OOC: Alright guys, this is something that I sort of wanted to do. It is a story about a terrorist organization (not Al Gedi) and a counter terrorist unit. I got this idea from Rainbow Six (although I haven't actually finished the book yet ). If you guys want in just pm me but I want to keep rpers to a minimum. I'm putting this in the Alternate Reality Section because it will not affect other things going on and vice versa. Also because it has some technology that won't be around for some years. It is basically a Near-Future Tech as opposed to a Far-Future Tech. I have noticed that some things here are not very popular, that is, not many people respond. At least with this one, I will update it. It is really a story about the First Response Infiltration Detachment... IC Adam Rapchev looked out the window of the helicopter. He was looking forward to working with the First Response Infiltration Detachment, or FRID. A native of Russia, he had moved to Clamparapa so that he could work with this elite unit. Inducted in 2030, FRID had been very top secret. Adam had only learned about it from his senior brass back in Russia who said he should join it. He thought Adam was more than qualified and Adam accepted. Now, in 2043, he was going to be introduced to this top secret and highly trained unit. The helicopter landed and he was met by a young woman. "My name is Jessica Stanton. You must be Adam, from Russia, right?" Adam nodded. The woman told him, "I'll be your guide around the complex. If you'll just follow me..."

"...And this is our shooting range," Jessica said, finishing off the tour. "By the way, you can call me Jesse." Adam looked at the range and immediately wanted to use it. Jesse just nodded and gave Adam a gun. "This is an H6-HAK pistol. It has auto-firing and single shot modes, is deadly accurate and very powerful. It only lacks in magazine capacity, with only 12 rounds." Jesse turned around and saluted the man who had walked up. "Sir! May I introduce Adam Rapchev, Russian special operations. Adam this is the commanding officer of this detachment, Captain Frank Goyens." The Captain said to Jesse, "We need you over in operations. I'll take it from here." Jesse saluted and left. The Captain picked up a HAK and started to load it. "I hear you need a challenge." For the first time since arriving, Adam spoke. "Yes, sir. Russian SpecOps is getting boring for me. I need some more excitement. I heard about FRID and decided to join." The Captain proceeded to fire some rounds at the target. Most missed but some hit the target. He laughed. "I can't hit the broad side of a barn. Maybe you're better." Adam lifted the gun and fired. The rounds hit with deadly accuracy. The Captain clapped Adam on the shoulder and congratulated him. "You see, we need more shooters like you." Suddenly, alarms went off. Adam looked around. "What's that?" he asked. "Terrorist attack. FRID is determined to stop these. Come on. Let's go to the Tac-Room." They walked to the planning room, not knowing what had happened...

Adawale Fletcher was rushing into the Tac-Room when Captain Goyens called him out.
"Fletcher! This is the new guy, Adam Rapchev. I want you two to be partners. Show him the ropes, and don't scare him off like you did to your last few partners!" The captain barked.
"This guy?" Fletcher was insulted. "Looks like a strong wind would whisk him away... How does he fire a gun without flying back ten feet?"
"I don't know how," the captain replied, "But not only does he stay up, he shoots almost as well as you do."
"Now, Cap, why are you going to say something that's just plain wrong? You've seen me in action. I can shoot ten terrorists with eight bullets!"
"I don't know what they do in Russian SpecOps, but if they keep it up, we might have to raid their staff," the captain patted Rapchev on the back, "We need as many like Adam as we can get!"
"Russian?" Fletcher spat on the ground at Rapchev's feet. "You're partnering me up with a Russian? You, of all people, know what my granddad went through!"
The Captain turned to Rapchev to exlain Fletcher's comment and calm him down. "Now, Adam, don't take that personally. Fletcher's granddad, like Fletcher himself at one point, was an MI6 agent. He spied on the Soviets during the Cold War. One of his fellow spies ratted him out and he was brutally tortured and executed." He turned back to Fletcher. "Now, this will be good for you. It should teach you a lesson in tolerance, Fletcher. I'll leave you to alone. Get to know each other. It's easier to trust your partner with your life if you know him." Captain patted them both on the shoulder and walked into the Tac-Room...

The three walked into the Tac-Room and saw people rushing around. They sat down in the auditorium-like room and waited for the briefing. A man stood up, apparently the briefing specialist, and started to speak. "27 minutes ago, Riefort Western University was taken over by terrorists. The police are on the scene, but are afraid that if they assault, hostages will die. Already, 56 people, that's both students and staff, have been killed. The others evacuated. There are about 47 people who are not accounted for, and are therefore considered to be hostages. There is an estimated 45 terrorists, although there may be significantly more. We need a team of 4 to go in and rescue those hostages." The Captain stood up. "I think that we should let the new kid go. This is Adam Rapchev. He is an amazing shot. I want him to get as much experiance as possible. Fletcher, you're going too. Show Adam the way it's done here at FRID. You'll lead the team, Fletcher. You need 2 more bodies, so we'll meet in the 'Equipment Shed' and we'll choose weapons and people there..."

Fletcher ran out with the Cap and Rapchev to the Equipment Shed. "Four versus forty-five, Cap? What kind of message does this show to terrorists?! Oh, kill fifty-six people, we'll only send four guys to stop you. This is ridiculous!"
"Fletcher you are leading this team, which means you need to keep your cool, or else you'll get everyone, including yourself, killed!" the Captain shot back.
They reached the Shed and Cap entered the Security Code. Fletcher never ceased to be amazed at the amount of weapons and armor they had in there. "Cap, approximately how much of this shit did we jack from terrorists?"
"None! This is all out of the pockets of the Clamparapan people."
"Okay, Cap, I'll interpret that as a robust 60%." Fletcher said while picking up a KORD 14.5 mm rifle, four rounds of ammo, and reinforced kevlar body armor. By now, the rest of the agents who were in the Tac-Room had arrived. Fletcher combed through all of them, eventually picking a menacing former CIA agent by the name of Carlos Sanchez, and a super-stealthy former member of the Tzahal named Yassar Broflovski. "Okay, you three. When we're in RWU, you do everything I say when I say it without question. Understood?" They all responded 'yes'. "Good, now choose your weapons and let's get out of here." He grabbed an FN-F2000 machine gun to compliment his rifle and rushed to the back of the FRID truck.
