News Report
"We now take you to Luigi Barra, who is currently standing outside of Cornelius Scipio's villa and residence. An amazing series of events has transpired over the past 24 hours in Rome and it doesn't look like these very interesting events will stop churning themselves out..."
"That's right, Andrea...Thank you. I'm standing outside the main residence and headquarters, so to speak, of the House of Scipii where moments ago the leaders of the other Houses began to make their way inside. From what we can guess, Tiberius Maxentius, Marcus Julius, and Gaius Brutus have already entered and we can only guess as to what their conversation is like..."

Scipii Residence
Cornelius Scipio made sure to be already seated in his very large and glamorous living room when his guests arrived. His maid and butler quietly attended to the guests before showing them in. Cornelius immediately stood and welcomed his guests and traditional rivals into his home before beckoning his maid to bring in some refreshments.
“It has been awhile, I must say…”, Marcus Julius said making himself comfortable in a matter of seconds.
“I concur with my fellow Roman. I do hope that life hasn’t treated you and your family too badly, especially after that recession in the economy about a decade ago.”, retorted Gaius Brutus right after.
“Yes…the world economy suffered a little, but it wasn’t too bad. Now I won’t waste any of our time further. Let us get to the business at hand!”, Cornelius said. He waited for his maid to finish passing out the glasses of champagne and small plates of water crackers and cheese before continuing. “Together we have been able to do something that no one in Porcu, or for that matter Hyrule, could predict. We, together, have been able to essentially rid Porcu of Fascism. As Brutus has already informed me, he wishes to restore the Senate, which as you all know would provide all our families the power we once had 2000 years ago. Brutus…”
“My thanks Scipio, now we are all very illustrious and represent the last of the greatest civilization in Hyrule’s history. I intend to restore the Roman Republic and thus elevate Porcu to a level which she could never imagine under Duce Mussolini or Duce Messe…”
Tiberius Maxentius now jumped in. “That may be true, but Mussolini only brought prosperity to Porcu. During his rule, and Fascism’s rule, the value of the Lira tripled and is now one of the strongest in Hyrule. I am not against your plan, Brutus, but we must be careful in our painting of Fascism as many throughout Porcu are still loyal to “Il Duce.”
“That is very true Maxentius, however I have already thought of how we may induce the people’s support as well as Messe’s, which as we all know carries the support of the Legions. My plan is to call for general elections, elections we are all sure to win because we can shut out any smaller runners. If we all support each other and if we use our influence in our respective areas we can guarantee that all 100 seats will be filled by members of our four respective Houses. Once that is done, we will beg for Messe to become Consul, something that he will not decline, mostly because the people will support this move as well, but when he becomes Consul his power is dramatically lessened and we can remove him whenever it is convenient to us…”
“Keep in mind”, Cornelius Scipio added, “that once the 100 seats are divided up between us it will be back to normal politics and rivalries.”
“What about our relations with foreign powers?”, Marcus Julius asked. “Messe’s move to join the Central Powers was a stupid and frankly immature decision and if it is within my family’s power I will terminate the Republic’s agreement. Robengrad must be kept close though…”
“I completely agree”, Scipio said. “The Senate’s top priorities will be to reduce the power of the Fascist Party, enact strict citizenship reforms, and maintain our traditional foreign relations.”
“I would suggest inviting President Bush here to Rome immediately following the formation of the Senate”, piped Tiberius Maxentius. “That would send a strong message not only to the people of Rome but all of Hyrule as well…”
“Excellent! It seems as if we have gotten off to a great start and now it seems as if we all understand each other.”, Scipio said joyously. Standing out of his seat he took his glass of champagne and confidently held it out in front of him. “All for the Senate and People of Rome! All for the Republic!”
“All for the Republic!”, was the response as the illustrious businessman, industrialist, politician, and medical doctor said their goodbyes. They would meet again, no doubt, but more importantly the ball was in motion and things were changing…
