It may be a bit late for me to speak, but I believe the most effective way to rebuild Hyrule (aside from flat out recruiting, of course) is to gradually improve the quality and quantity of the RP boards with a bit of good-old fashioned story-telling. Due to the inactivity in the forums, I propose that people active in Hyrule be able to RP more than one nation (so long as other nations aren't used in conjuction with each other to obviously empower one user's profile) to fill up the empty spaces in the map, and add a bit more flexibility to the overall storylines which can gradually rise out in a short matter of time. I myself have an interesting RP storyline in the process regarding a situation in the nigh-completely empty continent of Africa, and would love to see more nations spring up on the RP boards. Second, I also believe that in conjunction to strengthening the quality of the RP boards, we should actively encourage other members to join in with our game (people play NS mainly for RP reasons), thus strengthening the popular support in Hyrule. We've got some talented writers here already, and I'd hate to see all this RP potential go to waste. *cough* *cough* *Nessie* In the end, we'll ultimately go back to our glory days, and have fun. OOC- I find it funny, however, that Sir Metz wanted to delete my account for *security reasons*.. Dangerous? I do have a life my friend... and don't completely spend my days plotting the demise of player regions in front of my Mac... I'd be able to see what's going on without my account anyway..

It's never too late to speak! Just the phases have already started.
I'm glad to see someone focused on RP. I could be, but since I come from TEP...I'll be honest...I expect higher quality that Hyrule doesn't have...so I'd help out while people helped build HyruleRP up to a better active time and et cetera.
(btw everything here is OOC) And don't worry, I think I could have saved your account to historical protection. XD.

I am indeed thankful for that, SM.. Just for thought, I came from a region (The European Continent) which did have excellent quality RP, and I intend to help Hyrule's relatively 'low-key' RPies with the help of the almighty spell check tool and some words for thought.
But yes, I can see what you mean about RP quality here. It's certainly fallen from the good old days.

Yeah RP has never been Hyrule's strong point. Better than it was when I came here and was RP Mod. Those where the days.
I think my issue is because I came from TEP, which has been known as the RP Capitol of NS, and I just love the RP style there. Hyrule is a whole new ballgame. I'm going to try and get AR some activity with some RP's to help build SM up.

Just come on an RP with me, though, SM... I'm a pretty decent RPer myself, and it wouldn't hurt to pop out several storylines between you and me for the sake of attracting others.

Though I'm not familiar with Hyrulian RPing, this seems like a very good idea.

I'll throw in my two cents. I like to RP a lot, but more so I like to RP my region more. I like to announce who I am appointing as Defense Chancellor, I like to hold press conferences when my region is hit by terrorist attacks, and I like to expand my research and development to include new technology on the battlefield and at home. Use RP to tell a story, the story of your region and its people. You can't go wrong by that.

Some of you may or may not know this but their is a NationStates Convention going on that concerns the future of NationStates. Before you ask the answer is: No I Will Not Hand Out The Link. For the simple fact we don't need to clog up the conference. I've never seen the great minds, leaders, and legendary figures of NS for the most part all together. If you can get a link from someone else, you can, but only reason I did was for the fact I am a member of a feeder that has a target on it (or did) and I can get the snoop on what is going on that could effect us. So far, I have seen a lot that can effect us.
So as I am working on the forum design, no reason why we can't work on other things too like:
[/li][li]Constitutional Suggest-A-Box – Citizen Registry, Shorter Minister Terms [/li][li]Decide if a forum admin or mod would be appropriate to assist Ness [/li][li]Have a better introduction to what NationStates and Hyrule are and what you can do [/li][li](regional population would help and might bring some new activity to the forum)
Also, the anonymous Hyrule Report will be issued. That will be in the newsdesk area if I am not mistaken. It may show up today or tomorrow. I don't know really.
As for what we need to move on to, you can put out your suggestions here at the moment.
edit: took something out due to the fact it could be an eventuality thing.
