History of the Country
From the mists of time the Cymric have lived in the damp mystic mountains of Cymria. Constantly at raiding each others villages for cattle, sex and beer, The Cymric were never able to unite under a single prince. Agnostic and querolous they cut themselves off from their pious neighbours to the east.
In 1069 William-the-Anglo (Big nosed Billy) led an army of land-grabbing robber barons west over the Great Dyke (Mavies as was) and conquered the lands of the diaparate and dis-united tribes of the Cymricii. The Anglo barons built a large number of stone castles all around the Cymric to keep them from slipping out and making love to their wives, daughters, cattle and sheep. In 1391 led by Owain Glyn Dour (a most miserable lord) the Cymric became revolting. After defeating the Anglo army in battle Owain (who had declared himself a prince) suddenly vanished. To this day historians still puzzle over what happened to him, speculating he got an offer he couldn’t refuse. With Owain gone the Cymricci fell to in-fighting and once again found themselves ruled by the Anglo lords. In 1557 the County of Kernock was settled by Anglo-Baptist exiles and became English speaking. To this day it has remained openly hostile to Cymric language, culture and ambitions. It was in 1914 that the great Cymric politician and womaniser Dafydd Morgan-Lloyd led the United Anglo State to victory in the First Great War. After the War Donny Williams, one of Morgan-Lloyds numerous bastards, founded the Cymric Fydd- a nationalist party that aimed to bring about the country’s independence. Arrested as a spy during the Second Great War, Morgan-Lloyd escaped from prison and hid away in the Mountains of the Twll. He died of sheep dip poisoning in November 1943. The Cymric had to wait until 1993 when under the leadership of Prince Morgan ap Llewelyn independence from the Anglo state was finally granted. This followed a year of green glowing sheep the result of radiation from Chernobal and the mass burning of Anglo holiday cottages by the Cymric Free Army. Today the Principality is a free democratic country with an open door to the peoples of the world and a cynical desire to fleece them.
