Hello everyone in Hyrule and thank you for this plush new embassy. We have established an Hyrulian embassy on the ASE forum (http://s3.invisionfree.com/euroislanders).
I'm here as the ambassador I guess, so I'll begin by telling you something about me.
My UN nation is Ancient Sparta and I'm a soldier in the army of the ASE, the Red Guardians, which are under the command of Xha'dam, the elected Strategos Nemonos and under the command of EuroSoviets in his role as Commander of the RLAF. We had two missions just this morning, one to keep Cameroon safe from some invaders and the other in Warzone Airspace to send Carinthe's goons to the Rejected Realms. The ASE is a defender regions so you'll find us active at update quite a lot.
I don't have much time but when I come back I'll be able to say more about ASE government and we can talk about an alliance.

Right, I have more time now.
The region 'Allied States of EuroIslanders' is and was the first ever and still remains the only direct participatory democracy in NationStates. The Charter of the ASE lays forth the actual structures of governance including the Assembly of Allied States, which is the supreme authority of the alliance and has as its membership every member-state that is active within the region. As befits the spirit of direct democracy, we have no position holders except those determined by the mechanics of NS (i.e. a founder and delegate) and neither of those positions hold any constitutional authority except by the leave of the Assembly of Allied States. All decisions are made in common, by consensus and voting.
As I mentioned earlier we are defenders, part of the Red Liberty Alliance where many of our members hold key positions and are extremely active in the global NS community. We have long been on the lookout for allies capable of helping us in times of need and who would benefit from alliance with our region. Any possible alliance will, I hope, include military clauses, intelligence sharing clauses, political co-operation clauses and will lay out the basis of our diplomatic relationship. Whilst we're sorting that out I'd like to get to know the active members of the region, so do any of you use AIM or Messenger?

Are there any questions I can answer about the ASE for members here?
