Commander Donahue listened in with an open ear, and when Alli was through, he said, "If the Council needs someone reliable to go after Furloc, I would like to volunteer to go after her. I know that you may not think much of me, but I am true hero to the Human Systems Confederacy. And I would proudly pledge to help out to remove a threat of stability. Of course, I respect whatever decision you have to say about this." Donahue finished and awaited the Council's response.

The Dety told him, "Interesting. You believe you could hunt down Furloc and see her to justice?" Donahue nodded. "Allow us to confer for a few minutes." The Union turned away and spoke amongst themselves. They returned to their posts and the Dety told the two humans, "Commander Donahue, you are granted all the privledges of a Shadaw Agent. We hope you will use this to the best of your abilities and help the galaxy. We wish you will be just and not proceed with your own agenda as an Agent. You are above the law; you are allowed to do whatever it takes to accomplish your mission. This meeting of the Galatic Union is dissolved." Alli looked at Donahue with a new light. Maybe this man would help her get revenge for the death of her unit. She hoped he would let her kill Furloc personally. She meant to ask him this later. As she walked out, she bumped into a man. She was about to throw a rant at him when she saw him crying. She bent down to help him and asked what was wrong...
OOC: I was hoping to possibly get some side missions in here.

OOC: No problem.
IC: The man turned to Alli, and sobbing, he told her, "My wife. My wife, Angelina Vasetti was stationed on Atticanus when the planet was attacked. She...she was killed, and I want her body flown back to Earth where I can bury her. But...but the military won't let me do that. Apparently, they want to study her to better prepare for defense. Please....please won't you help a man who has lost the love of his life?"
Alli turned to the man, and responded, "We'll see what we can do. I remember serving with Angelina on Atticanus. She was a good soldier." Alli then turned to Commander Donahue and said, "Perhaps we should go see what we can do." Donahue responded in the affirmative, and the duo prepared to descend down to the Corridor, the main hub to all of the Arcadium (think the Presidium in the Citadel).
Down at the Corridor, the two made their way over to the Human Systems Confederacy Army booth propped up right by the entrance to the embassy corridor. The man heading the booth saw the two, and said, "Hello soldiers! Nice to see fellow members here in the Arcadium. Tell me, what can I help you with today? Need to experience a far out location? Or perhaps maybe you feel you're in need of a promotion!"

Alli calmly pulled her gun out of her holster and pointed it at the man. "Maybe you can tell us why your keeping Mr. Vasetti's wife's body." The man stood there shaking and backed up. Donahue took Alli's hand and lowered it for her. "No need for violence. Now, why won't Mr. Vasetti's wife by released?" The man hesitated before sayinng why...
OOC: Short, I know, but I think this is along the lines of the dialogue in ME.

"Well as you can see," the man began. "We are conducting research on her body. Perhaps by examining the wounds she suffered, we can hopefully prepare for more assaults in a better way. We do have to stay alive you know."
Alli responder with anger in her voice, "You have plenty of other bodies to use! Why are you choosing her's?!" She was not happy about the fact that such a person could authorize such treatments. "You know, her husband is weeping over her. And all you can say is 'Sorry, we need this for science'. I really wonder if you have a heart at all!"
Donahue then added, "My friend has a point. You should really respect this man's wishes for his wife's body to be returned."
The soldier replied, "Yes, but she is the best preserved body we have for research. We need her so we can better help our forces." This was met with Alli grabbing the man by the collar, and she smirked, "You've already said that. Now unless you want to end up like two men I dealt with earlier, I suggest you send the body back to her husband now!" Donahue also mentioned, "Would you like it if they experimented on you? I certainly wouldn't, and I believe you wouldn't either." Both of them waited for the soldier's response, with Alli growing impatient, and Donahue wondering if negotiating would work with this man...

The man shook and he looked around. "There's no need to get violent. Her body will be released. Tell Mr. Vasetti that she will be flown home." Alli turned and left with Donahue in tow. She found the man who had lost his wife and told him the news. He was very thankful. "Thank you for your help. It does not bring me happiness but at least she will be home." As the pair turned to leave, the man turned around.
"My friend has a brother who is the Captain of a ship called the 'Kingship'. I think he went missing but you'll need to speak to him for more info. He is over in the embassy bar." Alli turned to Donahue and told him that they should help as many people as possible, because they may have info as to Furloc's whereabouts...

Donahue agreed with Alli, and once again, the pair set out to the embassy district, this time to the bar. Upon arriving at the bar, they quickly found the man that Mr. Vasetti was referring to. After greeting the man, they got down to business about the 'Kingship'.
"Yeah, the 'Kingship' disappeared I want to say, about six days ago. He was delivering cargo to the planet Kalonia, but they just stopped responding. I really want to know what happened to my brother and the Kingship. If you helped out, I'd appreciate it." Alli and Donahue agreed, and the two discussed what to do now, considering that there was still much to do not only in the Arcadium, but in the universe as well...

Alli turned to enter the elevator and suddenly bumped into a small man wearing bifocals. "Watch where you're going, you idiot!" She shouted at him. The man looked at her with a scared look in his eyes and mumbled a sorry. He bent down to pick something up, but not before Alli lifted the device off the ground. She scratched her head and puzzled over it.
It was an SGT 450 surveillence device, with the words Furloc written on the back. "What the...", she muttered and turned to see the man become very frightened. "What is this and who are you?!" she shouted...
OOC: I kinda made the engineer a geek, if that's alright with you, Canton.

OOC: That's cool.
IC: The man stuttered, "I'm...I'm...." and to this, Alli repeated, but in a louder tone, "Who are you?!" The man continued to stutter, and Alli was about ready to kill him for not responding. But Donahue, ever the wise, turned to the man, and calmly told him, "Just calm down. Now, what is your name?"
The man responded, "I'm Marrus Kled, a master in electronics amongst my people the Deities. As for that device, I swear I found it on the ground! Honestly, I don't know any Furlocs!" Donahue listened intently, and he told him, "Well, seeing that, would you like to accompany us?" And the Deity replied in the affirmative, much to the dismay of Alli, who saw him as one 'who could not be trusted'. But Donahue was quick to point out that no matter the case, they needed all the help they could get. It was then that the elevator to the docking stations finally arrived. The trio stepped in, and waited to return to the Brittany to follow up on their lead...

ooc: time for my character insert... just so you all know i love vincent valentine from final fantasy vii so that's what he looks like. hope you dont mind a little final fantasy stuff with lost planet too.... Planet MidgarSpades Lucian stood in total silence above the ruined landscape of the planet. The planet's main city was also named Midgar and once was the greatest source for Mako energy, which was used for everything from electricity to weaponry. But after the disaster of a global battle that tried the souls of all man, all that remains is the fractured society and destroyed landscape. Lucian adjusted his triple barreled pistol, which he personally named Cerebrus and sighed. Most people would have shivered in the cold, but Lucian felt safe and secure in the chilly landscape. As his red cape billowed in the gusty winds that ran across the deserted land, he slowly walked to his motorbike, got on and took off to the last remaining city that bordered the city of Midgar respectively called Edge.

Arcadium Docking Bays
As Donahue, Alli, and Marrus exited the elevator that led to the Docking Bays, Donahue noticed someone standing outside the Brittany. Donahue wondered why Admiral Lewis was waiting outside the ship instead of his quarters. None the less, the three of them approached the Captain.
"Captain Lewis, what are you doing here?" Donahue asked, snapping a salute.
"I'm transfering CO duties to you, Commander," he replied, returning the salute. "I'm taking time off from the military to rethink my life plan. Furthermore, you've done a great deal for the crew, and I think they'll look up to you more. Best of luck, Commander!"
"Thank you sir," Donahue responded, and after seeing the Captain off, Donahue led his squad into the Brittany....
The Brittany
Inside the Brittany, the crew had taken the transition quite well. In fact, Donahue noticed that now, the CO quarter's VI units responded to him. After settling in, Donahue radioed in to the ship's navigator, Wilson for orders.
"Wilson, set a course for the SS Kingship. It may be at the planet Kalonia." The voice at the other end acknowledged the order in the affirmative, and the ship set out for the planet, hoping not only to discover the fate of the Kingship, but to also find any leads on Furloc...

The merc held a gun to Captain Vasetti's head and screamed at him, "WHERE'S THE FERSION BASIN? " Vasetti smiled and didn't say a word. "If you won't tell us, the logs will." The merc grinned as he pulled the trigger. Vasetti fell forward, a huge hole in his head. "Tear this ship apart and get the Basin for Furloc." The Kingship was searched but nothing was found until a merc found a data message sent to the planet Midgar. The leader sent word back to Furloc that they had possibly found the Fersion Basin. Furloc scratched her bony chin and made a call to a friend of hers in the Midgar system, Spades Lucian. Just as the mercs were planning on leaving, the Britanny entered the area. "What the Hell?" the leader yeled. "Destroy them! They must not know why we're here!"

Kalona, unkept Spaceport/landing zone
As soon as the Brittany landed, the ship immediately came under fire. The mercs weaponry was low caliber, so the Brittany was safe for the most part. But the ships cannons couldn't effectively engage the mercs without damaging the ship. So Donahue ordered Alli and Marrus with him to remove the mercs that could not be engaged from the ship.
As soon as the three set out, they immediately came under fire. With instinct, Donahue found two mercs and blasted a few shots from his assault rifle, downing them. But, tragedy would soon strike because as the three advanced to a better position, they passed by a stack of oil barrels, and one of the mercs shot at the barrels, causing a massive explosion. The guns then fell silent....
Some time later
Donahue awoke, feeling a little out of it, but otherwise well for wear. He yelled out, "Alli, Marrus, where are you?!" He yelled again, and got a response from Marrus. Donahue walked over to Marrus, and pulled him out from the rubble of what was once a wall. After looking Marrus over, he noticed that Alli was not there, amongst the rubble. And Donahue knew that Alli was probably held captive, if she was still alive.
Out of desperation, Donahue radioed to Wilson, asking him to track the mercs movement if possible. Wilson responded in the affirmative, and Donahue waited patiently for Wilson to respond back. He knew that as the minutes passed, the more likely Alli would be in danger. He only hoped she was alright...

Alli awoke several hours later, chained to a bed. A piece of tape covered her mouth and she could not move. A merc hovered over her with a sinister smile on his face. She tried to use her Taita skills but there was a Traction Cloth over her head, blocking her usage of the powers. Two more mercs walked in and grinned to the one already in there. They proceeded to strip down and then walk towards her. She realzed what they were about to do and struggled to release herself. As they began their torture, her only hope was Donahue and the Brittany...
<Begin Transmission> <Message to Mr. Spades Lucian> <My friend, I am Furloc, a Feron Shadaw Agent. We have met before on occasion and have become friends. This, however, was about 10 years ago, so if you do not remember me, that is fine. I was wondering if you could check a delivery from a ship of mine, called the Kingship. I wanted the cargo but it was sidetracked and sent to your homeworld of Midgar. If you could check the spaceports and send word back to me when you have found it, I would be indebtted to you.> <Your friend, Furloc> <End Transmission>

"Donahue, it's Wilson."
"Talk to me Wilson."
"I've tracked the mercs position. They're at a camp 3 miles north of here. Hang on for a minute, we're dropping the Mackinaw in." Donahue knew the Mackinaw was the light infantry vehicle stowed aboard the Brittany, that allowed for speedy exploration of uncharted worlds. He only hoped that it would arrive soon enough to rescue Alli.
After what felt like an eternity, Donahue saw the Brittany perform a high speed low altitude drop of the Mackinaw. Immediately, Donahue and Marrus jumped inside the vehicle and made their way to the merc camp....
Merc Camp
As the mercs continued their torture, they were unaware of their impending doom. For only a few minutes later, the sound of the Mackinaw's .50 caliber machine gun started firing on the mercs outside of the camp. And while the mercs inside the room with Alli didn't know better, outside, many mercs were being cut down.
Of course, Furloc was long gone, but Donahue decided to cut down as many mercs as he could as long as he had the chance. Therefore, the two of them hopped out of the Mackinaw and cleared the camp building by building using shotguns. Any merc they saw, they wasted with vengeance set on their minds, hoping to find Alli.
After clearing all but the far building where Alli was held, the duo made their way to where she was held. After seeing the door was locked, Marrus offered to hack the door, but Donahue, full of adrenaline, decided instead to blast the lock with a shotgun, thus bringing the door down, and surprising the two mercs inside. Donahue got the gun on one of the mercs, but the other struggled with Donahue, trying to wrest control of the shotgun from him. Donahue in response, kicked the merc in the stomach and followed it up with a blast from his weapon. He then saw Alli in a precarious position and radioed in for the Brittany to evac them ASAP....
Aboard the Brittany...
"How is she, doc?"
"I can't say right now, but she took quite a beating. Apparently, this Traction Cloth was on her for quite some time. And it took more time to remove it. So I'm unsure if the damage is permanent. We'll just have to wait and see."
Donahue cursed himself for failing to watch over his squad. Now, because of it, he had Alli potentialy unable to use her Taita powers permanently, he saw his squad get injured, and above all, he threw away all common logic and right in the name of vengeance. As soon as he returned to his quarters, Donahue cursed the mercs for what they did to Alli. All he had now was the miniscule data they recovered regarding Midgar. But Midgar would have to wait...
