To: Head of State, Clamparapa From: Peter Van Kraf
Subject: Requesting clearance for Target 'Eric Dimitrov'
It has come to my attention that a man you are looking for, Eric Dimitrov, is within the area awaiting an arms shipment soon. Seeing as I am the closest one in the region, I would like authorization to neutralize this threat before he becomes a threat to the security of Hyrule.
Yours, Peter Van Kraf
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unknown, potentially Europe
Peter noted that it would take a while for the e-mail sent via PDA to make it's way through the bureaucratic red tape in order to receive the ok for the operation, but for him, it was better than nothing. After all, in the Canton Rouge Army, they had been limited by accurate intelligence on when to raid someone. And it was more known in the special forces. But as a mercenary, any lead for him was good enough. And he knew all too well that while other armies would wait and thus lose out on a chance to capture hostiles, he would do whatever to stop evil in its tracks. Whether it was solo or with others didn't matter. He just wanted to get out into the field...
Dear Mr. Van Kraf,
You have our authorization to locate and acquire target "Eric Dimitrov". You are allowed within our borders but assistance from our country will not be given.
Clamparapan CIA Director Horatio Kaan
After a nice shower from her exercise, Melissa Cortez dried her hair and listened to her messages. The most recent one was from her helo pilot, John. There was a new list of bounties, so she accessed her computer and downloaded the encrypted file. A drug trafficker, and a notorious one at that, was meeting with an arms dealer, Eric Dimitrov. The drug lord was Frederic DeFlores. She had a personal grudge against all drug traffickers and they were her targets of choice. This Dimitrov was an added bonus. The Clamparapan would be waiting with DeFlores for the shipment and she would need all her skills to get him. Checking her KSVK, she saw that it was in good condition and sent an e-mail to the Canton Rouge Government.
To who it may concern in the Canton Rouge Government There is an apparent drug trafficker that you have not had the pleasure in incarcerating. If you will have it, I would like to take the opportunity to get the man for you. Venus Unaffiliated
To Venus,
The Canton Rouge government has authorized your target. We hope that with his removal, drug trafficking in the region will decrease with your help. Because of current procedures, no aid will be sent. Best of luck.
Canton Rouge CIA director Jules Wladern --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter couldn't help but smile. Knowing that the Clamparapans allowed him to exterminate a pest on their land was something he couldn't help but smile at. Although the prospect of no support made him a little angry, it ensured that he wouldn't have to deal with friendly fire from others. And who knows, maybe there would be other targets with him, giving him a nice day of work.
After instructing his helicopter to land, he said to his pilot, "Take off, and head to Clamparapa. I need to get some intelligence on this man I'm hunting."
"Affirmative," she responded, with a thick French accent. Peter couldn't help but laugh at the pilot, who he had met at basic training, and struck a friendship up with her. And while she went off to flight school, Peter stayed with the army, moved onto spec ops, and finally, arrived as a mercenary. After the helicopter took off, he checked his PDA and saw that there was a new message. It was from the Canton Rouge CIA, who apparently got word of his operation. At least, the message indicated that Eric Dimitrov was operating just inside the border, at a small town along the main highway running through the country. This was a big break for Peter, as that made his job easier... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Later....
The helicopter finally landed inside the small town, and Peter took the time to thank the pilot. After she took off, Peter took the time to scout out the town, and noticed that the only viable place where this meeting would take place was in the large two story building, an old abandoned warehouse. And, to his surprise, it was empty save for a few crates, making grenades much more usable. He smiled, and after touring the factory, began setting up operations.
First, he remembered that he would need to remove any forms of transportation the enemy could use, so he took the time to cut the wires and drain the oil from the nearby cars. He figured the owners wouldn't mind so much. After all, nobody really lived in the town, as it was deserted in the past border wars between the Clamparapans and the Russians. Afterwards, he set out for the nearest overwatch position, another two story building across from the warehouse, except this was a storefront with a loft upstairs. A perfect place to watch over the arriving target, and get him in the midst of his meeting...
Putting on her Dragon Skin, Cortez checked her e-mails. Finding the confirmation message, she printed it off, folded it up, and put it into her pocket. She hated carrying around a knapsack.
As she left her apartment, she tied her jet-black hair into a tight bun. No need in getting hair in her eyes. Meeting John at the lift-off zone, she took off and slept for about 3 hours while they made their way to the LZ. "Hmmm," John said. "Another chopper was in the area. I picked it up leaving on the radar." Cortez nodded and checked her weapons. All were in good condition.
When they landed, John told her she had 24 hours before he would pick her up. She waved and the chopper lifted off. Entering the town she set up shop in a small, abandoned motel across from the target's known residence. She could see guards outside and knew she couldn't rush in. She began formulating a plan. Stripping down to her undershirt but leaving her pants on, she exitted the building and walked straight towards the building. The guards stopped and whistled as she approached.
"Where can I find your leader, honey?" she asked a guard. "I only go for the big guys but maybe I'll have some left for you." The man swallowed and let her in. "Thanks baby. Maybe I'll have some fun before I leave." She entered the building with the guards commenting on her "looks"...
As Peter was maintaining overwatch on the target building, he noticed another helicopter land and take off again. Judging by the design of the helicopter, and the brief amount of time it spent on the ground, he figured it might be another mercenary at work. But seeing it land far away meant that there might be another target in the region. But he figured that unless the time spent with this hostile was shortened, he might as well ignore the other target for now.
Turning back to the building, he noticed that a small convoy of three old Soviet-era civilian coupes had made their way to the building. Out of the middle one was Eric Dimitrov, flanked by eight of his personal guards. Then came a truck, occupied by a different faction. From the truck, Peter counted seven gangsters exiting, with two of them providing outdoor security. Peter liked the odds with this. he figured all he had to do was snipe the two guards, grenade the building, then eliminate all but Eric, then capture him. A great plan he concurred.
Peter waited for the two guards to be in line with each other, which occured when one of them argued about the purpose of the meeting to the other. He then fired his silenced PSG-1, and eliminated two birds with one stone. He then quickly exited his overwatch position and ran towards the warehouse, where he tossed in two stun grenades. But when he rushed in, he found most of the inhabitants reeling from the stun grenade impact. He therefore wasted no time in using his pistol to drop most of the inhabitants, but somehow, Eric managed to slip away out of the building, and into the town.
Peter swore, and took the time to grab a submachine gun dropped from one of the hostiles, then began to gave chase. As Eric ran off on foot, Peter fired at him, hoping to slow him down. But his shots missed Eric, and was able to continue running. Meanwhile, Peter was getting angrier at this man being able to escape, and was even more so when he still ran. But finally, Peter got lucky, and nailed him in the lower left leg, slowing him down considerably. This allowed Peter to catch up to Eric, and force him to the ground.
After forcing him down, he radioed in, "Natasha, land at my coordinates. I have Eric Dimitrov captured. But I'm not boarding, there might be another person in this abandoned dump." She confirmed this, and Peter turned to his captured target. He told him, "Be lucky you only had to deal with me. Had you come face to face with the army, you'd be dead by now." Eric just spat at him, and in response, Peter rifle butted him, causing Eric to feel more pain. Then, his helicopter finally landed, and after tying Eric up to the helicopter, he sent his pilot off, and Peter went out hunting again. He knew there would probably be another person in town based on another mercenary arriving, but where?
"Liam Wells! Wells! How dare you put him on that list without contacting me first! I don't want an excuse, I don't need one, because if Redline was doing its job, it would have contacted one of the best it has. Me. I am getting a target that is rightfully mine. The Black Rose, out."
Rose Greenleigh, calmly set down the phone without breaking it, and went over to her computer and typed in her targets name.
"L, I, A, M, space, W, E, L, L, S," she spoke out loud to herself as she typed. The computer searched for a several seconds before his profile came up. She leaned forward and seen the last known location and reconfirmed the reason for being wanted.
"Well Mr. Wells, looks like me and you have a wonderful date coming up hopefully sometime soon," she smiled and started to pack her things.
The guard let "Venus" in to the room. She waved to him and turned to look at Frederic DeFlores. The man in front of her was a stupid, careless pig. However, she knew what she had to do. "Let me see what I can do to calm your nerves, baby," she told him. The man grinned. She went around behind him and said, "Let me message your back before we get started." Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulled it loose with a sickening crack. He gasped for a few seconds and died. Taking a camera, she photographed the scene and exited.
The guard, suspicious at her early leave demanded an explanation. She responded by plunging a huge blade in his throat. He gurgled and keeled over. As she left, a guard screamed that their boss had been killed. Seeing blood on her, the guard put two and two together and opened fire. She was hit in the shoulder, but she managed to make it to an alleyway, bleeding profusely...
Dear Canton Rouge Government
Regarding "Gregory Xerxes"
As ex-secret agent for Lesser Alderain during the "Inbetween Cold and Cool War" (Press released my status because some idiot in the agency got drunk and started blurting out our secrets), I believe that I am the best man for the job. My intelligence has already revealed a few water routes for slave trade, so I'll start there.
From ex-agent 09839502, a.k.a. Athen Morbone
To 09839502, a.k.a. Athen Morbone,
Your request for target 'Gregory Xerxes' has been approved by the government. Be advised that no support will be sent in due to the low priority of this target.
Canton Rouge CIA director Jules Wladern
Peter heard the sounds of the gunfire, and figured that it must be either the target shooting at someone, or another celebratory gunfire, but to be safe, he decided to check it out. What he saw was a guard hunting for someone, complaining that 'the killer' had left the scene, but also left a blood trail.
He figured that this killer was the one who probably attacked another bounty, except her escape plan didn't go as planned. So, he figured he might as well beat the guards to this killer, after all, she could have intelligence on other targets, or just be another victim to his pistol. So without hesitation, he opened fire on the guard with whatever ammunition remained in the submachinegun, eliminating him quickly, and effictively.
He then followed this blood trail to where he saw a female clutching her shoulder, with the red liquid of blood ushing down from the injury. Not knowing better, he grabbed a strip of cloth that served as a tourniquet from his backpack, and offered it to the woman. He said, "If you're smart, you won't kill me because right now, I'm trying to ensure you don't bleed to death."
When Athen got the message he had already infiltrated a slave ship disguised as a slave. He never did like waiting for confirmation so long as the government didn't find out. Because he was a "slave", he had no equipment. He was edging his way towards the back of the ship...
Shoving the man away, she drew her .50 cal Magnum and pointed it at him. Although the pain was great, she could handle it. "Don't touch me. I'll heal my own wound." Suddenly, she saw a glint from a window and saw the missile before it was fired. Grabbing the other merc, she pulled him out of the way as the missile exploded beside them. Getting up, she ran back to her mounted KSVK on the second-floor of the nearby building.
Looking through the scope, she saw the man with the RPG. "I got you, you bastard." She fired a single round, which went through the wall, through the man's face, through the adjoining wall, and landed on the floor in the next room. "Noone can hide from Ivan."
Seeing the other merc at the entrance to the room, she turned the gun and pointed it at him. "I know you think I'm just a weak little girl, but Ivan here will punch a 4-foot hole in your face. Now you will let me go, not even intending to follow. My chopper will be here in 30 minutes. If you even follow me, I'll make sure you have a nice chat with my business partner here." Leaving the building, and making sure the amateur wasn't following her, she ran, painfully clutching her shoulder...
When Athen finally made it to the back, he easily and soundlessly took out the only gaurd back there and stabbed the fuel tank with the gaurds knife. He put the knife back and put a bottle of beer in his hand so that everyone, including the gaurd, would think he just got drunk.
When the captain noticed their fuel was getting low, he had to decide on a location to refuel. The only place near enough was headquarters, just as Athen had planned.
Xerxes had better be ready.
Peter couldn't help but laugh at the other mercenary telling him off. Perhaps the amateur was herself, as she probably didn't have the discipline gained from being a special forces member as he did. Nevertheless, he reasoned that she had probably killed the other target in the area, and not wanting to get caught, radioed in his pilot Natasha to his location so they could hunt another target.
After Natasha landed the helicopter on the nearby street, and putting himself inside, he pulled out his PDA and saw that there were still more Clamparapan targets needed to be dealt with. The one that caught his attention was on Trevor Morrow. He figured that he would be a nice target to go after, so long as he got authorization of course. So he scribed out another message to the Clamparapans:
To: Head of State, Clamparapa From: Peter Van Kraf
Subject: Requesting clearance for Target 'Trevor Morrow'
Your bounty on Eric Dimitrov has been fufilled with a live capture. We will be dropping him off in a nearby town. Meanwhile, I am requesting permission to track and eliminate Trevor Morrow, with your permission of course.
Yours, Peter Van Kraf
After sending his message, Peter took the time to look up the dossier on Trevor Morrow, and noted two things. First, he had holed himself up recently in a mine, making it one way in, one way out. And second, he was extremely paranoid of others, which Peter saw as an advantage. If he could psych out Trevor, it would make his job so much easier. With a smile, he ordered Natasha to take off and head over to the nearby town that wasn't abandoned, so as to drop off their cargo. Then, they would be off to hunt down this drug trafficker and eliminate him...
