PREAMBLE
WE, THE NATIONS OF THE REGION OF HYRULE, having solemnly resolved to constitute Hyrule and to secure to all its citizens:
NATIONAL SOVERIGNITY to govern their individual nation as they please
ESTABLISHMENT of a government to help secure Hyrule and its nations
and to promote among them all FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this 4th day of July, 2005, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.
PART I - Establishment of the Region and it's Symbols
Article I - Official Name of the Region
The offical name of Hyrule shall be the Region of Hyrule.
Article II - Supremacy of Law
This Constitution is the supreme law of the Region; law or conduct inconsistent with it is invalid, and the obligations imposed by it must be fulfilled.
Article III - Establishement of Anthem
The regional anthem of Hyrule is the title song of the video game Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Article IV - Establishment of Flag
The official flag of the Region of Hyrule shall be established as the following:
Article V - Establishment of Other Regional Symbols
The regional animal is hereby established as the dancing squirrel.
The regional flower is hereby established as the white lily.
The regional snack is hereby established as the twinkie.
The regional drink is hereby established as Chocolate Milk.
Article VI - Languages of Hyrule
There shall be no official language for the region of Hyrule. However, the primary language of communication throughout the region shall be English.
Article VII - Voting Limits
In all regional affairs and United Nations voting, all nations shall recieve one vote.
PART II - The Government of Hyrule
Article I - Delegacy
Section I
The delegate of the region shall serve a life term, unless if the delegate decides to leave the region, resigns, or is inactive. A delegate may also be ousted if the House of Members agree with a majority vote to remove the delegate from power.
Section II
If the delegate resigns or leaves the region, an election for a new delegate will be held immediately. If the delegate is inactive, an election will be held seven days after the last log-on of the delegate, or four days if the region is founderless.
Section III
To be eligible for delegate, one must be a native of Hyrule, or a former delegate of the region who is not an invader or defender, and, of course, has to be a member of the United Nations. One must also make a speech outlining their goals for the region.
Section IV
To elect a delegate, a poll will be held of nominated candidates. They will be nominated by posting them on a thread that suggests potential nomination. Then, a poll will be held. All nations are eligibile to vote. Once a delegate has chosen, nations will withdraw endorsements from the current delegate to the new one. When the next update occurs, they will become the new delegate.
Article II - Cabinet
Section I
Nations must post in the appropriate elections nomination thread if they want to be elected to a posistion.
Section II
Once that nation requests a posistion, there will be a one week waiting period. If he or she is the only nation that requests that posistion, then they will automatically get that spot and no election will be held. If two or more nations request cabinet posistions, then an election will be held.
Section III
An election for a cabinet posistion shall consist of all of the nations who requested it. All nations are required to make a serious speech to outline their goals. If the nation fails to comply to this rule within one week, they shall automatically forfeit the posistion. If an election only gets one vote or no speeches, it will be extended by one week
Section IV
Nations elected to the posistion shall serve a five-month term, excepting if they resign or are inactive.
Section V
If a nation is inactive (without the delegate not knowing beforehand) within ten days, leaves the region, or resigns, than that cabinet posistion becomes vacant. Nations can then claim that posistion. If two or more nations request a posistion, the regular election rules apply.
Section VI
The following cabinet posistions shall be established. More cabinet posistions may be added in the future via amendments to this constitution.
Subsection I
Secretary of State: The Secretary of State shall make a dossier of all allies, friendly regions, and enemies. Will also be in charge of appointing ambassadors to other regions, and will give advice to other cabinet members when it is needed.
Subsection II
Minister of Defense: Responsible for recieving intel on invader regions, and will inform the delegate, defender organizations, and friendly or allied regions about invasions or threats to regional security. Will also encourage nations to endorse whomever is the United Nations delegate.
Subsection III
Minister of Affairs: Will greet and show foreign ambassadors the forum. Will also be in charge of roleplaying-related things.
Subsection IV
Minister of Gifts and Friendliness: Will manage the gift list and send the gift list telegram to new nations. Will also be in charge of recruiting new nations to Hyrule and suggestions for the forum.
Article III - the House of Members
Section I
The House of Members shall be made up of all citizens of Hyrule. Each citizen shall get one vote each in regional affairs.
Section II
Every member of the HoM has the right to propose laws, amendments to this constitution, et cetera. If the law is serious in its goals and does not infringe on the soverignity of a nation, it shall go on for vote. If the majority of the people are in favour of a proposed law or amendment, than it will become official.
Article IV - Foreign Relations
Section I
If an foreign embassy is requested, and it follows the regional guidelines for setting up an embassy, It shall be voted on by the HoM.
Section II
If an alliance is requested by either party, a treaty shall be discussed with both regions. Once a draft is proposed, it shall go through a discussion process where each individual nation is allowed to discuss the document.
Once the respective parties have reached a conclusion, the alliance shall be made official.
Article V - Terms of Ejection
Section I
Nations may be ejected automatically for spamming the region or being a known spammer, causing grief, having an offensive nation name, being an invader who disrupts life in the region, or breaking official NationStates rules. All other nations may not be ejected for any reason whatsoever.
Article VI - United Nations Voting
Section I
When a new resolution reaches quorum, the delegate shall post it in the world factbook entery. Then, ALL citizens can vote on what they think of the proposal via telegramming the delegate, posting on these forums or the NS forums on our region page.
Section II
A day before voting ends on this proposal, the delegate shall cast his or her votes based on the opinion of the others. If there is a tie, then the delegate shall abstain from voting.
Voting
Section I
The voting time on anything brought to vote will be one week unless extended for a valid reason.
Section II
The voting times for an embassy will be 4-5 days
Ending
We wish to lead Hyrule into a prosperous region, and hope it will have a good future. We want to have a great time and not let outsiders disrupt us on what we think is best.
Amendment I of the Constitution of Hyrule
2005.01. Creation of an Army for the Defense of Hyrule and Allies
Section I
An army, called the Hyrulean Guard, shall be created for the defense of our region and other nations. This army shall also be merged with the Ministry of Defense.
Section II
This army shall be compromised of puppet nations in the UN. Note that if a nation wants to join this army they will have to resign their main or another UN nation and apply UN status to their puppet after one day.
Section III
The army shall be a hierarchy of four different ranks - the Commander in Chief (delegate), Field Marshall, General, and Soldier.
The Commander in Chief approves of military manoueveres, and can take over for the Field Marshall when away.
The Field Marshall is the head of the Army and will organize manoueveres of defense or training, and can take over when the Commander in Chief is away.
The two Generals will make sure the soldiers are executing the plans of the Field Marshall and Commander in Chief.
The soldier is a regular UN nation.
Section IV
When not on missions, the members of the Hyrulean Guard endorse the delegate to protect our own region.
Section V
When on missions, the members of the Guard shall do as told by the Commander in Chief, Field Marshall, or General.
NOTING that if any memebr of the Hyrulean Guard breaches the Statue of Secrecy, they will be trailed by the Grand Judge and will risk losing thier membership.
Amendment II of the Constitution of Hyrule
2005.02. Creation of a Judicial Branch

Title: The Judicial Branch
REALIZING that many governments cannot fully function without a Judicial Branch
REALIZING that this government cannot fully function without a Judicial Branch.
STATING that there should be one (1) Grand Judge, and four (4) Judges
NOTING that a new Jury shall be elected every case.
Further NOTING that government members must focus on their tasks, so this branch must be made.
Further NOTING that the Grand Judge, a judge or a member of the jury cannot take on a personal case and a replacement will be chosen to take their place.
SHOULD there be a case that a member of the jury, a judge, or the Grand Judge becomes attached to, they will be dropped from the case and a replacement will take their place.
AND there must be a guardian of the constitution to make sure that all citizens follow the sacred laws mandated in it.
