[/font][/b]Great Britain and Ireland Hits 200 Nations!
Great Britain and Ireland has hit the two hundred nations mark once again, thanks in large part of the efforts of the Home Secretary, Flake, who has set an extremely impressive personal example in recruiting new nations to the region.
Great Britain and Ireland has been over two hundred regions several times before but over the past few months a recruitment slump had seen the region stuck for some time in the mid 170s and mid 180s, which was below par. However, the appointment of Flake as Home Secretary has seen nation levels rise gradually over the past few weeks and the efforts of many other members of the region in the past few days has seen Great Britain and Ireland tip over the 200 nations mark once again.
The Prime Minister said the following of the event:
This is an important milestone for any region, and we in Great Britain and Ireland are extremely proud of the efforts of all, but of course the Home Secretary deserves special praise in this venture. With new nations coming to our region, it now becomes our job to naturalise them so that they can become active members of our community and I have full confidence in the Secretary of State for Cultural Affairs to be able to do that. We have a great deal more work to do though, and we shall not be stopping at 200 nations I can assure you.
This important milestone comes as the Secretary of State for Cultural Affairs has outlined a new 'Mentor' programme for new members, which shall allow them to be able to contact experience members of the region for advice as they begin their Nationstates career. The region however remains upbeat about the prospects for the coming weeks as new nations generates the more possibilities with new members to generate activity in the region and contribute towards an ever growing number of new projects.
