The Wormhole opened, with another 3 Light Ships entering the sector. They sped towards the landing bays of Galileo Station and received clearance for docking. Commander Eric Valquez, Station Master of the Station, looked through the window of his office. A man of 43 years, the decorated military genius was uncomfortable as he witnessed the build-up of military ships.
The Alhazon-class Light Ships were the only ships capable of going 10,000x faster than the speed of light. With the discovery of "Heavy Light", ships were now able to go this fast, instead of the usual 10x with a Tachyon engine. Devastator-class Star Dreadnoughts, or DVTs, were also on their way, with their own support ships.
The build-up in security resulted from the recent attack on the incomplete Kepler Station, where 3 Light Ships proved themselves against a massive 15-ship attack force. The 3 defenders were ultimately destroyed, but not before the brave actions of Captain Susan Petts destroyed the lead attacking vessel. After ordering all hands to abandon ship, Petts had manually rammed her damaged vessel into the enemy command ship. The destruction of this ship forced the others to retreat and the Station was saved. Twenty-seven crewmen survived the attack and they recounted their Captain’s sacrifice at her memorial.
Valquez didn’t know Petts well. He did, however, know her first officer, Gregory Dwight, even before Terra had become embroiled in the Mamockian-Carissian crisis. The Carissians, a race of human-like creatures, discovered Terra while Humanity was still trying to build their first Light Drive. Though the pale-skinned aliens had been there for only a few days, they were influential in Terra’s formation of the United Terran Empire and the creation of the Milky Way Allegiance Treaty between them and the Carissians. The reptilian Mamockians, however, thought differently. Already at war with the Carissians, they attacked Terra. The Terran fleet, much more powerful than the Mamockians, pushed them back and forced a crushing blow on their new enemy. Now, with the journey into the Andromeda Galaxy through the Inter Galactic Wormhole, the first, intergalactic human colony (Galileo Station) was in danger of being attacked by the enemy “Lizards”.
Valquez looked out the window at the ships coming to the station and saw the Wormhole open yet again. A huge mammoth of a ship exited and moved towards the station. This was the DVT Tachyon and her force of 3 War Cruisers and 7 Corvatages. The 10,000+ km long ship could not fit into a landing bay so shuttles were sent to the station. The Commander left his office and went to the conference room to speak with the captains of the new arrivals. On his way, he found Captain Dwight and persuaded him to go to the meeting. They entered and sat down, ready for the captains to quickly introduce themselves, their ships, and their history…
OOC: This is the part where you guys introduce yourselves if you want. This is open roleplay, so you can be whatever character you want. I’m trying to make a totally new, futuristic RP that is original. Get involved, even if RP ain't your thing.

A gruff gentleman more or less of 50 years of age slowly entered the room, his eyes quickly disseminating everyone else, and sat down. Eventually the other captains had filed into the meeting room and once the first round of formalities had passed it was time for the captains to introduce themselves although the gentleman was sure that his reputation preceded him.
"My name is Fontaine Lefèbvre, Captain of the Madman...Pleasure to meet you all..." was the short introduction made by Captain Lefebvre as he quickly sat back down.
Captain Lefebvre's reputation had certainly preceded him as only one or two other captains appeared confused by the rather rude behavior, the other simply laughing to themselves or at the two confused captains. Lefebvre was an ol' chap, having at least 18 years on the next oldest captain besides Commander Valquez, but had always proven himself a cunning and shrewd leader. Having lost the interest of sharing his history and old battle stories with anyone else, even with the newer members of his own crew, it would take some time before anyone else besides Valquez knew what to make of Captain Lefebvre...

Another captain walked in, this one the youngest of them all at 27 years of age. No one was sure how he became a captain so young of the Nova, but there were stories about it. Some say he won the ship in a game of poker, others said it came from him winning a duel to the death against the previous commander. And some even said he simply bought it with the money from his wealthy family. But no matter what people said about him, Andreas Hermann was always quick to impress, and would never take failure for an answer.
He made his way over, and with a thick German accent, introduced himself: "The name is Hermann, Andreas Hermann. I am ze captain of ze Nova. It is an honor to meet you all..." He then proceeded to take a seat. He figured nobody would take a young man like him seriously, but he didn't mind. After all, all they would have to do was read the log to see all that he had done. Perhaps now, everyone would believe such a young gun like him. And if not, they would learn to trust him...

(OOC: I'm just going to do my own little thing, developing some SM storyline--that I can use sometime or another in the East too--also going into the story a little. Language Guide.) Captains Log: We have been exploring this new area of space for seven weeks now. It has been uneventful until yesterday. We detected a planet with a signature that resembled the "Lost Tribe," of Malaysian legend; naturally I ordered that we investigate. It was not the "Lost Tribe," but something worst. Legend tells us of a tribe that was exiled from Malay Prime long before the days of the Republic for their violent natures. We have discovered the Kur-Malaysians or if you go by the native language Kurus-Al'Zirr. We spoke to them but as soon as I said, "I'm Captain Raymond Henderson of the Federation of South Malaysia," things changed. They asked about our origin before saying who they where. I explain the relations between us and East Malaysia and added the fact that we where peaceful explorers. The man announced himself as Viceroy Kane Lore of the Kur Order. I knew instantly, we where in danger. "Kurus-Al'Zirr?" I asked in the native and the man responded in native; I was shocked. "Yesus, youus areus theus oneus thatus exiledus usus fromus Malayus Primeus agesus uponus agesus agous. Weus haveus neverus forgivenus ourus bloodus forus theirus shamefulus actionus!" "I didn't even respond. I knew they where dangerous, like the West Malaysians once where also that words wouldn't help us.... A.N.S. LanceBridge"Cut communications; Helm get us the hell out of here!" Henderson almost shouted as he sat in his seat. "I have ships on sensors, they are coming at us fast and hot," Chris Leigh said as he worked his console and looking over at Henderson. "Damn it. Red alert, all hands to battle stations. Commander Briggs report to the bridge," Henderson said looking over his small console. "Mr. Leigh, standby all weapons and prepare to fire." "Aye sir," Leigh spoke, as Commander Briggs come off the turbolift and on to the bridge. Looking over at her, Henderson spoke. We have discovered the Kur-Malaysians--isn't that our luck--and they aren't friendly at all." "Understood sir," Kt Briggs said as the ship was hit by weapons fire. "Fire phasers on the lead ship, standby photon torpedoes." Henderson yelled. "Shields down to 60%!" Leigh yelled as more weapons fire hit the ship, "They seem to have photon torpedoes that are on a rotating modulation that are draining our shields!" "Van," Briggs spoke to the operations officer, "put the shields on a modulation that can adapt to their weapons." "They are targeting the bridge," yelled Van Moore. "Fire all forward launchers! Full axis rotation of the shields and fire all ventral phasers!" the Captain yelled as the lights on the bridge dimmed. "We are passing the ring of asteroids, we can go to warp n..." Mary Scott spoke as her console exploded in front of her, killing her instantly. "Kt! Take the helm!" Henderson yelled, and she quickly went to the helm, "I am taking us out of here, warp five is the best I can do," Briggs spoke as the ship went to warp speed. "Damage report!" Henderson spoke as he got out of his chair. "We have damage on all decks. Hull breaches on..." Leigh was cut off by the computer. "Hull breach, Deck 1; Bridge. Emergency forcefields are inoperative on Decks 1-4," the emotionless female voice spoke. "Computer, transfer bridge controls to engineering; emergency evacuations of decks 1-4," Leigh spoke and the computer responded "Command authorization?" Leigh-Ranson-5-5-7-8-Echo. "Confirmed, evacuations in process," the Computer responded. Briggs quickly locked the helm on autopilot, "You heard the man! Everyone out! Lets move! Out, out, out!!!" she yelled. Everyone quickly got off the bridge and fled to engineering.
....the bridge will be ready for us to return and make some repairs within the next two hours as emergency forcefields will then be repaired. We have had to make sixty-eight course corrections to hide from the Kur Order's ships. They will no doubt find us once more but I'm confident that we can take on one ship. I have set a course for Galileo Station, the only outpost close enough for us to get some repairs done and some protection until we can get some more ships here from East Malaysia that can take on the Kur Order; South Malaysian ships are more knows for their non-combat capabilities. I'm sure we can end this dispute easily by then. Our communications are still down and will not be up until we get to the station. Now I must address the new moral of the ship. It is very low right now. We lost thirty-six men and women yesterday, including my helmsmen. So when we get to the station, I have to launch thirty-six good men and women into a nearby star. I am not looking for that time, but it comes with duty. I have already prepared letters for the families, they will be sent as soon as I am able to get a means of communications. End of Log: Captain Raymond Henderson of the A.N.S. Lance, Federation of South Malaysia.

".....Repeat, this is the Light Ship Katana. Respond, or we will find you hostile. We will have the DVT Tachyon open fire and rip you apart. Repeat, respond." A static-filled message erupted over the speakers. "....ont fir.....amag....many goo..............dead."
The Light Ship's Captain, James E. Jones, ordered the Tachyon to stand down and opened a channel with the beleagured ship. "This is the Katana. What has happened?"
Valquez stood up and began speaking. "My fellow officers. I have brought you here to speak about the recent attack on Kepler Station. My friend here, Captain Gregory Dwight, was defending that very station. If you have any questions, ask him. But right now let me speak." He produced a holo-remote and activated a projection of a Mamockian War Cruiser. "These ships are inbound. Our probes reported at least 20 of them are heading for the station. Unfortunately, the Rommel Military Station will not be ready for deployment for a few months. So I am asking you: will you all commit to defending this station?"
OOC: Just so everyone knows, I wanted the Light Ships to be named after different types of weapons, DVTs after subatomic particles, Civilian Stations after famous scientists, and Military Stations after Generals. If you don't, then that's fine. I'll change it.

A.N.S. Lance Bridge - Captain's Ready Room
"Kt, this ten week mission has turned into a disaster with two more weeks to go. We have powerful weaponry that can't make a dent into their ships. This is why I am going to request that we get a full upgrade when I get in contact with ANS Command; I might just go on and contact ASN Command instead." Captain Henderson said as he reviewed damage reports from all key departments.
"You're right Raymond, we need to be better stocked with weapons. They should have gave us a Eastrovia II Class starship. We have less than an hour before we reach the station and the Kur haven't caught up with us yet, but..." Kt was about to tell him about sensor readings when Lt. Commander Leigh came over the intercom.
"All hands to battle stations! Senior staff to the bridge," Leigh spoke and the klaxon's immediately went off. Raymond and Kt went to the bridge and directly to their chairs.
Bridge
"How many ships?" spoke Henderson over the alarms.
"One. Heavily armed ship. They are closing on us," Leigh spoke, "and shields are only at 85%, sir."
"How close are we to the station, Lt. Reid?"
"We are close to the system it is in, we can drop out of warp now and they would detect us," Reid spoke, as he adjusted the ships vector.
"As soon as we drop our from warp fire a full spread Mr. Leigh, and try to send a distress call Mr. More and Mr. Reid evasive maneuver Randy Loyd." the Captain spoke.
They all responded with, "Aye, sir."
"Alright, lets do it," Briggs spoke looking over at Raymond.
The Lance dropped out of warp to full impulse firing a full spread of photon torpedoes. The enemy ship started firing at the same time, battering the shields of the Lance.

Captain Andreas Hermann gave a smile, then commented, "Ja, we will help out with the defense. Whoever decided to attack here will surely regret it." He then turned to his radio, and prepped the Nova crew to be ready to defend the Galileo Station at his command.
"If you'll excuse me, I am off to the Nova to finalize battle orders, and ensure that I have enough supplies on hand." The young captain made his farewells, then returned to the docking bay where his ship was being prepared for the ensuring conflict. Andreas looked his ship over, and nodded, which meant that he was happy with what he saw. He was now ready for the impending battle...

"Sir! A ship has come out of Light Space and is engaging the ship! It appears to be a MK IV War Cruiser, Mamockian!"
Captain Jones looked out the window and saw the ship. Dark as space was, the ship was huge and visible. "Open fire, all guns, full cover!" The Mass Accelerators shunked and let their shells go. Travelling at 20,000 km/s, the shells hit the enemy ship, tearing holes in it and starting fires. The War Crusier still continued to fire at the other, already-damaged vessel as it attempted to get away. "Fire the beam weapon!" yelled Jones. A bright red flash suddenly appeared from the front hull of the Light Ship and tore a huge hole in the enemy ship's aft weapons array and shield grid. However, the beam weapon was inaccurate, with the Katana having to stop to fire.
The damaged ship was not out of the fight, though. It fired torpedos at the Cruiser, which impacted along the unprotected power core. The Lizard's ship suddenly froze, as if frozen in time, and 3.5 seconds later, exploded. (When a Light Drive is destroyed, it jettisons huge amounts of Tachyon particles, freezing the ship in time and space before blowing it to pieces.) The Katana rushed, at full sublight speed, to greet the unknown ship...

A.N.S. Lance Bridge
"They have been destroyed and we have a ship incoming to our location," Leigh said, "guessing from the way they attacked I believe they confused our attackers with someone that has been attacking this area."
Henderson stood up and looked around the dim lighted bridge that was dirty, "Stand down red alert. I would have to agree with you Mr. Leigh, but we can deal with that when they get here. Damage report?"
"Structural integrity is down to 47%. Deck nine has completely decompressed. We lost four when the deck blow out and one in engineering," Van Moore said as he pushed trash off of his console.
"Senior staff to the briefing room," Henderson said as he went to the briefing room to his left, with the senior staff following.

"Open a comm channel with that ship," Captain Jones ordered his comm officer.
"Open and ready, Sir."
Captain Jones stood up and looked at the viewer. "Transmit message: This Captain James E. Jones of the Alhazon-class Light Ship Katana. We are here as friends, not foes, and wish to ask about your business here in the Andromeda Galaxy. We are not asking this because we are suspicious, but because you may be able to assist in the removal of a dangerous threat to this region. Please respond."
An officer burst into the conference room and shouted out, "We have contacts! About 20-25 Alpha-1 War Cruisers!" The Commander was taken aback. The Alpha-1s, so called this because they were thought to be command vessels in Mamockian fleets, were much bigger than the standard War Cruiser. The A-1s were able to hold their own, and then some, against the UTE's DVTs. Klaxons suddenly sounded and Valquez stood up.
"My friends, I am sorry to cut this meeting short, but we need to get to our ships. I will be heading operations from here and directing the Station Guns to target the enemy. I guess you could say this is my own ship." He let the men out first, then headed to the operations room where he would coordinate the defense of the station. The DVTs and their fleets, along with the Light Ships, would be commanded by their respective captains, all wanting to sear some Lizard flesh. It was time to lay out the welcome carpet for their guests and Valquez didn't want to be late...
