Breaking News
Despite successfully presiding over the Confederate States of America for an astonishingly marvelous term of four years, reuniting and reforming the Confederacy, President Jefferson S. Davis has announced his decision not to run for a second term as President and will be stepping down in three weeks. Already, countless political parties in the C.S.A. are continuing to scramble for votes, with fiery orators viciously attacking one another in countless debates throughout the airwaves.
James T. Derroit (Dixiecrat Party) - A member of the staunchly nationalist "Dixiecrat Party", Derroit strongly supports the preservation of "Southern" values in the Confederacy and has wasted very little breath on the "emancipation" and "desegregation" issue. Known largely by most citizens as the man who brought order in Louisiana following the infamous "Race Riots" which took place throughout the Deep South after the reunion of the Confederacy, Derroit gained national admiration through his effective handling of Georgian National Guard units during this crisis, not hesitating to shoot black looters and dissidents.
Derroit has strong supporters in the Kappa Klux Klamus (KKK) fraternity/paramilitary organization, and strongly supports slavery, the participation of the CSA in JAUST, and an anti-Islamic stance in world politics.
Charles Norris (Democrat) - While lauded as a "yellow bellied snake" and "black person lover" by much of the population, Norris nonetheless has a powerful following in his home state of Tennessee by moderates, and presses for a reform in Confederate economy by loosening trade restrictions with the SPQR and Stargates SG-1.
Norris, however, supports a strong stance on JAUST policies of "World Policing" and has pressed on more than one occasion to intervene in several foreign expansion claims.
Sam Brownback (Republican) - Perhaps the most conservative of all three candidates, Senator Sam Brownback draws massive support from the Baptist churchgoers of the C.S.A., and also has been a Southern Baptist preacher in the past. Vehemently anti-emancipation and pro-segregation, Brownback believes the role of the C.S.A. to be the "light of god himself" on this world, and must expand its holdings to Africa to "teach the unwashed negro hordes the way of the civilization and Christ".
Brownback supports JAUST and seeks to develop stronger ties with the SPQR.
