Society
Ethnicities: 100% Nakaran (natives of Nakarak)
Religions: State supported religion, praising the gods for their sacrifice in creating man and returning the sacrifice in blood. Emphasizes the will of the gods over the needs of the individual. People of Nakarak are fanatically devoted to their faith, and infidels are sacrificed to the gods.
Economy: All needs are provided by the governemnt, accordng to class. Currency is exclusively for trade with outsiders, which is uncommon but not unheard of.
Society: The society of Nakarak is based almost entirely on class. Children are raised in a collective community, ignorant of their parents until their coming of age at the age of 16. The priests who manage these communties identify which class the children have an aptitude for, and at their coming of age, thier class is determined by the priests and set for life. After their coming of age, the new adults move into communal lodgings with others of their class, usually in their hometown. They are then ready to fulfill their duties as productive citizens.
The most exclusive class is the priest class, the Danaka, the Voice of the Gods. Members of this class manage the religious affairs of Nakarak, as well as education. The High Priest, or Danakar, is the leader of the Danaka class and a very influential advisor to the Nakar.
Another exclusive class is the Dumaka class, the Hands of the Gods. They are the bureaucrats of Nakarak, managing the day to day affairs of the government, such as the country's budget. They also encompass Nakarak's legendary intelligence service, one of the best in the world. The Dumakar, leader of the Dumaka class, is in charge of this infamous spy network.
Another critical class is the Tanaka class, the Eyes of the Gods, the scientists of Nakarak. It is their job to develop all of the technology of Nakarak. They are most famous for their stunning success with their synthesized food supply, which feeds the entire country, as well as their firethrowers, vehicle weapons that shoot a stream of molten rock that has been seen to melt tank armor like wax. They have yet, however, to develop an effective ranged infantry weapon, with conventional firearms being forbidden by the Nakaran religion. They are led by the Tanakar, a master scientist of great reputation.
Another important class is the Kanaka class, the Teeth of the Gods. The Kanaka are Nakarak's warriors, and form a substantial part of the population, around 20%. Nakarak's warriors are feared on the battlefield, with a reputation as ruthless fanatics, fearing no foe, no matter how numerous or powerful. They fight like madmen, cleaving through enemy ranks. Their body armor is flexible and effective, better than Kevlar for deflecting bullets. Their weapons are equally lethal, with each warrior carrying a nearly indestructible sword and several pouches of explosive firejelly. They carry no guns, however, as the use of guns violates the Nakaran principle that a warrior should kill his foe in personal combat as a sacrifice to the gods. The Kanakar leads Nakarak in war, and is usually a renowned veteran warrior.
The last class, encompassing about half of the population, is the Duna class, the Feet of the Gods. They are the workers, doing the manual labor required in the factories and the cities. They are the lowest class, but are treated with a small measure of respect for doing their duty to the gods. The Duna have no leader, and are managed by the Dumaka class.

History
Nakarak was united as one nation more than five hundred years ago, after the great leader Dunama Nakana conquered the smaller tribes and became the first Nakar. The gods had revealed their favor to Nakarak around this time, leading the warriors of Nakana to glory and honor. Nakana's reign was a time of prosperity and conquest, with the warriors of Nakarak feared even now for their ferocity and reckless disregard for their own lives. After the fall of Nakana, Nakarak slowly lost the lands it had conquered, shrinking back to its present size. Several rulers tried to slow this process, but eventually one rose who could return Nakarak to its former glory. That one was Nakar Kor.
Kor was a meber of the Kanaka class, a feared warrior and great general. At the time when he came to power, Nakarak was finally secure in its strength and ready to become a great power once more. Guided by their faith, the people of Nakarak were poised to become the greatest nation the world had ever seen.
Military
The Nakaran warriors are armed with finely crafted steel swords and explosive firejelly, similar in effect to grenades. This firejelly is a combination of extracts from several plants native only to Nakarak. Tanaka scientists have recently perfected the use of slings and trebuchets to deliver firejelly bombs with lethal effect. This has considerably improved Nakarak's effectiveness with ranged infantry and in repelling invaders.
