OOC: Well...I guess this is my re-introduction into the Hyrule RP World ) "President Metz, now is the time to go on stage..." "Ah Yes, thank you." President Gavin Metz, the Leader of Spain took a few steps, stopped for a deep breath, and then opened the red curtain as he stepped to the podium. "Hello my fellow citizens! I am happy to see you all here today, in my old age and well being. I am very glad to announce, that although our nation has not been involved in international politics, we have 'renovated' our own country, and are now much better off than we have ever been before. Our entire country has become more efficient with our transportation system and roadways being upgraded and rebuilt. Our airways ave reconfigured their travels in order to be quicker and more cost efficient and our beautiful countryside has become a much more magnificent place to see. With all of this having happened, I feel that it is necisarry with everyhing still going on around us, to re-enter the worlds political roller coaster, and try to help other nations once again. From now on, our nation shall take on an expansionist/Democratic approach to the world! Now that we are stronger than ever, I feel that democracy shall spread, and we can enlighten the people of the world once again!" With that the people screamed in joy, and streamers of red and yellow fell from the sky onto the crowd below. Spain was a power in the world once again....

Announcement from Canton Rouge Troops from the 3rd Gendarmerie, once assigned to patrolling the rugged frontier border of 7 miles between the Canton Rouge and Spanish border, have now been extracted, citing the return of order to Spain after the collapse of Roman rule there previously, and where the 3rd Gendarmerie was tasked to protect the border from potential threats. This was marked by the removal of the lone border station up the road to the summit of the Col de la Pierre St. Martin, whose summit is shared by both Canton Rouge and Spain. Following the removal, people took the time to cross over, seeing the change of the area. In addition, President Mac Dentonnine has praised President Gavin Metz for returning the country to normal, and hopes to re-establish ties with his southern neighbor. We will update you as more details roll in.

General St. Louis listens to this over the news station on his television set. He has tried two or three times over the past few years to try to dabble in international politics and become the friends of others but to no avail.
He knows though that it's about time for another try. He sits at his computer and sends a message to President Gavin Metz:
President Gavin Metz: I am High General Ethan St. Louis. For a while I have been secluded in the deep southern part of this world, away from everyone else. I would like to try to make connections to the world beyond Starman Deluxe. If you are willing to help us we will be very thankful and help you with whatever dilemma you may face.
Hopefully this can be the start of a strong alliance!
Sincerely, Ethan St. Louis High General of Starman Deluxe

Dear President Mac Dentonnine,
I, President Gavin Metz, was wondering if I may travel to your nation in order to discuss some politics. I am afraid that I already have a prior engagement with the Leaders of Porcu, however I would like to travel to your nation afterwards, in an attempt to have a 'world tour' where I can try to establish healthy relations with other nations. Please let me know if this is possible.
Thanks again, President Gavin Metz
=============================================================
Dear Ethan St. louis,
Our president, Gavin Metz, would like to ask for permission to travel to Starman Deluxe after his discussions with Porcu and possibly Canton Rouge. He is willing and hoping to discuss matters of international politics such as trade and diplomacy, and anything else you wish to discuss. Please inform us if our President will be able to make a trip to your country during his 'world tour of Peace and Prosperity'
Yours Trully, The Government of Spain

OOC: You do know I've gone back to totalitarianism again right? Don't worry...I'll play nice this time around IC: Decorations were still being hustled back and forth in the Duce's palace. The relatively short reign of the Roman Republic and the Senate was a blessing for Duce Archimedes who thanked God that the Senate didn't have enough time to go through and destroy whatever remained within the Duce's palace, the former residence of Benito Mussolini the renowned dictator of Porcu who incredibly managed to maintain his grip on power and yet truely be loved by the people. Even so long after his death he is still spoken of fondly to this day. But today was not a day to celebrate Porcu's leaders of old. Today was a day to mark the beginning of another Golden Age for Porcu. Many average citizens believed that the return to Mussolini's line of totalitarianism was something necessary for the country. Years of rule under the Senate had nearly corrupted the economy to the point of collapse. Domestic and foreign policy had become a joke comedians could make fun of nightly. Most of all, Porcuians felt their world image fall and deteriorate; they are a proud people and Archimedes would show them the way like Mussolini had done before him. The final touches were being made, Rome International Airport had already set up an area for President Metz, and the streets were being cleaned in preparation for the Duce's car ride to the airport and then back to the palace. Rome had awoken...

OOC: I know, but I can still try to make a peace treaty or something that can end hostilities between us. Im not expecting to make an alliance necisarrily, merely give us something to RP and do with our nations that will mix it up a little bit I guess. Ill post later though, im short on time.
EDIT:
IC:
President Metz was doing some last minute packing for the long voyage ahead of him. He had a few assistants running around behind him prodding him with what seemed to be irrelevent questions at the time.
Assistant one "Mr. President, you do have a belt?" "Yes."
Assistant two"Mr. President, The plane is ready for you" "Good, I'm sure it will still wait on me."
Ect. ect.
The President then opened his closet, and grabbed another suit, and threw it into one assistants hands. "Go and put that on the plane." He then handed a briefcase, which he knew was empty to another assistsnt. "Go and put that with the suit."
"Mr. President, this is empty!"
"I know it is. Its not going to be used other than to get you to leave me alone!" He then turned to the others standing around.
"Anyone else think they can carry something??" He said with a smile, as the rest of the people left the room.
Now that he had some peace and quite, he grabbed a cup of coffee, and read a book for fifteen minutes. Whilst hearing the alarm go off, he stood up and left the room to head for the plane.
========================================= OOC: IN order to speed things up a bit...
IC: The Plane ride was a short one to the neighboring nation of Porcu. The President was ready for his first stop on his 'World Tour of Peace and Prosperity' but had been reminded several times that Porcu was totalitarian, and not necisarrily a potential ally. Never-the-less, President Metz was excited to let it all begin.
He looked out the plane window, just as it started to skid along the runway. He wondered what Porcu would have in store for him....

The splendor of Rome and the countryside of Porcu always proves overwhelming to new statesmen and delegates when they first travel to one of Europe's oldest, strongest, and most cultured nations. Despite several changes in government throughout their long history the Porcuian people have always proved to be a resilient bunch, ever independent and stubborn they have continued to make Porcu one of the world's premier powers even during times of anarchy.
Rome: the new and the old wonderfully combined to produce a city like no other in the world. Ancient relics dotting the landscape standing next to large corporate buildings and surrounded by buildings put up during Mussolini's reign which mirrored ancient Roman architecture. Now, as President Metz made his way into Rome International Airport he would find a large gathering next to where his private jet would taxi over to. The leaders of Porcu were always keen on sending a good first impression and newer delegates never forgot their reception into Rome, older delegates frequently reminiscing about their first time whenever they returned to the Heart of Europe. Even in this new day and age the old saying remained true and unchanged: All roads lead to Rome.
Duce Archimedes stood off to the side of the area where President Metz's plane would stop. Sharply dressed soldiers stood silently next to the ramp which Metz would use to descend from his plane and once his plane did arrive and halted they immediately stood in attention. Scores of journalists and reporters jocked for the best position to take photos of another historical moment in the histories of Spain and Porcu.
A red carpet awaited the Spanish President and a few meters after that awaited Duce Archimedes. A slight wind blew in from the East as President Metz began his descent, eventually making his way into a professional embrace with Archimedes.
"Welcome, Mr. President! An honor to host you and the rest of your delegation. I pleasant flight I assume?"

President Metz was astonishd at the class shown by the recepion of him and his guests. The nation was very beautiful, and the sayings of its old beaty rang true with every glance around.
When he had finally arrived to see the man he wanted to, he was even more exstatic. With camaras flashing constantly, he made his way, smiling blindly, over to the president.
"Hello Duce Archimedes. I am honored to be in your presense."
He stuck his hand out for a firm shake, hoping to prove himself a strong man....

Although Archimedes was not Mussolini he did respect a good, solid handshake and felt he knew who he was dealing with by that simply gesture. President Metz proved to be someone he felt he could work with, not necessarily buddy-up with but work with. It was a priority for both men to restart relations between their countries, especially after some tough years of Senate occupation.
"Please follow me this way..." Duce Archimedes said sending his guest in front of him and down towards a limo that awaited both leaders at the end of the carpet runway. An assistant held open the door while both men climbed in and closed it to the sound of soldiers clipping their shoes together for a final salute. It would be a ten minute drive through Rome to the Duce's palace.
"I wish to make it immediately clear Mr. President that Porcu and Spain have much to offer each other. Besides for some reconciliatory actions I hope to be taken by both our nations I also hoped to have in hand some trade agreements and possibly other things by the end of the day...Is there anything specific you look to gain from today's encounter?"

President Metz found Duce Archimedes to be a verydiplomatic person. He liked how he was straight forward and to the point, but was not rude or blunt. He wondered if he could get that way though. President Metz decided it was best not to find out.
"Well, to answer you question, I was hoping to just rekindle our relations, in hopes that no war or conflicts would arise in the future. I was also looking to start this by some trade agreements, and perhaps lowering tariffs so that trade would be stimulated by eachothers economies. I fear that a small hatred has arisen for eachothers people, and that if there isnt going to be a special benefit, nothing will happen with trade as the people will seek other nations. Your nation has a lot to offer as well. Pehaps some of your businesses would like to start to come into Spain, and visa-versa. This would enable our major companies to gain more money, and more ideas as they experiance different peoples and cultures. Lastly, I was hoping to try to set up a program where our country would pay for some of your citizens to go to a new territory that I am looking to grab in the future. I am going to try to make a colony in Africa, and I was thinking that perhaps somehow, we could combine our two nations governments, cultures, rulers, and everything else, in order to create a territory controlled by two nations. This has not been done by anyone yet, but I think that the two of us would both benefit by this."
After he stopped talking, he looked out the window at the city itself, and studied its people and architecture, something that he was always interested in for some reason...
