GEOGRAPHY
Regions of the Kingdom and Flags:
The United Kingdom of the Atlantico was composed of former countries, so there was 4 regions corresponding to those countries: Atlantico Norte, Macarronesia, Atlantico Sul and Lusoiberia. After 10 years of integration, and with the reforms that changed the country after the death of King Marcus Primus, the smaller regions were merged into the bigger ones resulting "Metropolitan Areas" and actually instead of 4 regions there are only two Metropolitan Areas, Atlantico Norte (where is located the bigger city and capital with the same name of the M.A.. This city results from the merging of Lisban (Liczbahn), Los Lagos and Alliuria) and Macarronesia (where the bigger city also shares the same name of the M.A. and results from the merging of Tanubai, Conimbriga and Safos). The nation was then called Kingdom of Atlantis.
After the dead of King Miguel I, King Bruno II decided with the government that the Metropolitan Areas were not effective, and the name Kingdom of Atlantis was not making any sense because there was now only a big nation and not a mix of 4 nations like it was before. So Atlantico Norte headed for a Regionalization and De-centralization of the services so the had the same ammount of ministries. The regions got it's old names; Atlantico Norte, Macarronesia, Lusoiberia, Atlantico Sul. Beside this Regionalization efforts, Atlantico Norte had another problem, how to deal with the newfound lands found during it's expansion campagins? The answer was to create Autonomous Regions and have it's own Regional Senate where the the national laws are changed to meet the local especificities. So after a law pass on the National Senate (where all the Regions and Autonomous Regions are represented), the law is discussed on the Regional Senate of each Autonomous Region and if the law needs any change, the Regional Senate makes an change proposal and send to the Constitutional Bureau to see if that change can be passed or if it is anti-constitutional. Even tough the Royal Decretes cannot be changed and are the same in all Regions and Autonomous Regions. The representatives from the Regional Senates (1 form each Autonomous Region) form the Council of Atlantis and together with the representatives of the Atlantico Norte 5 Regions form the Atlantico Norte Council.
The actual ruler King Miguel III decided not to change anything related to how regions work because he felt that there was no need.

The Socialist Party and the Liberal Party decided not to form any post-elections alliances due to problems between the two parties leaders, and king was forced to dissolve the parliament and ask for a 2nd term of elections allowing the parties to form pre-elections alliances up to three parties (normally only post-elections alliances are allowed).
