Hello fellow citizens of the Canton and any viewers abroad. This is Claude DeJouer reporting live from the capital Bernstadt. Only a few minutes ago did Head of International Relations Frederik Eisel board a charter Learjet heading to Rome to meet with the ruling families in hopes of starting diplomacy between the two nations. Eisel had this to say:
"What can I say? I say the sooner Canton Rouge starts making connections to the other nations in the world, the better it will be in the long run for us."
In other news, Canton Rouge has also confirmed that it will be attending an economic summit in Tokyo next week, which is being met with strong support in the National Assembly and citizens. Until then, we wish the best for Eisel and for the President once he goes to the summit.

Good evening again citizens of the Canton. Tonight, in response to Protoa sending more troops over to Nicassar to continue rounding up rebels, Canton Rouge has also pledged to send a part of its army over as well to help support the situation.
In related news, our Grand Moff Matthews is in Copenhagen as part of the Central Powers Alliance meeting, discussing important ordeals with the leaders of other CPA nations. Right now, the public is showing fervid support of Grand Moff Matthews, mainly for not only strengthening international relations, but also by ensuring the freedoms of citizens, even while a Reich State. Yet, the same can not be said for the other Grand Moff, Johanna Blascowitz. Because of her refusal to aid the state in the recent transition, there is talk of her being ousted from the position of the other Grand Moff.
In business today, the stock for weapons firm Gunther Ballistics went up three percent, now capping at a record high of 9,463.27. This can be attributed to the recent release of the M95 sniper rifle now being sold to the public. Also, automotive firm Beoit has just unveiled the 2008 Cristiano model. This car will be sold around $22,950, making it an excellent car for those on the go, especially since it is the first of its kind to run on E85.
And finally, in sports, the National Hockey Nation just started its 38th season today played between the Bernstadt Tigers and the Eifel City Clan. The score was 3-1 in favor of Bernstadt. This will be an excellent start to Bernstadt, who soon go on to face the Vittorio Ice, while Eifel City wil hope to top the defending champions New Sanfel Killers.
Thank you for tuning in.

***********************NEWS UPDATE*******************************
Good evening and welcome to a special edition of CRIN. I am Rolf Hendriks, foreign correspondent reporting live in the Protoan territory of Kuwait, where Canton Rouge has just recently deployed a contigent of troops to help Protoa in ensuring order in the borderlands. But just now, we have received word that the CRISF, or Canton Rouge Internal Strike Force, is now being deployed to the area as well.
The exact reason for this is top secret, but we can only say that the CRISF will be working with Protoan Special Forces units. That is all, so we will update you as soon as we get new information.

Good evening once again citizens of Canton Rouge. Tonight, we bring you a live report in Riefort, Clamparaba, as our foreign correspondant reports in on the EMP attack there. What do you have for us, Cesar?
"Well, panic is still here as the lights still are out where I am. The military is directing traffic, but all I can say is, it will take a while for things to settle down here."
Thank you Cesar. Turning to domestic issues, Grand Moff Matthews is currently in Atlanta, Georgia, capital of the Southern States of America, in a meeting with President Jefferson Davis. Right now, the talks are going well. When we polled random citizens on the street to ask them if they agreed to a broadening of diplomatic channels, an overwhelming 95% said yes. Also in domestic issues, because of the possibility of terrorism because of recent attacks, more soldiers will be on the streets for safety and security.
That's all for now, tune in soon for more news.

Good evening citizens of Canton Rouge. As you may all know, the Remembrance Festival is soon upon us. This goes back to remembering the carnage the nation undertook when it was unified back in the 19th century. As tradition for each festival, the leader always gives a speech on the importance of knowing our past, and using it to allow our future to be bright.
Going along that, Nakar Kor, supreme ruler of Nakarak, has pledged to attend this years festival. This will mark a truely special occasion that a foreign ruler has come for a local festival. In accordance with this, security will be tightened at the location of the speech, the Parliament House, which overlooks Avenue Viktor III.
That's all for now, tune in this Sunday for the speech!

***News Update***
Hello fellow citizens. As you know, the nation just a few days ago was attacked with an enormous loss of life. Among those killed was Grand Moff Blaskowitz. For that, we honor her life with this moment of silence.
Despite this, life is slowly moving back to normal here. Already, rebuilding has begun with everyone lending a hand in construction, giving out supplies, or just giving words of encouragement. Even though such a horrible thing has occured, residents have taken it positively, saying that stuff like this happens, and you just have to remember the past, but also prepare for the future.
Moving on to international news, recent protests at the embassies in Istanbul has led to a bombing of an S.S.A. embassy. A few S.S.A. Marines were reported to have been killed, in addition to the bomber and a few civilians. In response, most if not all foreign nations have pulled their ambassadors out of the country.
Also in the world, Rome has finally started to pull itself out of the economic depression it found itself in when the rebellions began. This has been met with approval throughout the Senate and the populace in general. But economicists are quick to point out that Rome must do the right things now, or they may slip further into a slump.
That's all for now.

UPDATE! In a recent act performed by Grand Moff TImothy Matthews, the capital of Canton Rouge will be changing. Starting this year, instead of being based in Bernstadt, the capital will be moving southwest to Paris. By mid-January, it is hoped that all administration will be in Paris. This will bring about a production and population boost to the southwest. Related to this, Bernstadt will be reverting back to it's original name of Antwerp. This has been met with mixed reactions to the populace. While long time residents disapprove of the name change, others are in favor of seeing more of a Flemish name to the area.
