Its that wonderful time of the year again, cabinet elections!
Running for a Position
To run for a position, first you must have made a minimum of 10 posts and have been registered on the forums for at least one week. Once that is completed, you may announce your intent to run for one or two positions that you want. You may do so by posting a manifesto in this forum, or by announcing your intent to run in this thread. If you were in the cabinet before, you will need to re-announce your intent to run for the position you want.
The requirements for running for UN delegate are a bit different. The same rules as above also apply, however you also have to have been in Hyrule for at least six months or more, or have served in the regional cabinet, and have to have a nation in the UN in Hyrule. If your UN nation is not your main nation, then please tell us what that nation is.
If you want to run for Minister of Civilisation, you will need to know how to use an image editing program (MS Paint will do, but Photoshop or the GIMP are preferred), as the MoC is in charge of updating the regional map.
After this...
After you have done the above (made 10 posts and announce your intent to run in this thread), you are allowed to create a topic in this forum that can state why you're interested in the position, your goals if you want that position, et cetera (like a speech or manifesto). You are also allowed to promote your campaign in your sig, and you are also allowed to promote your campaign on the Civil HQ in the main NationStates game itself (also, someone should include a link to the forum telling people to register, vote, and post). Keep in mind that you are only allowed to run for two positions.
Elections for a position will begin three days after the first candidate announces his/her intent to run, and the elections themselves will last for five days. Remember that until an election starts, you can run for a position that one or more person has too! (Once elected, you will have to be active in your ministry and do that job. Unless you announce that you'll be away for a certain period of time, you will be informed of the consequences.)
