NEWS
1. Soon after the Sept. 12th elections, Georgdem moved to RSN and has assisted the Immigration Officer Virtall in his duties. Aggressive recruiting and help from a wide range of RSN citizens has led to a flood of newcomers to the region. Many of these new friends have joined the forum. Hopefully this trend will continue!
2. On the other hand, inactivity is a large problem in the government. The elected Vice President "Western Mountain" has strangely been absent from the forum even after repeated promises during the election about his activity. Though this could simply be a computer problem, our Vice President has disappeared off the face of the earth and significantly complicated matters on the forum. At the time he left, Western Mountain was our only functioning admin. Many citizens have been outraged and are legally calling for his removal from office, a procedure that will commence soon.
3. Ever-influential "My Urinary Tract" has decided to start two newspapers. These papers will be independent from the government entirely. The RSN Times will focus on news while the RSN WANKA will focus on making fun of the government and criticizing them as much as possible. Urinary Tract is not in the government this term and uses the papers to fill his free time. These papers have a good relationship with the RSR and hopefully can flourish simultaneously. Links can be found HERE.

How long are government members elected for? RSN's "Regional Council" has a two month term. Q102 and Jethnea elect their government's for three months. Aberdeen's UN Delegate is elected for a six month term! As for The Great Land of the Moon, well, they don't seem to have much of a government...

Power hungry maniacs. That is what we have leading RSN today. Egotistical nutters. There lives are dedicated to turning Red Sox Nation into some kind of totalitarian state. Currently, the Regional Council do not control everything. But they want to...
The proposed new bill that would create an independent intelligence agency for RSN is pointless. (Red Sox Intelligence Agency Act - can be seen HERE) They give no reason as to why it is necessary and don’t tackle arguments saying why its not. There is a clear reason why they are doing this. Its because the agency will be independent of the Regional Council. They won’t have any control over what it does, and will have very limited influence over who becomes part of it. They’re scared, and I say, for the good of the region, that we should realize their fears.
Red-iculous News

This week has seen the passing of two important pieces of legislation. The Unification of the Realm Act and The Regional Protector Act have both passed. This to me seems a very positive move forward for the region. The Unification of the Realm Act means that now we have a united region with no parties; a region which votes for the best candidate, instead of the candidate that is a fellow party member. A united region is far better than a split one. The Regional Protector Act is another act planning for an emergency. I think it is very good we have this piece if legislation in case of the unlikely event of Winstonopia leaving the region! Other pieces of legislation have also been proposed by several members of the region. For example, The Red Sox Intelligence Agency Act aims to gather intelligence on potential threats to the region and our allies. All of this legislation is for the better and I offer my support for it. Our application for an embassy in The Lexicon, although taking time, will be a great improvement for the region. One of the greatest gifts we have is the ability to align ourselves with strong, powerful allies. All in all this has been a excellent week for the region.
