Red Sox Report: Election Edition January 8th, 2007
Inc-red-ible Fact: The postitions of IAM, FAM, IO and HJ went unopposed!
1. Government Posts Filled
Going off of the statistic above the following people won the above positions: Deisel 10 - IO Micky -FAM Teredona-IAM THe Southern Acre- HJ
Congratulations!
2. Presidential Debates: Georgdem v. My Urinary Tract
The Presidential race got off to a clean start yeterday as the two challengers both outline their plans for RSN during their term, if elected. Georgdem's major plans involve recruitment (getting and maintaining 100 nations in the region), the "fun factor", activity (encoraging residents to participate in the forums), and improving teamwork within the govenment. My Urinary Tract's plans to focus on foreign affairs and immigration among other things.
3. Who wants to be FG?
Since the people who were nominated for FG went for other posts, the office is currently vacant. A debate ensued as to whether we should wait untill the Presidential election was over and allow the loser of that to run, or restart nominations for the postition immediatly. It seems the incoming Internal Affairs Minister would have the final say.
News, Incredible Fact: Teredona
Please give me feedback, questions, comments, or suggestions. Thanks, and go Sox! This is a government-endorsed newspaper but all news, articles, and editorials are the opinion of the author only and not necessarily all of RSN.[/color]

"First of all, let me apologize for the recent unorganization and the RSR a few weeks ago that contained slanderous libel. I am not "leaving" - just stepping back a notch and reducing my responsibilities which bordered on insane. I've taken a break and am enjoying it a lot. I'd like to bring a new vitality to the region, a new purpose. As it stands now, I feel like RSN is wallowing in it's place, muddling around and editing useless legislation. Instead, I'd like the region to have more of a purpose, a way to attract more members and make the region more fun. Last week Utract accused me of deserting the region and said I was reponsible for the non-existant other articles. No, that was because the other authors didn't write them on time, something that has happened consistently. I still think my region is spiraling into the depths of NationStates where hundreds of once-glorious regions have fallen apart due to inactivity. Don't get me wrong - we have a great bunch of super active members... however there are only a handful of us around and the number isn't growing. If any of you have any ideas on how we could revitalize, please contact me immediately as I am desperate for some help. I don't think others in this region realize the situation we are in and dismiss me as a crazy lunatic making up a problem, however I think they will see the truth soon enough unless we change. Haven't all of you older nations seen great nations eventually wither away? It happens all the time - especially when citizens of the region deny there is a problem. Anyway, thanks for 20 weeks of reading the Red Sox Report and watching the region grow. Thanks for all your comments, questions, and reactions - I enjoyed writing it. Good luck, keep in touch!

The above is the opinion of win, and win alone.
You can all see from our activity both here and on our forum that much of what he says is not the case. Win has been inactive for the past couple of weeks, and doesn't seem to realise we have turned around from the low point at which he left.
I am sure you are all as happy with RSN as ever, everone currently active in the forum is happy with the direction in which we are moving.
You will note that since win has left we have aquired a number of new members and our regional size has now stabalised.
In short, he is just blowing things out of all proportion, due to his own overexpectation then failure to support it with some actual work on his part.

Red Sox ReportJanuary 26th, 2007RSN nations: 88 UN Delegate endorsements: 18 Posts on forum: 97,9781. The FG Election Results After a second round of nominations and acceptances, Virtall became the new First General after running unopposed. There was some heated debate regarding whether the loosing presidential candidate could stand in the election. Ultimately, the person in question decided not to. An amendment to the constitution has now been put forward to prevent such a situation occuring again. 2. Role Playing Games now openThree new RP's have opened up by Micky and Utract. Since then there has been some renewed interest for our RP section. In Legend's Sailors you play as a survivor of a shipwreck stranded on an island. The thing is you're stranded on Atlantis... In Lawless Hunters a mysterious man posts a note with a mission on it inside the tavern you're sitting in. Do you take up your sword to join in or continue to sip your drink? Set in 15th century France, Utract's RPG has it's players as mercenaries. Want to join us? Click on the above the above links and read the instructions. 3. NoticeIt has come to our attention that some of our citizens have went to our friends and allies for help with our internal affairs. While we appreciate any gestures to aid us, we, the writers and editors of the Red Sox Report, feel that such concerns should be best heard inside RSN and RSN only.
