in favour, with one call to re-open nominations. Although several candidates were nominated, including Jasque, of Marsburg, and North East Somerset, of Great Britain & Ireland, only Thousand Voices accepted, promising “to promote each member region as well as the entire Alliance in general throughout the NS world for being both strong in military, and fair in judgement”. The new Secretary of War brings a wealth of experience to the role, and has pledged to “perform better than every ACCEL Secretary of War that has come before me, and I will set the benchmark that all those after me should endeavour to beat.” An election was held after previous the previous Secretary of War, Reborn Carlopia, retired. Iron Judge ResignsThe Secretary of Legal Affairs, R3naissancer of Great Britain and Ireland, has resigned, citing that “I can no longer undertake the responsibilities of this position”. In the race to become the new Secretary of Legal Affairs, or “Iron Judge” as it is more commonly known, only former Chairman Windsor-Bainbridge has accepted a nomination, claiming “I'm here to take my job back again!” Objectivist Chimps has already declined his nomination, while Empires of Earth Delegate is yet to accept or decline his nomination. Nominations close of Saturday the 10th of February. Independent National Member DebateSeveral discussions have been underway about the status of Independent National Members, and more specifically, who should be counted as one. Debate arose after The Heights joined the Senate of The New Meritocracy, though as a resident of Alpha omega. After discussions between Corintur, Consul of The New Meritocracy, and ACCEL’s Secretary of Administrative Affairs, Donchatryit, as well as many members of the Alliance, it was generally agreed that participation in the Senate means they are counted as Constituent National Members. Diplomacy in actionACCEL has conducted an embassy swap with the newly founded region of Wall Street, with the Alliance opening an Embassy in Wall Street and the region moving into a Consulate at ACCEL. Terra Incognita and The Young World have also been granted Consulates. Membership ApplicationsSedgistan, of The New Power Federation, made an application to become an Independent National Member, which was accepted. A Minister Resident election will be held under the rules laid out in the Treaty of ACCEL, now that there are 15 in number. - Written by Leg-endsACCEL News - ROAR!
