On behalf of everyone from around the world, welcome to the 2008 Hyrule Summer Olympics, held here in the heart of the British Empire, London! We know you are ecstatic to see athletes from around the world coming here for 17 days to challenge themselves in the hardest way possible, and to hopefully bring home the gold for their country! Now, today, we have the Opening Ceremonies for you at the Olympic Stadium here, so let's go down there, where the Ceremonies are about to begin.....
================
"On behalf of the Olympic Committee, these games are now officially open here in London! Please stand as we play the national anthem for Robengrad, God Save the Queen."
(Cue national anthem)
"Thank you. Now then, I understand the assembly of nations is ready. We will begin with the host country, then proceed onward. So, please welcome in our first group, the British!"
(Cue switching to television coverage)
"And happy Olympics to those of you tuning in from around the world. Whether you're watching from London or Riefort, we know you'll be in for a great Olympiad."
"Right now, we have the first nation just entering the stadium, the British of the Robengrad Empire, decked out in a uniform donning the colors of the Union Jack. They also are bringing in the largest delegation of athletes from all of the participating nations, which is expected, considering that the games are here in their home turf."
"One of the stories with the British here at the Olympics will be with women's marathon runner Paula Radcliffe, who is in her first Olympiad, but in the world marathon circuit, she has 18 gold medals, 6 silver, and 2 bronze. That is impressive. We'll also be seeing the British do well on track and field events, a given with British athletes holding numerous world records."
"The other story with the British is how they'll be treating the Romans, who have just recently been allowed back in, following a coup in the nation of Porcu. The relationship between the two has slowly returned to normal, despite the riot at the British embassy in Rome, thus showing the unity the games have brought."
"Well, the next nation is now arriving, another crowd favorite, the Porcuians. Swimming coach Patros Jacques has been the man responsible for getting his swimmers ready, considering that Porcu is a land surrounded by rivers, lakes, and seas. We may also see them exceed in sailing, and we will expect to see them perform quite well in kayaking."
"Football in Porcu is a religion to some, a life to others. And it is no surprise that Porcuian fans are very fanatical, who get very excited when they are cheering on their fans. This cheering hypes up the players, causing them to do well, and we'll see if this holds true."
"Another nation is coming in, and I see it is the Spanish. Recently elected President Gavin Metz has encouraged his athletes into London, despite fears that they wouldn't be ready for the games. This, along with many athletes not training correctly, has led many to not consider the Spanish in any contention for medals. However, hope lies on judo expert Miguel Hernandez, who has maintained hope that he would be coming to London, and has now gotten his reward."
"And, I see the next delegation arriving, and I see that it is the nation of Starman Deluxe. This is the first Olympiad they are participating in, so many people have expected this nation not to do well."
"However, this nation has been training its athletes quite well, and #1 tennis star Micheal Stroff will be in the games, hoping to bring home a medal for his nation. Also, expect a good run in canoeing, with the world #4 team composed of Liles Wilson, Erik Allad, Ralph Bendicion, and John Bendicion also participating."
"Another delegations has just entered the stadium, and this one appears to be the delegation from Nakarak. While Nakar Kor has not said much about the athletes he has sent here to London, he has said 'They are some of the strongest, fiercest, toughest Nakarans in the land'. Therefore, expect to see a medal for Nakarak in wrestling, boxing, and possibly our marathon events."
"Moving on to the next delegation, it is another crowd favorite, this time, the Protoans. With Saiedion Lucian recently returning to power, he has encouraged his athletes on to London, with the hope of mending the tear between Protoa and Robengrad."
"Protoa has an excellent track record in judo, and taekwondo, so we'll see if they can't continue scoring medals there. And, with the well known shooting marksman Karl Wunderbraun participating, he will be raising the bar for other shooting athletes wishing to score a medal in this event."
"Another crowd favorite is now entering, and it appears to be the Clamparapans. Alexander Crosby will be expected to perform well in the triple jump event, while Zachary Ells should be maintaining consistency in the 100m hurdles."
"But the real focus will be on cycling, where the #2 and #3 ranked cyclists are from Clamparapa. And with another Clamparapan in the #5 position, a sweep in the 200km cycling event may be possible, depending on how the other nations can react."
"And, another delegation is coming in, this one appears to be Sorboldistan. Not much is known about this country's athletes, but current world boxing champion Igor Storvakovich is from Sorboldistan, so he may be able to walk home with the hold, provided he can eliminate his competition."
"Another unknown nation is entering, this time the Pacific States Coalition. While we have no information on this delegation, we do know that they have the potential to do well in the swimming events."
"Another low-profile nation is making its way in, this one appears to be the Confederate States of America. But, we can expect to see them place well in the marathon and the shooting events, thanks to the wilderness expanse that spreads throughout the rural lands."
"We have another crowd favorite coming in, and it's Canton Rouge. Coming in with the Canton Rouge team is current #1 rated cyclist Claude Jensois, who will be riding in the 200km event. Canton Rouge also 2 other cyclists ranked in the top 10 at #6 and #8, so we'll expect to see a huge competition between Canton Rouge and Clamparapa."
"Now, the joint teams of East and South Malaysia are entering the stadium. We expect that these two will be in fierce competition with one another, as they vie for success in archery and wrestling. Meanwhile, expect to also see one of their tennis stars perform high here, hopefully getting a medal."
"The Stargate SG-1 nation has just made its way inside. Like Starman Deluxe, this is also a nation who will be in its first Olympic Games. Like Starman Deluxe, training for their athletes has been going on, with rising stars seen in football, golf, and the velodrome events."
"I see that we now have the delegation of Tallsville coming in. Although the mountainous country would be better suited for Winter Olympics, in the summer, the mountain roads are excellent for cycling, so they could potentially disrupt a sweep for either Canton Rouge or Clamparapa."
"And now, the Skydiving Penguins have made their way into the arena. We can expect this nation to do well in baseball and softball, as they are the national sports of the nation. They also have the potential to excell in wrestling."
"And finally, the delegation from Ness Snorlaxia is coming in. This mystical nation is well rounded in all events, and has the potential to have one of its athletes disrupt one of the star contenders from other nations wanting to get a medal."
===========
"Now that all nations have arrived, I see that the Olympic Flame is coming into the stadium, with former star athlete Roger Bannister running the Olympic flame in. As everyone knows, he was the first athlete to break the four minute mile barrier, and the crowd is going nuts watching him run the final leg up to where the torch will light the bowl, officially starting the competition."
"And, I see that Roger has made his way to the bowl now. He is igniting the bowl, and the flame erupting now is lighting up the night sky, with fireworks forming the five Olympic rings high above the stadium."
"We hope you enjoy this, as tomorrow, the events will start with Taekwondo, Judo, and the start of Golf and Football. Now then, the British entertainment is commencing, so we'll see you tomorrow."
(Cue start of entertainment)

"Welcome to the first day of competition! Right now, we have football and golf going on right now, so let's head over first off to Royal Birkdale Golf Club, where the 1st round has just started..."
==========
"Yes, we have 18 foursomes, so 72 players are on the course right now. Of course, only 3 wil be returning with a medal. Each foresome is stating out on a different hole, in order to better serve the golfers, and the course."
"Right now, we're focusing on the enormous sixth hole, which is a 499 yard Par 4. Congo's Mbathe Nwezki has started off well, nailing a 278 yard drive right down the middle of the fairway. Meanwhile, Pacific State Coalition's Carl Lanner has driven his first shot onto the right edge of the fairway. South African Petyr Voodjika has sent his first shot unfortunately into the rough, making a recovery all the more important. And British golfer Jonathan Applewood has made his drive go for 250 yards, a nice conservative shot."
"Looking now on the Par 3 14th hole, we see that all four there have just made their putts, and are waiting for the 15th hole to open up. C.S.A.'s Davis Woods has birdied, Porcuian Luigi Frazetti also birdied, Clamparapan Robert Zennith has made par, and Tallsville's Jacob Danner has made an unfortunate bogey."
"Before we switch to football, on the 10th hole, a Par 4 at 412 yards, we wish to point out that South Malaysia's Eric Vanderkan has made a miraculous eagle, stunning the crowd with this great shot. Perhaps he may be a force to be reckoned with in this event. Now, we bring it over to football correspondent Jack Rabbit in London. Jack?"
==================
"Yes, we're reporting on football 'ere in London because right now, the teams are in six different venues all around Britain. 32 nations are participating 'ere, and we have the first matchups for you now. They are as follow:"
Clamparapa v.s. Pacific States Coalition Porcu v.s. Britain Congo v.s. Spain Protoa v.s. Stargate SG-1 Starman Deluxe v.s. Nakarak Canton Rouge v.s. Chang Lung Panama v.s. Zionir Norway v.s. Malaysia Kaitrel v.s. Russia Skydiving Penguins v.s. Schiermannhoven New France v.s. Singapore
"As you can see, this will be a great event, and it looks like the first kick-offs are starting now. The first eight nations are at Glasgow's Hampden Park, the next eight are at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, the next eight will be at Manchester's Old Trafford, and the final eight will be at Newcastle's St James' Park."
"Well, we'll return tonight with full Olympic coverage, including 1st round scores for football, golf, and how taekwondo and judo did. Until then, see you later!"

"Welcome back! We have Day 1's results, so we'll show them to you right now!"
"In mens judo, it was an action packed day as renown Malaysian expert Pingay Masu beat South Malaysia's Jack Vendell to win the gold medal. Nakaran Davak Glar took the bronze, edging out Singapore's Robert Tsui. For women's judo, Ness Snorlaxia's Jessica Smith stunned the crowd, by beating expected victor Michelle Robertson from Clamparapa. Bronze was taken by Porcu's Antonia Garisbaldi."
"Over to men's taekwondo, where once again, the Oriental nations did well, but this time, it was Chinese expert Eric Hang beat East Malaysia's Joseph Abberden for gold. Bronze went to Michael Po from Singapore, who knocked out Canton Rouge's Claude Robe after an intense matchup. For women's taekwondo, the Confederate States of America's Anne Broody knocked out the Pacific States Coalition's Sandy Baker in the gold matchup. Bronze was awarded to Norwegian Anna Thorsdottir, after wiping out Britian's Cassandra Carlson."
"In golf, the course and the weather has remarkably held out well for the golfers on day 1. However, the British golfers have a home field advantage as in the top 10, 3 of those are British. Here are the top 10...."
T1. Mark O'Connol (GBR) - 3 Jacob Smith (NES) - 3 Davis Woods (CSA) Richard Carnell (GBR) - 3 Michael Carruthers (GBR) - 3 T6 Eric Vanderkan (SML) - 2 Mbathe Nwezki (CON) - 2 Luigi Frazetti (POR) - 2 Jacques Petrer (CNR) - 2 10 Robert Zennith (CLA) - 1
"Tomorrow will be a windy and a rainy day out at Royal Birkdale, so the leaderboard will probably change. Now, we bring you the football results."
"In football, it was a day of shock, awe, triumph, failure, disappointment, and strength, as hardened teams were pitted against each other. Our main story though is between the British team and the Porcuian team. In the first half, the Porcuians scored three goals, and had an excellent defense, blocking any goal attempts from the British. But in the second half, the British fought back, scoring three quick goals, and rallying the British fans, who were on edge. It all came down to the last minute, as British captain Steve Gerrard scored a last minute goal, bringing the final to 4-3. Rather than get upset, the Porcuian's accepted this without too much chaos, knowing all too well that any backlash against the British on their territory would be chaotic. Now, for the rest of the scores."
Clamparapa v.s. Pacific States Coalition (Clamparapa won, 2-0) Porcu v.s. Britain (Britain won 4-3) Congo v.s. Spain (Spain won 1-0) Protoa v.s. Stargate SG-1 (Protoa won 3-1) Starman Deluxe v.s. Nakarak (Nakarak won, 2-1 OT) Canton Rouge v.s. Confederate States of America (Canton Rouge won 4-0) United States of America v.s. East Malaysia (East Malaysia won 1-0 OT) Kristchboilek v.s. South Malaysia (South Malaysia won 3-2) Tallsville v.s. Sorboldistan (Tallsville won 2-0) Atlantico Norte v.s. Iraq (Atlantico Norte won 2-1 OT) Ness Snorlaxia v.s. Chang Lung (Ness Snorlaxia won 4-1) Panama v.s. Zionir (Zionir won 3-1) Norway v.s. Malaysia (Norway one 1-0 OT) Kaitrel v.s. Russia (Kaitrel won 3-1) Skydiving Penguins v.s. Schiermannhoven (Schiermannhoven won 4-2) New France v.s. Singapore (New France won 4-1)
"With those results, here are the matches for tomorrow."
Clamparapa v.s. Britain Spain v.s. Protoa Nakarak v.s. Canton Rouge East Malaysia v.s. South Malaysia Tallsville v.s. Atlantico Norte Ness Snorlaxia v.s. Zionir Norway v.s. Kaitrel Schiermannhoven v.s. New France
"Tomorrow, we'll have more golf, football, the start of tennis, polo, and for the extreme fans out there, we'll be having some BMX for you! Until then, see you later!"

- PBC Excerpt -
"Well, as many of you are probably already aware our grand football team had to accept a bitter defeat at the hands of the host nation and despite other medal victories for Porcu, whether it is right or wrong, many people will consider this Olympiad a failure. We've been showing you highlights of the game so far and now we will be joined by our football analyst who should be able to shed some light on the situation...Marco Cappadona, it's a pleasure to see you again!"
"Same here."
"So...What happened?"
"Well, I may be the first Porcuian to do this but I would like to congratulate the British on their victory. Not many teams could do what they've done and in fact throughout football history not many have, so they're in some special company right now. To be perfectly honest, I really began to worry when our team went up by three goals in the first half, two of which were five minutes apart...It's just not Porcu football! We play tough, aggressive, defensive football and score a few goals throughout the game; never all at once like today.
Simply put it was a lack on concentration and quite frankly there probably was some feeling of invincibility on the part of our players. The British are a tenacious bunch that's for sure and as civilized people I think we should give credit when credit's due. They certainly put on a show that will be remembered by hundreds of thousands of fans in the stands and millions across the world. That said, look for our boys to bounce back during the next few months as qualifying for the World Cup begins. True it would be very nice to accompany a World Cup with a Gold medal but that'll have to wait another six years at least.
Also, I would like to state that..."
"I don't mean to interrupt Marco but we have some breaking news. It has just been reported that Porcuian football coach Marcello Govanni has been released by team management and a search is already underway for a replacement. Thoughts?"
"Not surprising in the least. Remember Luca that period of chaos within the football organization for Porcu, between 87' to 89'? We went through four coaches before the team won any significant matches and eventually redeemed themselves, the organization, and the country with a solid World Cup performance!
But as I was saying before, listen people there is still a lot of sports left to be played! We've got sailing, swimming, rowing, and a bunch of other sports left to be decided so there is no reason to sulk completely...I can guarantee you those athletes work their butts off to try and not only bring themselves a little glory but this entire nation as well! Yes, I am disappointed with our football team but there is still plenty to cheer about..."

"Welcome to day two of competition! We have three events starting today, and the continuation of two! So, let's get down to our official golf coverage at Royal Birkdale."
==========
"Yes, today, the weather is not cooperating, as we have rain and wind gusts of up to 72 kilometers per hour. But that is not stopping the athletes from continuing on as Davis Woods of the Pacific States Coalition has broken the five way tie for the lead with a birdie on the Par 5 15th hole. Meanwhile, the tie for second place has dropped again to three players as Britain's Richard Carnell gets a rough start on the 1st hole, bogeying it."
"Meanwhile, rising Protoan star Gunther Esser has finally broken even, scoring a birdie on the 3rd hole, to the delight of the gallery. However, the same cannot be said for the other Protoan golfer, Wilhelm Schmidt, who has scored a disappointing double bogey, dropping to -4 for the tournament. It's still anybodies tournament however, as there is still this round and two more rounds to go. Now, we understand that the BMX competition is starting up, so let's switch over to there, which is near Cardiff."
=========
"Yes, this is a special moment, as this is the first time ever BMX has been in the Olympic games. 48 riders have the potential to get the gold here. Now, the way it's set up is as follows..."
"There will be 4 heats of 12 riders each. The top rider from each heat will advance to the final round. Then, there will be the semi-final rounds of 11 riders per semi and 4 semis, where once again, the top rider will advance. The remaining will go on to the last chance qualifier, where it's 10 riders per LCQ and 4 LCQ's. This time, the top two riders from the LCQ will advance to the final, and the rest will go home with no shot."
"Heat number 1 is about to begin, and riding in it is current world champion Alfredo Vespucci of Porcu. He has walked away with the gold three times in the past Extreme Games, and he's looking to add an Olympic gold to his medal count. But the U.S.'s Matthew Flandish could potentially knock that out, as he was the prior world champion, and he'll be looking for revenge."
"The thirty second board is up, and the riders are ready to go. The board is now sideways, signaling ten seconds until the start. And the gates drop, and they head off! Alfredo Vespucci has taken the early lead, with Matthew Flandish behind him, and Sorboldistan's Igor Romasky in third. As the group heads down to the second straight, we see a tight race developing and, OH MY GOD! Norway's Kal Viskag has wrecked, taking down half of the pack with him. Now, it's just a race between the top three, to see who will advance on, and as they head down the last straight, it looks like Alfredo Vespucci will win heat number 1! The rest will have to go on to the semi-final unfortunately."
"While the other heats continue, we'll show our final daytime coverage, this time, the polo event. Enjoy!"
=============
"Yes, this year's polo event will be quite amazing, as the top 16 squads from around the world will face off for gold. Our main focus this year is on Canton Rouge, who have won the past three Polo events, and are going for number four. Their fiercest competition will once again come from their neighbors the Protoans, who are eager to dethrone the reigning polo champions. Here are your matchups for the event:"
Protoa v.s. Confederate States of America Porcu v.s. Tallsville South Malaysia v.s. Canton Rouge Pacific States Coalition v.s. East Malaysia Clamparapa v.s. Kaitrel Britain v.s. Ness Snorlaxia Sorboldistan v.s. Russia Schiermannhoven v.s. United States of America
"That's your matchup, so we hope you tune in tonight for the results. Until then, see you later!"

"Welcome back to your evening coverage of Day 2! Here are the highlights for today!"
"We start once more in golf, where the weather was less than cooperative for the athletes. However, this did not stop round 2 from being played. And at the end of day 2, Davis Woods leads the field of 72. Here are the results after the midway point..."
1 Davis Woods (CSA) - 5 T2 Mark O'Connol (GBR) - 4 Jacob Smith (NES) - 4 T4 Eric Vanderkan (SML) - 2 Mbathe Nwezki (CON) - 2 Luigi Frazetti (POR) - 2 Jacques Petrer (CNR) - 2 T8 Alessandro Vasquez (SPA) -1 Joseph Aberden (USA) -1 10 Gunther Esser (PRO) E
"Over to football, where once again, expected and unexpected victories were achieved. Our focus tonight is on the match between Protoa and Spain. Both were evenly matched up throughout the two halves, leading to a shootout. Once again, neither side could score until the final two, when Protoan star Mikael Verner made a powerful goal on the upper left corner, and the Spanish could not muster the strength to counter the Protoan move."
"Now then, your results for the second round of football..."
Clamparapa v.s. Britain (Britain won 2-1) Spain v.s. Protoa (Protoa won 1-0 OT) Nakarak v.s. Canton Rouge (Canton Rouge won 4-1) East Malaysia v.s. South Malaysia (East Malaysia won 3-2 OT) Tallsville v.s. Atlantico Norte (Tallsville won 1-0 OT) Ness Snorlaxia v.s. Zionir (Ness Snorlaxia won 3-1) Norway v.s. Kaitrel (Kaitrel won 2-0) Schiermannhoven v.s. New France (Schiermannhoven won 1-0)
Tomorrow's matches will be as follows then:
Britain v.s. Protoa Canton Rouge v.s. East Malaysia Tallsville v.s. Ness Snorlaxia Kaitrel v.s. Schiermannhoven
"Onto polo. It appears Canton Rouge is once again on the path to another gold, knocking out South Malaysia's team with no remorse. Meanwhile, here are the results of the other seven competitions..."
Protoa v.s. Confederate States of America (Protoa wins 7-3) Porcu v.s. Tallsville (Porcu wins 6-1) South Malaysia v.s. Canton Rouge (Canton Rouge wins 8-0) Pacific States Coalition v.s. East Malaysia (Pacific States Coalition wins 6-5) Clamparapa v.s. Kaitrel (Kaitrel wins 5-2) Britain v.s. Ness Snorlaxia (Britain wins 7-4) Sorboldistan v.s. Russia (Russia wins 5-4) Schiermannhoven v.s. United States of America (Schiermannhoven wins 7-2)
"This means tomorrow's polo matchup will be as follows..."
Protoa v.s. Porcu Canton Rouge v.s. Pacific States Coalition Kaitrel v.s. Britain Russia v.s. Schiermannhoven
"Now, onto tennis. Only eight nations have sent an athlete, due to the Asian Tennis Open at Hong Kong currently. But, what we have is as follows:"
Nicolas Sanchez (SPA) v.s. Carlo Frazannianno (POR) Carlo Frazannianno wins Elrik Sanderson (SCH) v.s. Louis Manderhavy (CSA) Louis Manderhavy wins Andy Murray (GBR) v.s. Alexander Anwy (NES) Andy Murray wins Micheal Stroff (STR) v.s. Adolf Wesser (PRO) Michael Stroff wins
"This makes tomorrow's matchup as follows..."
Carlo Frazannianno v.s. Louis Manderhavy Andy Murray v.s. Michael Stroff
"Finally, the BMX race. The final was action packed, with 16 of the world's best cycling down a 40 second course. But in the end, crowd favorite Alfredo Vespucci of Porcu went on to grab the gold. Former world champion Matthew Flandish of the U.S. took silver, and bronze went to Britain's Mark Hamilton."
"Tomorrow, we bring more action with tennis, polo, football, golf, and velodrome cycling! Until then, see you later!"

Following years of debate about having a United British football team the decision appears to have paid off. With Team GB already through to the semi-finals the results speak for themselves. With players like Scott Sinclair, Wayne Rooney and Steve Gerrard combining as well as they are it comes as no suprise that the team is performing as well as it is.
Great Britian fathered football and now it looks like taking its first glory since the 1966 World Cup Final. With the pre tournament favourites Porcu being unceremoniously dumped out in the first round by Team GB, they must now fancy their chances"
<Cut to GB Captain Steve Gerrard> "Well we were a bit shell shocked at half time to be honest, a couple of mistakes had let them take a far bigger advantage than we would have liked. But after getting the hairdryer treatment from Sir Alex we knew we had to pull it around for the Empire. Seeing Wayne get that hat-trick was amazing. We all knew he had it in him, but he was playing like a man possessed."
"And what about your goal Steve? From nigh on 40 yards, I'll bet that was a special moment"
"Yeah well, its always good to see them go in, especially from that sort of range, and to do it in the final seconds was even better. I'm just glad we are performing as well as we are and hope we can go all the way."
"Thank you Steven."
Now, in tennis Britains Andy Murray is performing very well and looks like grabbing a medal down at Wimbledon. Having had the best season of his career so far can he take the gold? We certainly hope so.

"Welcome to your daytime coverage for day 3 of the Olympics! The golf event has just finished, so we bring you live now to Royal Birkdale for the results."
========
"Yes, the weather today improved, having only light wind gusts for the players. But that didn't stop some athletes from erring on the course."
"Davis Woods still retains his lead, with Mark O'Connol right on his tail. But, the remaining top 10 has changed significantly, so we'll show you the leaderboard."
1 Davis Woods (CSA) - 7 2 Mark O'Connol (GBR) - 6 3 Mbathe Nwezki (CON) - 4 T4 Luigi Frazetti (POR) - 3 Alessandro Vasquez (SPA) - 3 Jacques Petrer (CNR) - 3 Gunther Esser (PRO) - 3 T8 Joseph Aberden (USA) - 2 Robert Zennith (CLA) - 2 Michael Carruthers (GBR) -2
"But, tomorrow will truly decide our Olympic champion for golf, as anything can happen the last day. Will Davis Woods maintain his lead? Or will the rest of the pack be able to knock off his lead? Only time will tell, but now, we go live to tennis where Andy Murray and Michael Stroff are currently tied, going into the last set, with one game each in the final set."
==================
"And Andy Murray serves....sends it down to the right side of Michael Stroff, Stroff returns it, and Murray counters with a nice underhand, sends it down the left side, and Stroff cannot reach it! 15-Love."
"Murray serves again, putting a lot of power into this serve, and Stroff returns it, but hits the net! 30-Love."
"Murray with the serve again, decides to send it down the left side, and look at this, Murray errs and hits it outside the court! 30-15."
"Murray with the serve, sends it down the right side, Stroff with the counter, sends it down to Murray, and Murray cannot reach it in time! 30-30."
"Murray now with the serve, this time walloping it down the middle of the court, and Stroff doesn't reach it until a moment too late! 40-30, match point for Murray."
"Murray now, potentially going on to the gold medal round. He serves it, down the left side, Stroff gets it, and sends it back down the middle, and Murray sends it back to the right side. And Stroff with a diving serve, sends it back to Murray! But Murray returns it, and since Stroff cannot reach it, Murray wins the game, set, and match! But look at this, Murray is heading over, and the two hug each other, showing good sportsmanship! That is just amazing!"
"With Carlo Frazannianno also advancing, the tennis finals will be Carlo Frazannianno v.s. Andy Murray, this will truly be an epic match! For our final daytime coverage, we go to the velodrome, where the 100m and 400m events for men and women have been completed, and we are on the 1000m events for men and women."
================
"Welcome, right now, we're on the women's velodrome event, and we'll give you medal results with tonight's show. The velodrome circuit is 100m in length, so for the 1k event, the riders will be going around 10 times! Right now, we're on lap number three, and in the lead, it is Sorboldistan's Helga Vordolsta. Trailing her is Starman Deluxe's Christina Rich, Protoa's Stephanie Kruger, and Tallsville's Anna Wellenstein. And we have a change for fifth place, as Canton Rouge's Rebecca Voyent passed the Pacific States Coalition's Mary Meller."
"Helga Vordolsta is still leading as we pass the midway point. And in sixth place now, is Porcu's Maria Vorellini, and Mary Meller continues to drop back! I think Mary Meller is suffering from fatigue, as she just cannot muster the strength to go on!"
"Final lap, and the top three are remaining constant, as the tempo increases, and Anna Wellenstein picks up the pace, passing Stephanie Krueger on the third corner, and it's over! Helga Vordolsta takes gold for the 1000m women's velodrome, with Christina Rich taking silver, and Anna Wellenstien settling for bronze. Now, that was a race to remember!"

"Welcome back to your primetime coverage for the 2008 Summer Games! Once again, it was an exciting day, but we're focusing on football, polo, and velodrome cycling. For recaps on golf and tennis, check your daytime coverage. Now then, let's start with football!"
===============
"After yesterday's match, British football captain Steve Gerrard was hoping to advance onward to the gold medal match. Well, after today's match, his dream is one step closer to reality as the British squad was able to eliminate the Protoans in a harsh match. The first half saw goal after goal being scored, with it ending tied 2-2. But, the Protoans faced an uphill battle in the second half as star right winger Marx Karvel dislocated his hip tripping while running towards the ball. Then, midfielder (*slaps Canton* - Rob) Horst Beschel received a red card for numerous fouls trying to interfere with the game. In the end, Britain would take the game with a 5-3 victory. Now, the scores of the other games..."
Britain v.s. Protoa (Britain won 5-3) Canton Rouge v.s. East Malaysia (Canton Rouge won 3-2 OT) Tallsville v.s. Ness Snorlaxia (Ness Snorlaxia won 2-0) Kaitrel v.s. Schiermannhoven (Kaitrel won 4-3)
"Tomorrow's matchup will be as follows:"
Britain v.s. Canton Rouge Ness Snorlaxia v.s. Kaitrel
"For matchup one, although Canton Rouge has done well, expect the match to go to the British, especially with the way the British have been able to defeat crowd favorites. But even then, Canton Rouge has done exceptional to make it to the semis, and may possibly walk away with the bronze. For matchup two however, it may go either way, so it will be dependent on goals scored, and who gets a penalty."
=====================
"Switching to polo, the Canton Rouge squad once again scored victory, this time against the Pacific States Coalition, who could do little to stop the hard charges of Petyr Fluerencraft, Marc Van Refkt, and Johnathan Robeut. This excellent squad won 8-0, showing just how strong this team has become. Meanwhile, here are the results for the other events...."
Protoa v.s. Porcu (Porcu won 7-4) Canton Rouge v.s. Pacific States Coalition (Canton Rouge won 8-0) Kaitrel v.s. Britain (Kaitrel won 6-5) Russia v.s. Schiermannhoven (Russia won 7-2)
"So tomorrow, it'll be as follows:"
Porcu v.s. Canton Rouge Kaitrel v.s. Russia
"Porcu will have a tough time against Canton Rouge, but even if they're forced to the bronze medal round, they'll be able to pick up a medal their, provided they do not face the Russians, who seem eager to make it to the finals for the first time."
=========
"Our final coverage for today is velodrome cycling. We'll show you results first, then move on to main stories:"

"Welcome back to day 4 of the Olympics! We know you've been eagerly following us, waiting to see how your nation is doing in the games, so we'll start off with golf, who had its final round today. So, we now turn it over to our reporter at Royal Birkdale."
===========
"Well, the weather once again favored the athletes, so it would be up to the players themselves to try and go for gold. A playoff would have almost occured if on the 18th hole, Davis Woods bogeyed instead of making par. He was able to sink par however, and just barely beat British competitor Mark O'Connol, with Congo's Mbathe Nwezki scoring his nation's first ever medal, by grabbing third. The final results are as follows:"
1 Davis Woods (CSA) - 11 2 Mark O'Connol (GBR) - 10 3 Mbathe Nwezki (CON) - 8 T4 Luigi Frazetti (POR) - 6 Alessandro Vasquez (SPA) - 6 T6 Jacques Petrer (CNR) - 4 Gunther Esser (PRO) - 4 T8 Joseph Aberden (USA) - 2 Robert Zennith (CLA) - 2 10 Jacob Smith (NES) - 1
"We were able to get an interview with both Davis Woods and Mark O'Connol after the medal ceremony, here it is:"
Committee: "Congratulations, both of you, on a close match here at Royal Birkdale."
Davis Woods: "Thank you."
Mark O'Connol: "Thank you."
C: "Mark, going into the final round today, did you think you could surpass Davis?"
M: "Yes, mainly because Royal Birkdale is my home course, but I had to admit, the stress of being in second place was really getting to me. And after I finished, I was just hoping Davis would flop somewhere."
C: "Davis, it was your miraculous putt on the 18th that prevented you and Mark from going into a playoff. Had you two faced off, who would have won?"
D: "I reckon Mark would have. I mean, he's a better player under them sudden death scenarios."
C: "One last question. Do you see golf in the Olympics in the future?"
M: "I sure hope so. We received a large gathering of people here, especially on the last day to see who would end up taking the gold medal. They really do seem to appreciate all we do out here."
D: "Most certainly, we're like role models to the viewers watching us. We're not doping or hepped up on drugs."
C: "Thank you for your time."
"You can watch the whole interview on the evening coverage, but now, we've got live coverage of the bronze medal matchup for tennis. Let's go there now."
==============
"And it's Louis Manderhavy of the C.S.A. facing Michael Stroff, right now we're in the second set, and Michael Stroff is looking to get a bronze medal, as he only needs one more game. Louis Manderhavy also has a game, so this game will determine whether we go on to the tiebreaker, or not."
"Louis serves it, sends it over to Michael, and Michael responds with a powerful backhand serve! Louis cannot reach it in time! 15-Love."
"Louis with the serve again, ohh, and he may have hit it too hard, as, it sways to the right, going out of bounds! 30-Love."
"Louis again with the serve, to the right towards Michael, Michael sends it back, and it's a double bounce! 40-Love, match point."
"Louis now must keep the match going, as he serves it to Michael, Michael sends it back, Louis gives it an underhand to Michael, Michael sends it back, and Louis cannot reach it! Game, set, and match to Michael Stroff, who makes a great comeback after losing yesterday to Andy Murray! Oh, this is a great event!"
"The gold medal matchup for tennis will be tonight, but right now, before we go, we have the end of the 40m rifle event for you. Enjoy!"
==============
"As the final round for the 40m rifle event continues, it is tied between Finland's Marcus Duranholm, and Spain's Antonio Salazar for the lead."
"Marcus Duranholm is up. He has the target eyed, and he fires. Close, but not on the bullseye, as he must settle for a 9, bringing his score to 99. He has to hope that Antonio Salazar gets a 9 or worse, to force a playoff."
"And Antonio Salazar takes his position. He aims, and fires, and it looks like he nailed the bullseye! A perfect 100, the first time ever for the Olympics! And all the fans, even the non-Spanish ones, are cheering as Antonio Salazar makes Olympic history! So Antonio Salazar takes home the gold, Marcus Duranholm the silver, and Wang Chung's Ali Badazan will carry the bronze."
===============
"We hope you'll tune in to our evening coverage. Until then, see you later!"

"Welcome back to the primetime coverage for day 4! First, we head over to football!"
===========
"The British have had many reasons to be joyous so far in the Olympics, and tonight, there is more reason to be so, as they have advanced to the gold medal round, eliminating Canton Rouge by a score of three to one. In the other matchup, Ness Snorlaxia faced a tough Kaitrel, but was able to score in overtime, winning by one to nothing. Both matches will be tomorrow, with Canton Rouge and Kaitrel having the early match, and Britain and Ness Snorlaxia in the evening."
============
"On to tennis. Andy Murray pledged he would score a gold medal at tennis, and his wish was granted, as he won two sets to one, once again draing down to the last game as was the case in yesterday's match. Carlo Frazannianno of Porcu will bring home the silver medal, and Michael Stroff of Starman Deluxe reluctantly takes the bronze medal back."
===========
"In polo, Canton Rouge swept the Porcuians, by a score of seven to two. The Porcuians one brief respite was at the start, as two quick goals were made by Luigi Borgero and Franco Mazalani. Canton Rouge then responded with a lightning barrage of shots, and in the end, the Porcuians could not withstand this barrage."
"Russia meanwhile, while expected to win, faced defeat as Igor Vladiskosky suffered a hip injury falling from his horse, and a strengthened Kaitrel squad came back to win six to five. This means Canton Rouge and Kaitrel will face off for the gold, while Porcu and Russia will duke it out for the bronze."
================
"In the shooting events, we have exciting results for you, here they are:"
10m Pistol
1. Roger Dickens (GBR) 2. Patrick Demmers (TAL) 3. Pyang Dutran (MAL)
20m Rifle
1. Henry Van Dam (KRI) 2. Aleksander Rodoly (SOR) 3. Karl Gustav Schmedt (SCH)
40m Rifle
1. Antonio Salazar (SPA) 2. Marcus Duranholm (FIN) 3. Ali Badazan (WNG)
80m Rifle
1. Talik Jaziv (WNG) 2. Marc Petyr Vlasiv (SCH) 3. Thor Vasenson (NOR)
===============
"Finally, we have the marathon. 26.2 miles through London (and yes Rob, put the distance in kilometers) can be a challenge for those not accustomed to long distance running. But the training has pulled off, and here are the top 3!"
Men's Marathon
1. Kadar Nor (NAK) 2. Jakob Burgermeister (PRO) 3. Carlos Velanzazia (SPA)
Women's Marathon
1. Lisa Sweeney (PSC) 2. Samantha Swisler (EML) 3. Sarah Hamilton (KRB)
==================
"Before we go, the full golf interview for you!"
==================
Committee: "Congratulations, both of you, on a close match here at Royal Birkdale."
Davis Woods: "Thank you."
Mark O'Connol: "Thank you."
C: "Thoughts on the event?"
D: "It's always fun playing international events, and in front of a large crowd."
M: "Aye, and many people enjoy watching us golf, no matter the weather, as it was on Sunday."
C: "And I understand this is your first victory, Mr. Woods."
D: "Ayup, first year as a professional as well."
C: "Any thoughts?"
D: "Heh, I reckoned I wouldn't be doin' this well, especially after the second day."
C: "Any comments, Mark?"
M: "It's not beginner's luck to win Royal Birkdale, I'll say that."

"And welcome to day five of your Olympic coverage, and we thank you for tuning in. We've got a lot to cover, so here we go!"
==========
"In the early match for football, Kaitrel had a surge of confidence, and wanting to take home some hardware, beat the Canton Rouge squad in an overtime shootout, winning five to four. While Canton Rouge was disappointed about not medaling in football, they've ensured themselves that they have made a remarkable Olympic memory by advancing so far. Meanwhile, the matchup between Britain and Ness Snorlaxia will be tonight, so we hope you watch it."
===========
"For polo, the early match between Porcu and Russia, it would be unknown until the last minutes as to who would take home the bronze. In an amazing display of defiance, Porcu was able to rally its squad, and overcome the Russians, 7-5. This is a humiliating defeat to Russia, who lost to two lower ranked teams, thus lowering their rank in the world standings. And tonight, Canton Rouge and Kaitrel will battle for the gold medal. With Canton Rouge losing in football, expect revenge here in polo."
===========
"On to fencing, where today, we had men's foil. Expected gold medalist nation Nakarak decided not to send an athlete to the foil, instead saving for the sabre event. Instead, it was anybodies game, but we have the results for you here:"
1. Aleks Zadovybich (RUS) 2. Michael Tse-Tsung (SGP) 3. Roland Knur (SML)
==========
"Finally, for our live coverage, here is the men's time trial cycling event, enjoy!"
"And we're on the final third of riders heading out, as Protoan star Andreas Ullrich has left the starting line at Westminster. For those just tuning in, the course runs through London, running north to the outskirts, then finishing in the East End."
"And next up is Spanish rider Miguel Sastre. For those unfamiliar, time trial riders leave one minute apart. Five riders will go after Sastre, finishing the day. Next up will be Russian sensation Vladimir Dredvev, then Clamparapans Michael Zellen, Paul Rodgingstone, and Jeremy Selkin, before finishing with Canton Rouge rider Claude Jensois, who will also be in the 200km event in a couple days."
"Vladimir Dredvev has left the starting gate, and he's building up his speed at a constant pace, critical here, as you must not waste energy. And with some of the time trialists also going on to the 200km event, energy conservation is important."
=====================
"Tonight, you'll receive your expanded coverage on all these events. Until then, see you later!"
