OOC: This is the RP for the expansion of Nakarak. Feel free to join in and voice your opinions.
Despite the nearly suicidal frenzy of Nakarak's warriors, the nation had grown so large as to burst her bounds. There was enough land for food for now, but soon it would be a different story if something was not done. Thus Nakarak turned, as always, to war.
The Yucutan Peninsula seemed an ideal location: fertile, lightly populated, and unclaimed by any major power. And so it came to pass that a force of ten thousand soldiers set foot on the soil of the Yucutan in preparation for a coming colony group. The stunned native peoples were given this message:
"This land is hereby claimed as a part of the Kingdom of Nakarak. All current residents have the option of leaving, in which case you will be escorted to the border along with whatever possessions you can take with you, or to remain as members of the slave class. This is not the same as the type of slavery you are probably familiar with. You will essentially be non-citizen members of the worker class. If you later convert to the worship of the Gods and the tenets of Nakaran society, your children will be treated as native citizens of Nakarak. You will have forty eight hours in which to decide, and to leave if you so choose. After that time, the colony ships from Nakarak will begin to arrive, and anyone remaining will be considered slaves. Do not attempt armed resistance. You cannot succeed and will all likely die horribly in the attempt. We wish for this to be as peaceful a transition as possible. That is all."
The soliders began escorting those who immediately decided to leave, and worked to quash any attempts at resistance. They also began burning down houses that had already been vacated, to fertilize the soil and make room for traditional Nakaran dwellings. Nakaran plants were notoriously quick to grow when tending by Tanaka scientists, and within a few scant months this new land would be just as vibrant and beautiful as Nakarak.

To the Government of Nakarak:
Your actions within the Yucatan Peninsula will not be tolerated. Please refrain from any further activity, or military force will be involved. The peoples within the Yucatan Peninsula shall not be deemed "slaves" by anyone from anyone, and the institution of slavery shall not be condoned in any new areas, unless they already have a slave system. Your actions of destroying the native peoples land are not only barbaric, but life ending actions. These events will end now, or Nakarak will face Spain face to face.
We will be sending non-military ships to collect the peoples of the Yucatan Peninsula and take them to Spain for safety during your actions should they not stop. If any military action is taken to these peace keeping vessels, expect to have military intervention, and a swift end to your expansion.
Your actions will not be tolerated and are a violation of civil liberties and common courtesy to all peoples in the world. Stop now or see a speedy end to your nation."
Manuel Azana was furious with the actions of Nakarak. He knew he had to stop it, and would go to any measure to see it done. Not only did he need to save the people there, but he also had intended to peacefully try and expand to the Yucatan Peninsula himself in the future. Now was his time to act, and he had to act fast. He began to prepare a military force...

To the Esteemed Ruler of Spain:
We fully understand your concerns. As we have explained, however, this is not slavery as you would describe it. Is is exactly the same as the Nakaran worker class, but without citizenship. They are treated no worse than anyone else, their needs are looked after, and if they wish to leave, they can leave. But think now of the one and a half billion people in my country. We need land to grow food, room for people to live, temples for religious ceremonies. Our society could be considered invasive,, yes, but those people who choose to remain will see the fruits of this labor. Nakaran wildlife is more rich and verdant than anywhere else in the world, and dozens of plants previously found only in Nakarak have medicinal properties. Should we keep this bounty only for ourselves, or share it with those already struggling to get by?
If you wish to take the natives to your land, and they wish to go, we will not stop you. If any choose to stay and do not like Nakaran life, they may leave. This is not intended to be conquest, but growth and betterment of all involved. We will gladly meet with you should you still have concerns. I will personally be accompanying the first wave of colonists to arrive the morning after next, local time. If you wish to speak with me, I will gladly meet you there. I wish to emphasize that while I do not wish for war, I will not let my people starve.

To Nakar Kor: Seeing as we too, employ the use of slaves in our economy, we are interested in perhaps establishing a solid "slave trade" between Nakarak and the Confederate States of America, and will pay reasonable prices to the Nakarakan Kingdom for the delivery of "healthy" stock into the C.S.A.
Unspoiled, fit, and healthy specimens will be bought and paid for in Confederate Dollars.- Stanley Guidall, Bureau of Human Resources

To the Nakarakan Government:
We are happy to see you have good intentions. We do not wish for war either, and appologize for the aggressive stance of our nation. The institution of slavery is not bad unless the people are treated poorly. It seems that you are seeing to it that they are looked after. I will not tolorate the abuse of peoples rights, and will intervene with the necisarry precautions should you cease to look after peoples needs.
Yours, Manuel Azana President of Spain

Dear Mr. Guidall,
Your offer is appreciated, but I am afraid that our two intitutions are rather uncompatible. Nakaran slavery is intended to bring the unenlightened people of the world into the service of the Gods, and I am afraid that this would be impossible in your country when you do not follow the Gods yourselves. Our slavery is based off of religion, while yours is based off of race as far as I know, though I admit we do not know your country well. This also seems to be a delicate issue in many countries, and we do not wish to cause offense through misunderstanding. I am afraid that we must decline your offer, but we look forward to having positive relations in the future.

To the esteemed Nakar Kor
We would like to congradulate you on your recent successful move into the Yucatan Peninsula. We hope that while you enjoy the fruits of your conquest, we ask that you also preserve any historical monuments that may lay there so as future generations of the world may study these civilizations from the past.

To Nakar Kor,
Greetings my good friend. An ally you have always been and now is the time for your expansion. I sincerely hope that your nation gets larger and more wealthy as time goes on. You have the Reich's full military support in you conquest if you so need it. As a small note, our esteemed friend Marcus Theafer has told me that Clampapra is moving away from the Central Powers. While I am deeply disappointed with this action, I ask you to give him the same consideration and friendliness that of which he was still in the alliance.
Regards,
Fuhrer Sanar Lucian

Sanar Lucian,
I am honored by your speech and your generosity. You have been a stalwart ally, and I am glad to have you once more at my side. I will of course treat Clampara with civility and respect. May the Gods bless you with mighty foes and insurmountable odds, that you may become mightier still.

Nakar Kor arrived in the newly acquired territories, now rechristened the Outlands, to find a sight of wonder and awe. Where once stood monstrosities of stone and glass now were graceful Nakaran buildings, intertwined with and framed by the roots of the swift growing, towering Nakaran ktchor trees. Everywhere the foul stentch of civilization was being washed away by nature's touch, with a helping hand from the Tanaka. Former outsiders, now wearing the grey hide robes of the slaves, were being instructed by brown-robed workers in the growth and care of the abundant plants and animals. Towering over the entire community was the new temple, a great edifice of bone and ebony, shipped at great expense from Nakarak. It was second in size and grandiosity only to the Great Temple itself, and was a vivid sign of the great changes that had come to pass. The temple had been christened The Temple of the Horizon, in honor of the colonists and the natives, and the journeys they had made, in the name of Nakarak, and of the Gods.
