Hello citizens and nations of Hyrule, I am Gavin Metz. This is the first international broadcast from the newly created Hyrule News Network, and we hope that you will enjoy the HNN. For our first report, I will send you over to David Glennon our "war" respondent, for the current events that are brewing in Africa. Well David? Hello Gavin, and thank you! Well, many of you have heard of what is occurring in Africa, but do not know a lot about it. From what I have found, I am hoping that this will clear things up. This image is becoming all to frequent to the peoples in Somalia, as many of the warlords there have began to fight for their own beliefs. The latest rumor is that the group, Knight International has began to side with many different forces or armies to create a so called super power, enabling them to sweep across Somalia and take it over. No word yet on if they have been extremely successful with their fighting, but with the intervention of K.I. they most likely will be. However, its also rumor that the S.P.Q.R. have their eyes on Somalia as well, which may prove a worthy opponent for K.I. and their allies. Thats the latest for the war side of things, so now I will send you over to Maria Voss for the rest of the HNN report. Seems quite hectic David, maybe things can calm down for you. you wont have to do as much. (Laughter between the reporters). Well, I am Maria Voss and I am bringing you the latest on the nations of Hyrule. Currently the Southern States of America has annexed several more states, adding to the power of the already almighty nation. These States seceded from the Northern States of America, damaging the already frail nation. Also, The Socialist Commonwealth of Schiermannhoven have now stepped into the international scene, with a scheduled meeting from leaders from another country. No word yet on what nation Schiermannhoven is trying to make ties with, but it is known that they are a neutral nation willing to talk with others. Good thing, because we already have too much work for David with all the war going on. Also, in Europe Spain has finally gained their freedom and have clearly followed the footsteps of the S.S.A. forming a democratic government. Spain is now led by Manuel Azana and is making progress with their rebuilding phase everyday. In other news within Europe, the Ottoman Caliphate is gaining more and more power everyday, creating a bigger threat to other nations around the world. The Ottomans are the only Islamic Nation here within Hyrule, and have been greeted with animosity by other nations around Hyrule. Perhaps Schiermannhoven can make a new friend? Well thats it on the international incidents, so I will send you back to Gavin. Great work Maria! She always amazes me. Well thats the latest from Hyrule, brought to you by The Hyrule News Network, bringing you the best and latest top stories, weather, entertainment, politics and more. Thank you for joining us, Stay Classy Hyrule!

Hola Mis Amigos de Hyrule! This is Alfonso Domingo, with your SBS Report. The latest news within Espania is that the dreaded sea-pirate, who was wrecking havoc on the southern coast of Spain has finally left, leaving the tourist cruise ships and fishing ships to peacefully sail along. About 15 ships in total were taken over and looted by an terrorist group who calls themselves, The Nuevo Orden, and are believed to be lead by Francisco Franco. Luckily however, they have moved on after military ships of Spain entered the waters of the southern shore. Now time for the weather reports, from Emilia Viera. Emilia? Hola Alfonso and Gracias! The weather in Spain is partly cloudy towards Barcelona and the surrounding areas with a High of 58 and a low of 43. Not too bad, but a coat is till needed. The rest of Spain is experiencing weather similar to Madrid with a light rain and a high of 49, low of 41. Its a bit miserable, especially with the cold rain falling. But thats it for the weather, and so I will take you to the beautiful Eva Longoria for your a special interview with General Fernando Flavio to find out all about Spain's military interests. Eva? Hola Hola! I am here with General Flavio and have some important questions to ask. Eva: Flavio, with everything occurring in Somalia right now, do you have any intentions in getting involved? Flavio: Well, with the S.S.A. being a great ally of ours, we will help them if they choose to become involved, however with our nation finally finding its feet, we do not want to engage in anything we do not need to. Eva: OK, well, Many of the cities in Spain are beginning to get a bit over crowed. Rumor has it that we may expand into South America, or west of the S.S.A. Can you tell us about that? Flavio: Well Eva, you are correct about us wanting to expand, but we have not decided as to where. There are many things brewing which may cause a need for all military personnel, and we want to make sure we have what we need when the time comes. Eva: Ok, Gracias General Flavio, have a good day! Back to you Alfonso! Gracias Eva, well folks thats all we have today! The Spanish Broadcasting Channel has brought you the best of Spain everyday once again. Thank you for watching SBS. This is Alfonso Domingo.

Bonjour und Hallo great people of Hyrule! I am Karl DeBois, the CRIN reporter for all the news from Canton Rouge. As of right now, the capital has just recently moved to the southern part of the country, to boost population there. What I'm talking about is the capital is now based in Paris! As for Bernstadt, they will retain the economic dealings of the nation, but even Bernstadt isn't safe from change. For they have been given a name change back to the traditional name of Antwerp. In business, arms firm Gunther Ballistics has announced plans to expand internationally, thus cutting out on the expenses customers must take to place an order here. No word yet on which nation will be the first to receive the firm, although it is hinting that the firm might set up in Protoa. And finally, we are hearing that there may be talk of the nation expanding southward into the undeveloped lands bordering the SPQR, our country, and Protoa. Although not confirmed, rest assured that if it is the case, not only would the natural resources there boost the already powerhouse economy, but it would allow more of the population to spread out. Thank you for tuning in, Hyrule. Until next week, this is Karl DeBois of CRIN.

A report from the defense ministry reported a new vehicle to be available to our troops. The M35 Mako, a six-wheeled APC, will be the fastest vehicle in the CRA. Boasting a .50 cal machine gun and a 75 mm gun, the Mako will be the main APC in the Clamparapan army. Shooting was reported in the mining province of Angton, but things were said to have been controlled. There is no confirmation on what the shooting is about or who was involved. In sports, the Frealton Maraudors beat the Rataraz Rangers, 5-2. The 3 stars were Frederick Julius, Derek Frankers, and Gregory Thatcher. This continues the Maraudors undefeated season at 17-0 and will be playing the Rieler Lions. This will be the last team for Frealton before the playoffs start and if they win they will become the first team to achieve an undefeated season. Storms will be brewing to the south of Clamparapa in the Pacific, but it shouldn't affect us that much. However, mariners are urged to stay on land while the storms pass. Stay tuned for more news as it happens...

Socialist Commonwealth News"Hallo en welkom naar de Socialistische Nieuws...I'm Joris van Beek and here is the news... Premier Felix Hamrin has been seen combing Woodstock in preparation of the President of the Southern States of America, Jefferson Samuel Davis, and thousands are expected to be on hand when Premier Hamrin greets the American President tomorrow. President Davis is expected to tour around Woodstock, being shown the architecture, landscape, and people of our socialist fatherland before being taken inside Parliament, where it is expected he deliver a short speech. Afterward, Premier Hamrin hopes the President could enjoy a meal with him, no doubt looking to lay out plans for a trade agreement or something similar... In other news, the Roman Senate has officially opened its borders and shipping lanes to SCS ships, providing the products of the Commonwealth to a whole new market and billions more people. Already SPQR trading ships have been seen here in Woodstock harbor, unloading their precious cargo and many economists are optimistic that the measures being taken by the Premier to establish relations with other nations will bring further prosperity to Hyrule's true socialist realm... That's all for now...Dank je en Gauw tot ziens..."

Gavin Metz: Hello and welcome back to the Hyrule News Network. We have a lot to tell you, and so we will send you over to David Glennon right off the bat to tell us about the military conflicts that are occurring within Hyrule at the moment. David Glennon: Thanks Gavin. We do have a lot going on, but its more of the same here. There is still continued violence within Somalia, and new information has been received informing me that Aidid, a clan leader that is opposing Knight International, a mercenary group, is now facing an all out attack from KI and its allies. No word yet on if that conflict has seen an end or who is victorious, but it will surely lead to more fighting in the future. That’s it, and so I will now let Maria Voss take the reign’s…Maria? Maria Voss: Yes, yes. Hello everyone, I am Maria Voss here to tell you about the “peaceful” events within Hyrule. Within the C.S.A. elections are taking place, and a man by the name of Derriot seems to have the lead, but the lead seems to change with the direction of the winds. Derriot is favored however, as Spanish President Manuel Azana gave him his support, and the support of the rest of the Democratic World. That may prove to be the deciding factor, but who knows with elections. On another note, three nations have expanded, StargateSG-1, Nakarak and Zionir. The latter has spread into Kuwait and Israel and is trying to take control over the people. No word yet on if any violence has occurred. Also, Nakarak has spread into the Yucatan Peninsula, controlling the people and trying to improve life for its citizens and new folk alike. StargateSG-1 however has spread due to a unique situation. Several governments of nearby countries had utterly failed, leaving a once governed state in Anarchy. StargateSG-1 however has taken control of these lands, and brought order to the people Apart from the expansions, Canton Rouge is changing its form of government into a democracy. The C.S.A. has already expressed interest in having the said nation join JAUST, the democratic treaty that is attempting to unite the Democratic world. With that said, the peaceful part of the news is over and Julio can finish it off I suppose… Julio Sanchez: Thank you Maria! I am Julio Sanchez, your weather and entertainment reporter. I am currently in Southern Spain right now, enjoying a bit of sunlight which hasn’t been seen in over a week. That’s right, Spain now has its decent weather back, and ended its dreary weather. Secondly, storms were occurring in Southern Clamparapa, within the Pacific, but no harm was done so far. No more information has been received about these storms, but we can only hope thay don’t get worse. Back to you Gavin! Gavin: Thank you Julio, and thank you Hyrule. That’s it for your HNN update. See you next time and stay Classy Hyrule!

Socialist News Network"Hallo en welkom naar de Socialistische Nieuws...I'm Joris van Beek and here is the news... Premier Felix Hamrin has lost considerable support from the Soviet Congress, as the former Parliament of the Socialist Commonwealth is now known, especially during the midterm congressional elections. Before last weeks elections, Premier Hamrin's Democratic Socialists held a large majority in the three party Soviet Congress, but in just a matter of hours the citizens of the USSS have made it clear that change in Woodstock is needed. The Communists have amassed a considerable amount of support and that has translated in them now controlling Congress. Bruce Cornwall: Communist Party member, Congressman, and new Majority Leader While the Premier himself is still a generally well-accepted figure the Communist Party was able to taken advantage of the recent 'slip' or 'complete lack' in the support and maintenance of the ideology of the Left. It was only several weeks ago that an arms negotiation took place between the USSS and the Roman Republic, the Romans giving over military equipment such as tanks, fighter jets, and bombers in exchange for the USSS economy to be exposed to Roman firms. Obviously, it would take sometime to pass before an assessment of exactly what effect the decision has and will make, but the Communists in the Soviet Congress immediately took it as a betrayal. In general, the Democratic Socialists and Libertarian Socialists are suspicious of capitalism and capitalists, but are willing to engage in trade and negotiate within their own reasonable boundaries. The Communists, however, are completely against any sort of collaboration and hold the capitalist world in their lowest regards. It has been rumored that a vote of no confidence will be brought up in Congress soon and if successful the vote would effectively end Premier Hamrin's term of office. The stakes are high for both Premier Hamrin and Hyrule in the coming weeks... That's all for now...Dank je en Gauw tot ziens..."

Sweeping Political ChangeCitizens with Roman and Latin citizenship will be able to vote for the Consul as well as SenatorsAfter being threatened with the prospect of a Senate gone awry Consul Marcus Cicero has given in to demands from the Left in order to have some pieces of his legislation pass through the Senate. For decades there have been no official political parties within the Roman Republic, with candidates for office running on their own accords and under no party label; however, liberal Senators such as Maximinius Servus have been able to press for the creation of 3 political parties, which would more than encompass the differing ideological views of citizens. Senator Servus, along with other prominent Senators, has also been able to pass legislation guaranteeing voting privileges to Romans with Latin citizenship, the "second tier" citizenship class, effectively quadrupling the number of eligible voters. Ever since the re-founding of the Roman Republic, there has been a gradual move towards a representative democracy which started from a group of 100 men who had life terms to now where the entire government is subject to the masses. Although Senator Servus wished to have future elections be decided purely by popular vote the legislation would not pass unless a measure was added which is a copy of the system employed in the Confederate States of America, the Electoral College. Details for the new election system are still being worked on since this would be Porcu's first election to decide the leader of the nation since before the tenure of Il Duce, Benito Mussolini. While official political parties have, until now, been illegal there have been centers of thought for the Right, the Left, and so called Independents in the universities of Milan, Palermo, and Florence respectfully. Just hours after the news of the legislation having passed in the Roman Forum students and proponents of the new measures took to the streets in flocks. "We, Senators have always known how the man across the aisle thought and their specific ideology and most Romans also knew, but now there is a concrete way to know and to promote certain issues through candidates...", responded Maximinius Servus when questioned later that day. "I think that Romans all over the Republic are excited, as am I, about these changes and look forward to an exciting upcoming election." It has also been said that to honor the different universities for their efforts in promoting their respective ideology and promoting the expansion of the electoral process the coat of arms of each university will be used to symbolize the different parties. Here are the following: University of Milan - The Federalist Party of Rome - ConservativeUniversity of Florence - Centrist Party of the Roman Republic - IndependentUniversity of Palermo - The Anti-Federalist Party of Rome - LiberalThese sweeping changes are being met with mixed feelings from abroad, for if a certain candidate should be elected then the course of events Rome is on now could drastically change. The PBC will keep you posted with the latest news and details...

New Leader! Well citizens of Canton Rouge, we have a new leader. Former Grand Moff Timothy Matthews stepped down from power. Not only did he hold democratic elections, but he also peacefully made Canton Rouge independent once again! In the presidential elections, Green Coalition member Marc Dentonine won the elections, ushering in a new era for Canton Rouge. Although Matthews ran for Senate and lost, he has taken it quite well, citing that 'the people have chosen a new face for this country.' The young Matthews will be attending the funeral of Protoan leader Saiedion Lucian, to kick off his world tour. After this, he will visit Spain, the United Kingdom and the SPQR for his European leg. Afterwards, he will head over to Stargate, Clamparaba, the C.S.A., and Nakarak for meetings with the leaders and speak to the crowds there. Afterwards, we aren't sure of, but we'll keep you updated. Finally, we wish to announce that in honor of the new nation, we interviewed Marc Dentonine to see how he feels about being the new president. CRIN: It is an honor to talk to the new president of Canton Rouge. M D: Likewise, an honor to be speaking to the free press of our nation. CRIN: So, any worries about your new position as president? M D: No, as a respected governor of Calais, I know how to be a good leader. And I hope I can lead Canton Rouge to a new future. CRIN: Excellent. Finally, any regrets over being suddenly thrust into this position? M D: Yes, but only because it was on short notice. Otherwise, I enjoyed being here as President. There you have it. We hope to bring you more news soon. This is Canton Rouge Internal Newsfeed, wishing you all a good day.

Socialist News Network"Hallo en welkom naar de Socialistische Nieuws...I'm Joris van Beek and here is the news... Today in the Soviet Congress, Premier Felix Hamrin decisively lost a vote of confidence and already things are beginning to move towards a change in government. The initial vote of confidence was brought about by one of Hamrin's fellow congressmen, in response to growing criticism by the Communists of the way Hamrin has governed the Union of the Socialist Soviets of Schiermannhoven. Hamrin has already dissolved Congress and national elections are scheduled to take place in three weeks time. While Hamrin enjoyed a high approval rating for most of his tenure recently, and probably due to the numerous radio and television ads, his numbers have been slipping. Along with the Premier's slide in approval is the Democratic Socialists' own slide in approval. Having enjoyed almost a two-to-one advantage in congressional seats the Democratic Socialists lost major ground to the Communists, who managed to gain a lot of seats in the Soviet Congress during the mid-term congressional elections. Bruce Cornwall, the congressman chosen to run for Premier as the Communist Party candidate, has already begun his campaign in earnest, broadcasting several advertisements throughout Schiermannhoven while also scheduling several television interviews, two of which will air on the Socialist News Network(SNN). Political correspondents here at the SNN believe that as many as 8 different candidates may try and run for Premier, that is if all the major parties run their own individual candidates which is not likely. What is more likely is that some parties will band together and run one candidate in order to try and stem the surge of support that the Communists have enjoyed recently... That's all for now...Dank je en Gauw tot ziens..."

New Election Year Kicks OffSeveral candidates now look to solidify their party's nominationOnly 6 months remain in Marcus Cicero's last term as Consul of the Senate and People of Rome and he has made it clear that he will not seek another term, although Roman law does not specify the number of terms a person may serve as either a Senator or Consul. Keeping this in mind, Consul Cicero has made it clear that his vice-consul, or Princeps Senatus, Richard Nixon has his full support in the upcoming primaries and general election, which will first-off decide the nominee of the three respective parties and then the Consul of the Roman Republic. Marcus Cicero's approval rating has only increased in the last several months of his remarkable term in office, having remained constant for some weeks at 93%, and now that he has essentially chosen another to lead the Federalist Party it is expected that Nixon already has solidified his nomination well before citizens go to vote for their parties nomination. In the other parties, however, the situation is a little different. Both the Anti-Federalist and Centrist Parties do not have their nominations already set, although Senator Maximinius Servus has gained considerable support within the party and has already jumped into the lead though this is only by preliminary polling. "The situation we have now is very interesting because we see that one party has already, in essence, decided who will represent them in the general election for the position of Consul. This is a great advantage because now they can concentrate their efforts at building a strong base of support for themselves, while we see that another party has not already come to that decision they are getting close.", states political correspondent Marco Galli of the PBC. "Meanwhile, we see that the third party has no idea who their going to nominate and rumors are circulating that as many as 6 people will run for the nomination...It's going to be very exciting to watch in the following weeks and months." The Senate controls 23 Provinces, all together making up the Republic, and the provinces of Greece, Malta, Crete, and Northern Morocco will initiate the electorate process next week with any person being able to receive any ballet they choose and subsequently vote for whomever they so choose. The PBC, as always, will keep you posted with the latest news and development from the campaign trail... In other news, the people of the United Socialist States of Schiermannhoven (USSS) have participated in their own elections, putting a large number of Communist Party members back into Congress and many more joining their ranks. Communist Party member and former Congressional Majority Leader Bruce Cornwall has been elected to become the new Premier of the USSS and, in his victory speech to thousands of supporters outside the Palace of the Soviets, he assured people that he would make the USSS "a power to reckon with...Not only in the North American continent but throughout the world." Reactions have not been forthcoming from international governments on the sweeping changes in Schiermannhoven but rested assured, we here at the PBC will make sure to question all the candidates running for Consul about Schiermannhoven. Also, Canton Rouge President Marc Dentonine has begun his world-wide diplomatic tour, which will eventually bring him to Rome where he will certainly meet Consul Cicero but he may also get a taste of the electoral process as, depending on when President Dentonine visits, he may witness the first election of a new Consul... These are sure to be exciting times and the PBC will be here 24/7 in order to bring you the latest on all things news...

Nomination set for Nixon, Maximinius and Crassus lead in respective racesAt the 2/3 mark of the primary voting season, in preparation for the general election three months from now, Richard M. Nixon has clinched his party's nomination for Consul as he swept through the Provincial Primaries with almost no opposition whatsoever. With the nomination being decided based on the total number of popular votes, Nixon leads "Undecided" by 300 million votes through yesterday's primary in the Province of Transalpine Gaul (Southern France). However, for the Anti-Federalists and Centrists the road to the nomination is much more nerve-racking as, in the case of the Anti-Federalist Party of Rome, Senator Maximinius only holds a 150,000 vote lead over Decius Julius, Governor of the Senatorial Province of Africa and member of the ancient noble Julii family line. Maximinius' lead is expected to increase however as the Provinces of Mauretania and Corsica vote tomorrow and the Senator has held a sizable lead in preliminary polling since the early weeks of this election season. For the Centrist Party, wealthy industrialist Marcus Crassus has nearly solidified his party's nomination, holding at this point a good 2 million vote lead, with voting occurring in Mauretania and Corsica tomorrow. While neither Crassus nor Maximinius enjoy the kind of support that Nixon currently does what is interesting is that despite receiving Cicero's direct support Nixon is not carrying all Provinces, as was earlier expected, in preliminary polling and this could make for a much more competitive election, rather than the cake-walk that many political correspondents were predicting. As always, the PBC will be here 24/7 in order to bring you the latest on all things news...
