The Remaining Spainiards finnaly hoisted the flag to signify their heroic victory. They were able to march to the top of the mountain and reclaim Spain as an independant nation, as well as re-establish its glory. The sldiers began to sing and drink in happiness, as well as mourn for their fallen friends and enemies alike. Some of the deaths that men faced on both sides must have been the worst death imaginable, due to the trampling and mass numbers of hand to hand combat that occured. Medics were running everywhere, trying to find survivors...and Cicero. He could not be found, and was said to have left secretly, or been camoflouged as a regular soldier. No one knew what happened to that legend of the Romans, but the Spainards wanted him to symbolize their victory.
Francisco Franco however, was already gone. He had started to regian his independance before the war was even over. He knkew he had victory, but was still amazed at the efforts of the Romans
